Lovestar nodded, she had been planning to go with Nightshade but guarding the camp was also a good idea.

Starsong sighed. "She-cats," He murmured under his breath, and then stalked off into the Warriors' Den. "Jacklefur, MoonFall, let's go on a border patrol. I'm leading it," He mewed.

Sunset twitched her tail. "And who thinks im going to believe you? Just some random rogue picked up from the forest." She rolled her eyes, and hid deeper into the nursery.

Twilightkit and Bonekit rolled in a play-fight, until both stumbled into Stripe.

"Kits! What did i tell you?" Sunset hissed.

"Sor-ree," Twilightkit sighed.

Sunset narrowed her eyes, but then calmed herself down with a few licks on her paws, and soon fell into sleep until---

"Badgers!" A cat, who anyone in SunClan knew, shouted.

A glossy orange pelt flowed, and a kit wriggled below her clenched jaws.

Oranges gulped. "Four of them! I saw them! They were attacking me and my kit out of the territory of yours! They are following me! Please help!" She screeched.

"You brought them here?!" Starsong snarled.

"N-Not on prepous! R-Really!" She begged.

Oranges' eyes were huge in fear. "Agh! Oranges, get your butt to the Queens' then right now! And stay there, you made enough trouble for now," Starsong demanded, and so did Oranges go join Sunset in the nursery with her kit Icicle. Twilightkit, Bonekit, and Cinnamonkit ran off to join them too. They all snuggled at the back of the den.

"Darkenedstar! I don't think it's a good idea if you fight with them!" Sunset screamed, if Darkenedstar lost a life, the kits wouldn't servive.

Starsong shut his eyes tightly. Sunset shouldn't have said that, because, in the middle of a fight, a whole conversation wasn't really appreciated.

The first badger broke out of the brambles into the camp.

Surely enough it was the mother, the father, and two teenage cubs.

Darkenedstar let out a loud roar that likely scared it's cubs.  If she could just scare them away...mabye a fight could be avoided.  Badgers weren't known for taking on animals larger than they were after all.  She fluffed her fur out.  Even if she shouldn't be fighting, wasn't it a little bit late to mention that to her?

Lunarsight dashed forward.  Her powers weren't for fighting, but she could still claw and bite.  She clawed at the badger's back and clung on for her life, hoping her tail wasn't crushed by the creatures jaws.

Jacklefur leaped forward as well.  He wasn't fully in crontorl of his powers over wind, but he could likely unbalance those heavy creatures a bit.

The Badgers snarled back at Darkenedstar. The cubs had hinted fear in their eyes, but seconds later they shot a glance that showed they were ready to attack. They were almost adults, after all.

Starsong launched himself at the father, tearing it's pelt off. He might not be stronger, but speed was his power, and nothing could stop him.

Darkenedstar swung out with a huge paw, claws out for slicing up badgers.  She slammed it into the side of a badger cub.  The force used easily threw tossed it away from Darkenedstar.  She could fight these badgers no problem in her mind.

Lunarsight yowled in pain as the Badger got her tail.  She fell off at this momennt, making herself, quite unfortunatly, easy to kill.  The badger didn't have time to hurt her though, a bright green cat had caught it's attention now.

Nutstrike barreled into the badger's side.  She leaped back as the badger swung around tobite her.  She then leaped about a bit, avoiding every move mad eby the badger, attacking when she saw anopen area.  She had plenty of energy and felt like she could keep doing this all day.  She doubted the badger felt the same.

Stripe let out a yowl and helped with the fallen cub.  He used his single front claws to attack the badger mercilessly...until it got back up.  He then darted away, tail between his legs, with a badger pursuing him.

Starsong hissed angrily as he darted around the attacking badgers, hitting them with a unseathed paw or bitting them with a deadly bight on the neck. His energy was at the tip of his paws, ready to keep his speed going on all attackers. His first was the father badger, and with all of Starsong's speed and strengh he could deafet this thing in no time.

Fallenrain jumped on a cub's back, and he soon felt regret at that when he thought the badger could easily roll onto his back. But instead, it growled in pain and ran around the camp in circles. Smoke touched Fallenrain's nose, and his attencion sparked as he looked down at his paws. Orange flames licked around on Fallenrain's paws, burning the badger's fur. This badger used to be light brown, but now the burning scent was strong as it turned the badger to black. Soon enough it dropped to the ground, dead. Fallenrain stared wide-eyed at the attacker. What was all this about?

