Kaina Tarrin stared at the beginning of the forest. She was waiting for someone's face to peek out of the mas.s of trees. Kaina tapped her left foot impatiently. What is taking her so long? Then, a orange and white face striped with black peered out at her with gray eyes.
"What were you doing?" Kaina demanded angrily. "You were supposed to be here, like five minutes ago."
"I was hunting," the creature answered. "Unlike you, I have to be able to have strength to walk." Kaina clenched her hands in fists and gritted her teeth at the creature. "Well come on," it said. "Let's go."
Kaina stepped into the forest, slowly. The creature went to her side. Now, that you could see it clearly the creature was a large tiger, a female to be exact. The stripes that covered her body were as black as the dark night sky. She was mostly orange with white on her paws, chest, belly, face, and ears.
"Never, ever leave me waiting there again, Syla," Kaina spoke, in almost a hiss. She looked like she was about to strangle the beautiful tiger.
Syla, the tiger, flinched. "You really need to control your temper," she commented softly.
Kaina sighed suddenly, all anger seeming to be a distant memory. "I'm sorry, Syla. I shouldn't have burst out at you."
