Erin waited quietly on the fringe of the group gathering. She knew none of these people, nor had she ever seen them before. If Nightmare forgot to hand over the dagger, she could just ask her when they got to wherever the were going.

The building was old, trashed, and not in great shape. But Erin could see why it would attract people. It was obviously a strong building to last so long; after observing the walls, she guessed it would have been dated back to times when the earth wasn't so trashed or polluted. She edged back from the building and intentionally edged near to Dusk.

"Hey Dusk, I was wondering about your phoenix..." she looked up expectantly as the group kept moving.

Just before he entered the tall structure ahead of him, Dusk tilted his head nervously toward Erin.  She had asked about his phoenix, who was probably gliding about happily through the sky right now.

"You mean Spike?  What did you want to know?"  Dusk was glad that someone was interested to hear about his phoenix friend. 

He thought back to the day he had recieved Spike as a gift from the secret squad who had adopted him as a child.  They were named 'The Nebula' and were focused on traveling through space to find a planet that could support life better than Earth.  These were the same group that sent Dusk on a perilous journey through harsh lands to transport a young girl with Crystals of Youth in her bloodstream.  Spike was given to him for protection on his travel.

What if somebody kind of heard Zynonia's and Drakine's battle-thing?

((Yeah.  I'll go ahead and make the post now.  Oh, and she doesn't live in a cave.  She lives  in a broken down Dollar Tree. :3))

Zynonia was shivering from cold in her home, still clutching her hand, her natural response to pain had finally made her stop feeling her hand but she was afraid to leave the stop she was in to get something to tie around her hand to hold it in place.  She was still just sitting there, when she heard a loud crack almost onotp of her combined with a flach of light.  She felt a tingling in herself to.  Lighting had struck her home.  That was a very very bad thing.  She heard a creaking and crumbling noise as the building tried to stay in place, but the lightning and pouring rain had become to much for it, and the roof caved in, or at least what was left of it.  Zynoni managed to dart out of the way just before a section of roof collapsed where she had been.  Despite her other forms, sensitivity to the lightning, she shifted immediatly and limped into the city to try and find a new shelter.  The old one would be of no use to her anymore.

Zynonia went rather swiftly through the rain and soon found herself outside of a building.  he didn't really liike the building, but it appeared structuarrly sound and she could smell food in it.  She shifted into her human form so that she could get closer withoutscaring any inhabitants.  She didn't want to freak out another one of those fire monsters again.  The last one she met gave her a broken hand.

BiC: Squall felt a peculiar pricking sensation on the back of his neck. It was the feeling of being watched. Of course, it could possibly be him imagining things; he had felt this feeling before and nobody had been there. But this time, he felt the need to look around his shoulder and peer at his surroundings. He then spotted a person sneaking around. The person, a guy, obviously had been wandering around, probably switching occasionally from place to place.

"Oi" he called out in a friendly sort of gesture. Nightmare, he knew, wouldn't approve about him being friendly with someone who wasn't part of Thief, but it was just the way he did things. And if it turned out that he didn't like the guy, he could always just steal something from him. 

Erin grinned. Dusk was warm and inviting. She was glad for at least one person that she could trust, for now.

"Well, I was thinking about how rare phoenix's are. I mean, don't you think Spike would be some of the last of his kind? I did some calculations in my head. Most Phoenix's died out a long time ago when pollution started hurting the earth. How did you come across him? And when he turns up again, can I meet him?" Erin pleaded silently with her eyes. This was someone who she finally find something to related to. She suddenly became a lot less tense. A five year old mixed in with a group of powerful teens... it scared Erin a little.

Oh, it feels so good to be in a slower paced Rp.  I can't even Rp in my own thread because I was gone for about a day and missed almost 7 pages of Rp D;))

"Spike was a gift from an old uh...  Friend."  Dusk paused akwardly, knowing that Spike definetly didn't come from a friend.  "I guess he very well could be one of the last phoenix's left on Earth.  Oh, and I'm sure that when he comes back he'd be happy to meet you."  Dusk flashed a wide grin.  He found Erin kind and sweet, and it was nice to see a young child for once.  After all, they were more vulnerable to the pollution and natural disasters.  The last young kid he'd seen was probably the girl he'd lost, the one with gems in her blood.  When Dusk thought about it, it was selfish of The Nebula to bring such a young child into danger just for some rare gems.  It was also selfish of himself to help them...
