Singe signalled for his kits to attack . "The filthy cats are out. Quite a good number of them." He pictured the dead body of the leader , on the forest floor, and his pack attacking the rest of the hopeless lot. Lixsta eyed the leader with her eyes gleaming. With one blow she smashed down the leader, pinning her down by her neck, like how she'd often seen her father battling. She was about to scrape at the cat's head when a sharp pair of claws dug into her hind leg. It was Rainpaw who attacked. She tried out her battle skills , how her mentor had taught her. She sent a mas'sive blow on the fox's head and thought that she was about to win the battle. No such luck. Ray had slapped the apprentice off his sister and the large fox clawed on the apprentice's stomach. Blood flowed freely out of the gash. Thinking the apprentice would die sooner or later he proceeded to kill the rest, helping his sister with the leader. Rainpaw felt lifeless and blacked out slowly. In her mind, she thought if she was already dead, to be in Starclan. Would she be buried, a useless apprentice? Or just thrown into the river? Willowpaw was in fright. She pawed over to her sister and placed a paw over her bleeding belly. With no luck of finding her sister breathing , she called out, "Quick! Rainpaw has fainted!"

[[Twint, I think Lixsta attacking Radiantmist like that is powerplaying.]] Radiantmist looked around wildly. "Fox attack!" She yowled to the clan, and proceeded to leap up and cling onto the fox that had struck Rainpaw. No time for remorse now, Radiantmist learned that the hard way. The fox kicked and bucked, but could not reach Radiantmist, as she clung furiously on, continuosly biting until she tasted blood. --- Heartrain twitched her ears, semi-amused with the thought of battle. "You're the one that killed DawnClan's leader, right?" She asked, aiming her question to the bigger one of the three foxes. The fox looked at her amused ex pression, slightly confused. Heartrain twitched a whisker, then flung herself into the battle, bringing an unsheathed paw onto the lead fox's head. He made an angry barking sound, clawing the air aimlessly. A claw nicked Heartrain's shoulder, making a deep gash. "Mangy crowfood eater." Heartrain hissed furiously, the pain fueling her with hatred. With one paw still on the fox's head, Heartrain used her other paw to swat at the fox's exposed back, giving room for the fox to bite her belly. Heartrain felt a sharpe twinge on her underside. "Shouldn't have done that." She thought, regretting her decision when she saw her blood trickle onto the ground. --- Coalpaw paused only to drag Rainpaw to safety, where the foxes would be too busy fighting to reach her. "You'll be alright, Rainpaw." He whispered helplessly, thinking that Rainpaw couldn't hear him. "What are you waiting for?" He hissed at Willowpaw. "Attack the foxes!" He leapt onto the fox that Radiantmist was clinging on. Coalpaw didn't aim for the back, but dove under, where the fox's delicate belly was exposed. "Jump off, Radiantmist!" Coalpaw yowled, and he saw her tortoise-shell pelt dart away. "Owlflight! Help me flip this fox over!" Before the strong fox could do anything, Owlflight had dove under also, leaving the male fox snapping the air, confused. The two cats used their heads and backs, propelling the fox upwards and onto the ground. Coalpaw furiously gashed at the fox's belly, making it bleed profusedly. "Revenge is sweet, isn't it, fox?" He hissed nastily, Coalpaw's eyes gleaming. He bent over to deliver a killing blow, but Owlflight shoved Coalpaw off. "Coalpaw! What are you doing?" He asked in a concerned voice. --- Ray knew he had lost. His father and sister were too busy battling the angry Clan cats to help him with the other two. He gave out a sharp bark of pain when he felt the gray cat rake his belly with thorn-sharp claws. Ray couldn't say anything, his throat had been injured by the leader's clawing. "Lix...sta." He croaked, staring helplessly at his bleeding belly. "Ray!" Lixsta cried, abandoning her fight with the leader and running to her brother's side. She turned onto the warriors, snarling. The leader with bright aqua eyes eyes stared back at her with equal anger. "We fight, but we don't kill, unlike you mangy fleabags." The cat spat. "I said, leave." She was backed up by other Clan cats, hissing angrily. Lixsta flinched, and glanced at her injured brother, and then at Singe, who was bleeding from the flank and the head. Singe looked at his daughter and nodded. "We flee." He said, and took Ray's scruff, while Lixsta supported her brother. The two foxes darted off, helping their injured kin. --- Radiantmist spat. "And don't come back!" She yowled at the retreating figures. Radiantmist dropped to one side, finally noticing her bleeding shoulder. "Can't be injured now." She muttered angrily. "Need to travel to Star Cave." --- Coalpaw shook himself, seeing Owlflight still stare at his friend in a worried way. "Coalpaw, what happened back there?" Owlflight asked. "You had a glint in your eyes." Coalpaw looked up at Owlflight miserably. "I guess that's how a warrior powered by hatred feels." He replied, remembering the blood that sang in his ears.

