Erin's eyes widened and she stepped in between Alpha and Jacoby, holding her hands close to herself as if in defence.
"We don't have proof." She said sharply, mistmatched eyes flashing and meeting Alpha's glance. It was a rude thing to do to a wolf unless you were of higher- or equal- status. Which Erin was. They were both Alphas.
"I, for one, think you're overreacting a bit." Her voice had dropped to a quieter, calmer note. "What reason do you have to suspect Jacoby?"

Erin glared at Karienne, a growl rising in her throat. She shoved it back down before it could escape. She had to control her temper; at least, better than Alpha.
"Jacoby did not just 'show up'. He was in the same territory as us for a while. We can't help it. Who's to say that he planned this? Is he at fault for living in the same area?" She sighed and ran a hand through her hair.
"I can understand your concern." She finally said. "But I really don't think he has anything to do with this." She turned to Jacoby. "I'd like to ask you another favour." She opened her mouth to say 'stay away from us', but thought better of it.
"For the sake of our pack, please stay where we can keep an eye on you. If we made you run off, you might tell the hunters." It's not like I believe that, anyway. Erin thought.