Oranges sighed as she looked back at Sunset deep inside the Nursery Den.

"Is this how it feels? To be safe, to know that here every single cat is going to protect you no matter what?" Oranges mewed, "My mate was killed by a fox long ago before Icicle was born. I've felt a bit lonely since then..."

Sunset looked at her sadness-deep eyes. "Yes, but i would have been there fighting if it weren't for these little ones"- She looked down at her three kits -"The clan protects each other. And i'm sorry about your mate..."

"Oh, don't be. I just wish i could have a place in this clan. But no one would accept me, not even the handsome grey and white tomcat." Oranges mewed.

Sunset laughed. "You mean MoonFall? Hmm... True, it would be hard to be accepted. But time will p*censored*, and well, you know. But anyway, i don't decide if you can stay or not. It's not my decision."

Silence swept by for a long moment, it started feeling akward.

"But i understand how you feel. My mate left me for another cat, one that he just met a few days ago. Not even a SunClan she-cat. He left me forever." Sunset mewed, wanting to close off the silence.

Oranges sighed, "Im sorry." And she nuzzled her kit closer to her, sleep heavy on her eyes.

MoonFall stared next to Fallenrain, his eyes wide with amusement.

Darkenedstar bit down on the spine of the baby badger chasing Stripe, killing it with ease thanks to her giant fangs.    She dropped the body and turn to the one remaining alive.  It would soon be taken care of thanks to the many other clan cats.  Darkenedstar was exausted now and she was thankful that the fight was over.

Nutstrike leaped forward, biting at the Badger again.  When she leaped back, she couldn't move again.  She was frozen to spot staring at what was happening to the badger.  The wound glowed for a second or two, before it seemed to spread through the rest of the badger's body.  The badger ran towards Nutstrike, in obvious pain, and dsropped dead before the glowing cat's feet.  Nutstrike stared down at it, still suprised that that one bite, out of all the others, had killed the badger in the way.  None of the other bite wounds had glowed....odd....

Lunarsight saw the badgers were dead now.  She sighed with releif and padded over to Darkenedstar, wishing to talk to her in private.  It had to do with something that battle made her realize.

Stripe made an overly loud sigh of releif and said " Well that was a close one!  I thought that badger was going to get my pelt! "  He was actually smiling, even though he had nearly gotten mauled by a badger.

It seemed like all badgers were dead now. Fallenrain sighed and padded off next Nutstrike. "There's something really odd about this fight," He murmured to her ear.

MoonFall nodded pleased at what this apprentice had made, and he padded out to the clearing where the cats were talking.

Starsong padded to Darkenedstar's other side, since at her side was Lunarsight. "Darkenedstar, the meeting with the clans is tomorrow. Do you think we could wait until then for a medicine cat to treat all of these cats?"

Darkenedstar thought for a moment and said " I think we can pull through if the injured cats keep their wounds cleans and put some cobwebs on them if they are bleeding to much.  Do you remember if merigold is the plant for infection preventing?  I think that's the one but I'm not completely sure. " Darkenedstar then turned to Lunarsight and said " Yes Lunarsight? " She had returned to her normal cat form so that whn she talk she didn;'t have to look down at other cats.

Lunarsight shifted her feet nervously, suddenly thinking mabye she shouldn't say it, but her aching joints thought otherwise. " Darkenedstar, I think I'm getting to old for all of this.  The fighting and hunting and all of that stuff gets harder every day.  My joint have even started aching and I get all stiff after I sleep.  Darkenedstar, I want to retire.  I want to become and elder. "

Darkenedstar nodded in understanding.  She wasn't going to force Lunarsight to continue being a warrior if it caused her pain. " Very well.  I would like it if you clean your tail wound some.  We don't have a new medicine cat yet and we don't need anyone getting an infection. "

Nutsstrike nodded in agreement.  " Did you see what I did to that badger?  I don't even know exactly how  I did it! "  She was still staring at the dead badger.  The glow had left.  It looked normal now.

Fallenrain froze at her sudden excitment. "That's so odd... I did see some part of it." He said, his eyes blank. But then he felt excitment rose through his mind. "And it was awsome! How'd you make it glow like that? I wish i could have done that, but when i was on that Badger's back my paws were on fire! Flames past through my paws to the badger, and i killed it! This must be some thing from having powers!"