Wolfstorm gave a nod of greeting to Icepelt when the medicine cat came. He was going to say some sort of greeting to her but then the foxes came and his neck fur rose. Unsheathing his claws, he lunged at the fox that had attacked Rainpaw and tried to cling on its back while scratching with his hind legs. But with the fox moving around it was nearly impossible for him to do it, so he jumped off and flinched as the fox's claw met his side. Before he knew it the foxes had decided to leave camp, and that made Wolfstorm let out a warning hiss, as if telling them not to come back. After a few heartbeats his fur started to lie flat and his thoughts weren't about the foxes anymore but of his clanmates. He hoped none of them where seriously injured. ~~~ "Great!" Ashpaw replied, trying to sound as enthusiastic as he could. He was not a fan of fighting, but any battle-training he could have before he was a warrior would be great. His fur stood up in surprise at when three foxes suddenly came into their camp, and one of them went for Radiantmist. Ashpaw's fur rose and he unsheathed his claws. Another fox attack? He thought in dismay, for the last one was so recent. Trying to get his mind set on trying to fight off one of the foxes with his clanmates, he dashed over to the one attacking Radiantmist and lashed out at its face with his claw. He jumped back and was nearly bitten by the fox, and he couldn't help but show relief when they started to flee. ~~~ Badgerclaw bared his fangs and lunged at the closest fox to him. He came up short and only half of him landed on the fox; his hind legs were dangling right above the ground. He let himself fall then lashed out at the fox's belly, quickly jumping out of the way afterwards and scratched the fox's hind leg. It didn't seem very long before the foxes began fleeing and Badgerclaw had calmed down. "Why did they have to come back?" He growled to no one in particular. ~~~ Stripefur stopped by Frostpaw and meowed a pleasant "good morning." before turning her attention to her apprentice. "I was thinking maybe we could go hunting, and then have some battle training." She swished her tail and glanced behind her, seeing that Radiantmist was up and with some other cats. Maybe their potential leader was going to go to Star Cave to receive her leader name and nine lives, but Stripe fur wasn't sure. Although she had a good feeling that was what they were talking back. When the foxes came into camp Stripefur suddenly remembered her dream and hoped she was still dreaming. But there was a voice in her head that told her that this was no dream. Shaking the thought from her head she dashed over to one of the foxes and jumped onto its back. She sank her claws in its fur and was pretty surprised when she was suddenly shaken off. She gasped when the fox raked its claw along her side and then let out a sigh of relief when they started fleeing.

Radiantmist staggered, pulling herself up. "No time to weak now." She hissed at herself, looking around the camp. "Wolfstorm... Heartrain and Rainpaw are seriously injured." She said, ignoring the stinging pains and the ache in the head from the fox's continuous bucking when she clung onto his pelt. "Rainpaw is in a terrible condition, I think she fainted. And Stripefur too..." Radiantmist noticed blood surrounding many warriors. Unable to withstand the pressure anymore, her shoulders gave way, and the she-cat sank to the ground, semi-conscious. --- Coalpaw nodded with Radiantmist. "Heartrain and Rainpaw are the ones that need immediate care." He said, and made a surprised squeak when Radiantmist sank. He cautiously padded over to their leader, her eyes still half-open. "Icepelt, where are you?" Coalpaw called, flicking his tail. Somehow, Coalpaw felt relieved. He had returned to his normal, logical self, though Owlflight still eyed him with a hint of mistrust.

