Onii locked her eyes onto a loner standing not far from where her packmates were bringing down a caribou. She growled low in her throat and crept up to himm ,"what are you doing here?" she asked, snarling fiercley. Her ears wer pinned against her skull and her teeth were bared. The fur along Onii's spine stood on end and her blue eyes blazed.

When the prey was brought down he stepped away for Maka. As he back away he heard a growl not far off. "Onii?"he mumbled in curiosity.

Jumping to his paws with a slight snarl, Alcarié whirled around to face Onii with fierce eyes. Instantly he recognized her as a pack wolf because of her sleek pelt and the scent of many wolves. He let his snarl fall and backed away hastily, hating his weakness. "I live here, in a small bramble den." He muttered, keeping his eyes on the ground. How he wished he was as strong as he could be, and stand up proudly. But that at the moment would only get him killed. "I was not going to attack either of them or their kill, I have more dignity then that, thanks." He growled sarcastically. "Now, if your going to kill me then please do it quickly, have a but more decency then the other please." He mused, smiling slightly and licking one of the many scars around his muzzle.

Alcarié stared at Maka as if she lost her mind, ears pinned against his head. "Err, thanks." He muttered, taking another step back. "But I don't want to intrude on your kill, so I'll..err go." He told Maka, then remembered to dip his head in respect. "Thanks again, your the first wolf do something like that." He half smiled and turned tail to flee, grateful to have his fur still intact. Maka turned back to him and bit his tail to hold him in tact. "no please stay...i insist, I want you to eat.", Maka said in happy pursuit. She dragged a piece of the carcus over to him and she smiled, wagging her tail in joy. "You may have the honor of taking the first bite." she looked at him and saw that he was surprisingly taller than she. She blushed in frustration but then smiled. |

"Your sure?" He asked questionably, wondering suddenly if this was some sort of trap. He quickly diminished the thought, seeing as she seemed honorable to her word. He took a quick bite and jerked back up, chewing while looking around for some sort of attack. The taste of the meat was refreshing and he smiled gratefully towards Maka. "Thanks once more, at this rate i'm going to owe you for the next couple of seasons." He mused, then took a step back and motioned for her to take his place. "Your the alpha of the pack right?" He asked curiously, tipping his head to the side.

((sweet nono!!)) Maka giggled her sweet melodic laugh and smiled, swishing her tail to the side. "There's no trap ^^", she said to him. "It's no trouble to help out a wolf in need." She followed over to him and sat beside him. "I am aplhess yes...is there anything you need ?", she curiously questioned. |

Alcarié tipped his head to the side and chuckled, "A loner can never be to careful." He then scoffed teasingly, a knowing glint in his yellow eyes. "Who ever said I was in trouble? Besides prickly over there..." He motioned towards Onii with his head. "everything is as alright as it's gonna be." Something about her speaking to him like any other pack wolf brought back memories of a diffrent life time. "Nah. The only thing I need is my pack back, and it's not gonna happen. But thanks anyway alphaess." He smiled genuinely and got to his large paws.

Maka smiled and got to her paws too. She slyly licked Alcarie on his muzzle and smiled genuinely. She then frowned, knowing that she could do nothing to help him, but simply turned to her back and ran back hom with the others...but she knew she would see him again.

Alcarié stared after her a second, a bit shocked at what just happened. Shaking his head, he started off into the forest towards his den. He told himself that he just had one of his crazed spells and none of it really happened, then why did it feel so real? Curling in his nest, the loner tucked his nose under his tail and tried to sleep.

Maka turned in her den, unable to sleep. She arose and smelt her way around the forest, sniffing back to where she and Alcarie sat. She followed his scent and found his den. She slowly tipped in and sniffed around, pawing at the den, then comfortably lied down beside him, and happily fell asleep, with her head down on his paw.

The dream was amazing in Alcarié's eyes, green fields, his old pack running around with happy eyes. A new scent though made him shift around and was surprised to see the alphaess there as well. But why was her scent so much stronger? Blearily he opened his eyes and nearly yelped with surprise to find her laying there asleep. He looked around the den in confusion, in a way wondering if this was a dream as well. No, he still ached to much for this to be a dream. Finally he lay his head back down beside hers, trying not to wake the she-wolf up, a smile curling his lip.
