Fernleaf sighed and continued on."I know.Ive been working my hide off trying to feed the clan.Every day I have to search farther from camp.Tat being how the wolves were found.I ventured to far apparently."She padded over to a small and shallow creek.The few minnows darted away from her as she bent down to get a drink.She smelled more recent scents of prey here.Mabye if she just hung out here for a while some sort of prey would come here for a drink and she could catch it.

The kit was starting to move around, but she still did not make a sound. Littleleaf wailed as she had her secound kit. But there was somthing wrong with it, its left front leg was missing! |

"Its missing it's leg!" Littleleaf wailed and licked it. "It a boy.." Then she started wailing loudly as she had her other kit. It did not seem like anything was wrong with it, but it did not respond to any sound... |

Starwalker watched sadly.She then asked Littleleaf something."Have you been having any dreams or hearing something lately?I havent seen this before but have felt something ominous lurking around the camp.It cant be seeen,heard,or smelled but I have heard it once and thought I was hearing things.Basicly.....I beleive your kits have been cursed somehow."She really knew this news was connfi=using and diffucult to eplain but it seemed the correct diagnosis of the situation.

Fernleaf sat there staring hopefully at the area surrounding the stream.Suddenly a small water vole poked its head out of a hiding spot and looked around for any sign of danger.It didnt see the two cats staring intently at it and walked u to the stream.Fernleaf bolted to it and killed it before it even made it to the water.

Starwalker sighed."I dont know....I think I had better go consult Starclan tonight.I have to go.Make sure nothing is wrong with that last kit."She then headed out of the camp to go find a quiet place to speak with Starclan.

Sagepelt watched the kits in worry, not knwoing what was going on. She nuzzled her kits closer to her. Shade watched the starts twinkling in the night sky. Should I go back to the clan? A sudden homesickness away from his sister and Littleleaf almost swaept him off his feet. He decided then and there, that tommorow he would head back to Loveclan. |

Shade nodded at Lake, "Then come on Lakekit." He got up andpaded back to the barn and peeked in. Amber rushed up to greet him. "Whats going on?!" She squeaked. Shade smiled at her. "We're going back to Loveclan, and your mother." Amber yowled in delight. Shade padded back to the back where Soar was laying, looing hurt. "Soar, I woud like to take you back to Loveclan with me. You will be an elder there." He smiled at her, she was like his second mother. Soar thought for a moment. "If that means not having to sleep alone, or on the cold ground anymore, than count me in." She purred. Getting up with a grunt she followed Shade out. The warrior looked behinf him to make sure the other three cats were with him, they were. He headed back to the forest and towards his home.

Fernleaf buried the vole with the mouse.She returned to the stream and continued to wait.Nothing happened for a while.She sighed and stepped p to the creek for a drink.She gulped down some of the water coughing most of it back up when its horrid taste hit her like a mallet."What is WRONG with this water?!"She meowed loudly almost at yowling tone.She swiftly started to lick her fur to remove the taste.Something was wrong with this water.Something that made it taste absolutely horrible!How could such clear water taste so horid?!