Icepelt had to time to respond to Bramblesplash's question when the foxes attacked. And she had witnessed the fox attack Rainpelt but had been preoccupied with a fox kit of her own to drop instantly and go to Rainpelt's side. But she had gotten away as soon as she could and was currently by Rainpelt's side. Radiantmist needed to be at the Star Cafe and she had just collapsed. "I'm over here. Coalpaw!" She mewed loudly, her meow was very soft and she had to work a little to make it louder. She applied pressure to Rainpelt's stomach with both paws, the blood staining her pretty hite fur. "Rainpaw, if you can hear me I need you to make some sort of effort." Icepelt mewed to her. "I need cobwebs! Hurry." She said to no one in particular hen she got no immediate reply from Rainpaw.

[ XD Whoops. I has to cure my bad habit of accidentally powerplaying. Sorry~]] "I'm perfectly alright," Rainpaw croaked weakly after a while , and tried to stand up without being shaky. She wasn't weak! She just had to hold on for a bit longer to call Radiantmist by her new name! What , were they going to send her back now? When it was the most important moment of her leader's life? Willowpaw protested, shaking her head. "You rest, Rainpaw. I know that you want to help out, but you have to take care of yourself first." She spat a few words at the foxes. "Mousedung! I am sure to get you back, filthy foxes! You shall pay for what you have done to my sister!"

[[Star Cafe XD ]] Owlflight trudged over to Ashpaw. "That was some good fighting there, Ashpaw." He praised, gently cuffing his apprentice by the ear. 'A real warrior fights to prove his strength, not to kill.' Those were the words of his mentor, and the words that Radiantmist repeated. Owlflight nervously twitched his ears when he remembered the glint in Coalpaw's eyes when he snarled at the fox. "We should put off the battle-training today, Ashpaw." Owlflight mewed. "Let's just go hunting, alright?" He flicked his tail in an attempt to be cheerful. --- Coalpaw was a little dazed, the urge to fight was ebbing away, though it left stains in his mind. He shook himself when he thought he heard a soft voice calling his name. "Hey, Rainpaw's alright!" Coalpaw mewed, happy to see his denmate awake. He trotted up to Rainpaw. "You're alright, Rainpaw!" He said, touching his nose on her shoulder in a friendly gesture. "We were all worried." Coalpaw looked up to search for Icepelt. When he found her, Coalpaw padded up to Icepelt. "I'll help, Icepelt!" He volunteered. Coalpaw wanted to make up for his actions during the battle.

DUSKCLAN Brambleslash staggered away from the body of a dead fox, a large gash gaping on his flank. 'Fox dung,' he cursed inwardly as he collapsed onto his belly, hind legs useless from multiple cuts and bites. Ribbons of blood stained his brown fur a dark crimson, dripping slowly onto the light sandy earth. Turning his head to lick his scratches he saw his sister dragging a snarling Frostpaw away from a wounded fox. She’s a feisty one. He thought anxiously, realizing that he would have to watch out for the apprentice. ~ Crimsonsky shook Frostpaw viciously as the she-cat snarled and clawed at the air in front of her, straining to get to the half-dead fox. ‘Stop,’ she muttered through a thick roll of fur and skin, nipping down hard to give the she-cat a warning. As Frostpaw silenced herself and slowed her squirming Crimsonsky dropped her on the earth. ‘What were you thinking?’ she snarled angrily, prodding the offending cat harshly. ‘The fox was half-dead. There is no need to kill it!’ ~ Frostpaw gave the warrior a mutinous look and padded away stiffly, pausing only to lick a small scratch on her shoulder. Her tail stung with pain but she ignored it bravely, instead heading over to Coalpaw and Rainpaw. ‘Hi,’ she mewed softly as she neared the other apprentices. ‘Great battle Coalpaw, Rainpaw!’ She gave the two an elated look. ‘I nearly got one on my own!’ she crowed with delight.

[[Det, no fox attacked DawnClan ^^' Only DuskClan.]] Coalpaw's eyes flashed with worry when he saw Frostpaw. "Got one... as in, almost killed it?" He asked in a small voice. If Frostpaw also felt the need to kill, perhaps Coalpaw wasn't the only one in the Clan. But it was still not honorable, like what Radiantmist said.

"Thank you Coalpaw." Icepely purred her thanks. "And don't worry about what happened a moment ago." She told him, "The heat of battle can stir up the worse emotions in any cat." She said, pressing on Rainpaw to keep her from getting up. "Your friend had been injured and you were hurt, adding to that pressure." She said, trying to let the young Tom know that he didn't do anything wrong. "But letting your emotions take control of you isn't always the answer. Remember the Warrior code and those who have gone before you and make sure that doesn't happen again." She said gently, resting her tail on his shoulder. She glanced around then, taking in every cat that was down or injured. "Can you apply pressure here Coalpaw?" She asked, motioning to where her paws were on Rainpaw. "Rainpaw, you should be fine as long as i can get some cobwebs on your wounds and you don't move around too vigorously." She told her. She needed to tend to the others as well.

Frostpaw ducked her head shyly. 'I got carried away,' she admitted worridly, shuffling her paws. 'I mean, I wanted to prove I could be a good warrior so I guess I just wanted to finish the fox off. Crimsonsky stopped me just in time.' The white she-cat could feel a flush of heat spread through her body and she gave Coalpaw an embaras.sed look. 'I probably should have controlled myself better.' ~ Crimsonsky gave a small shake of her head. 'Icepelt is right. Battle never brings in the best of any cat, no matter how many noble deeds you commit during it. The foxes attacked viciously, but we fought back with the same ferocity. Don't worry yourself about it.' ----------- [I'll fix it when I get the chance. -mumbles something about not having any idea of what's going on- I'm in Geo cl.*censored*. ;c]

Ashpaw turned his head to look at his mentor, and he smiled ever so slightly. It felt good to be praised by his mentor after an attack like this. When Owlflight said they were going to go hunting instead, Ashpaw nodded gratefully. He didn't feel like doing some battle-training after what had happend. "Okay, that would fine." He replied then sighed. ~~~ Dingopaw tail drooped sadly at Dustfeather's answer. At least tell me to clean some dens or something, he thought with a twitch of his whiskers and his eyes widened slightly in surprise. He actually thought that? He hated cleaning the dens of other cats. His ears flicked up happily and he eagerly followed Dustfeather to the entrance of camp. He tried thinking of what prey he could try catching, hoping that it would take the thought about the foxes out of his head. He was padding right behind his mentor, glancing at his paws a few times to make sure he wasn't going to trip or bump into Dustfeather anytime soon.

Dustfeather shot an amused look at the apprentice following her before plunging into the ferns that bordered the camp wall, her fluffy tail flicking her apprentice's nose as she signalled for him to follow her. 'Quiet,' she mewed softly, her footsteps making not a single noise as she padded through the forest, gently trailing willow branches brushing her flanks and making a soft rustling noise. Bright blue eyes watching every movement her eyes flicked to the left as a sudden jerk in the once still forest caught her eye. 'Prey or foe?' she whispered to herself softly, backing up closer to her apprentice.

((Uh, yeah. Did you make another post about Dustfeather after the one I replied to?)) Dingopaw's nose twitched when it made contact with his mentor's tail, and he gave a nod to her in reply to what she whispered. He kept his tail at least a mouse tail over the ground to make sure he wouldn't brush over any leaves or twigs that would make noise. He blinked when a leaf that was not even bigger than his paw brushed over his right eye and stopped with his ears flicked up at the sound of a sudden jerk. He glanced at his mentor and found his neck and shoulder fur beginning to rise. He hoped whatever was out there was just a mouse or rabbit and nothing else like a rogue cat. Or fox. He wanted to get rid of the thoughts about the foxes and now it was in his mind again.
