Silviana picked up her skirts as her cabin boy helped her into the lavish carriage, being drawn by four of the most expensive horses in town.  She lifted her skirts above her ankles in order to climb into the carriage, her lively brown hair falling past her shoulders.  She was wearing a lovely indigo gown with pearls hanging gently around her neck.  She sat in the velvet seat and motioned for the driver to urch the carriage foward.  Her dark green eyes were like venom as she glared down at the newspaper.  She had to speak to her good friend, one of the socialites around town...Penelope Hayes.  The carriage came to an abrupt halt outside the Hayes' mannor.  The driver opened her door and helped her down as Silviana clutched this weeks newspaper in her hands.  She knocked on the Hayes' front door 4 times to tell them it was her.  The door was opened by the doorman, Silviana smiled but stalked in.  She raced swiftly around the main hall, her heeled shoes clicking on the stone.  She found Penelope, "Have you seen the paper?!" she growled, slamming it on the table.

"Have you seen the paper?!" Penelope looked up as her good friend Silviana slammed that days paper on the table. She smiled at Silvie(is it ok if i shorten it?) her blue eyes sparkling. "No I havent yet. Why? Is it bad?" Penelope picked up the paper from the table and began to read. (I dont know what it says...) "Would you like something to drink? MORA! Would you be so kind as to bring a chair and something to drink for our guest?" She asked her servant, who bowed her head and left to do the job.

Silviana smiled in appreciation at her friend but took the paper from her hands, she looked at the front cover.  "We are all familiar with a Mr Harrison Maxewelle, Miss Silviana Leigh, and of course Miss Penelope Hayes...  but could their be a three way romance between the two friends and most unlikely suitor?  An annoymonous source says things are heating up between these three socialites as they continue to mature.  Could be a case of more lies, scandles and of course... romance...." she stopped, her eyes burning with fury.  She threw the paper back on the table.  "Who would publish these lies." she stated angrilly, her arms crossed.

Jackson was filling out the invetations for yet another huge party... The seasons Ball.  He had all the finest gentlemen and the prettiest ladies.  He gave the invetations to the delivery boy... smiling at his sister.

The delivery boy came to the Hayes home, seeing Miss Silviana Leigh's carrage parked out front.  He came to the front door and handed both Penelope and Silviana's letters to the doorman before disappearing out of sight.

Penelope's smile faded as her friend read the paper. "Oh my. We have quite a problem here now dont we. tsk tsk tsk think nothing of it. We will go to them and say it was a mistake and their source was just over run with jealousy. I mean how could they not, we are the prettiest and one of the richest. Oh good Mora thank you." She smiled at her servant out of habit, and quickly looked away.

Mora finished pouring the tea into the cups for Penelope and Silviana, and placed the cups on the silver tray. She reached into the cabnet for the sugar and the fridge for the milk, placing those on the tray as well. Mora gently picked up the tray and started walking to the foyer where Penelope and her scary friend Silviana sat waiting. Bowing before entering the room, Mora put the tray of tea on the table and dragged a chair over for the guest. When Penelope smiled at her, Mora's heart began to flutter. She had done a good job and was proud, but the feeling went away when Silvie gave her a cold stare.  As Mora was leaving, she felt a shiver go up and down her spine.

Silviana rolled her eyes.  "I bet it was that Elizabeth girl you hang around with." she stated, sitting gently in the chair, crossing her legs.  She heard the door crack open and she ignored it, lifting a cup of tea to her light red lips.  She looked at her friend, "Envy isnt pretty.  In fact its one of the seven deadly sins." she smiled slyly when she heard the Hayes' doorman enter the room.  ((heres the doorman))

"Miss Leigh and Miss Hayes.  These arrived for you." he said with respect, placing the letters on the table before bowing and leaving the room.

Silviana picked up the letter and read it silently.  "Jackson's seasons Ball.  About time I got this invitation." she smiled lightly.

Penelope opened the letter and read it. "Well this must be a mistake, you shouldnt have gotten one." She said laughing, plucking her friend's invitation out of her hands. She picked up the bulky red silk skirt slightly so she could walk briskly away from Silviana. She burst out running when Silvie began to follow, laughing slightly harder. She sort of missed the time before the parties, having to be proper all the time, but with Silviana fun was always to be had. Penelope glanced back seeing that Silvie was right behind her and the letter was snatched out of Penelope's hand. The two girls fell down laughing like they had when they were little.

Silviana stayed on the ground, laughing madly like a young child.  She smiled, "I always could run faster then you." she snickered playfully.  "I was afraid you forgot to have fun." she laughed, standing up and brushing of her skirts.  Her 600 dolar gown covered in floor dirt.  It made her snicker even more, just like young ones... destroying clothers without a care about them.  "I hope its not one of those date balls...." she rolled her eyes.

Jackson supervised his servents as they decorated the ballroom in preperation of one of the biggest parties of the season.  All the prettiest ladies accepted his request.  All the gentlemen were coming as well.  When the ballroom was complete, he ran to his bedroom as he was dressed.

Catelyn was wearing a lovely white gown as she walked down the stairs and into her fathers arms. 

Silviana was getting ready for the ball.  Her servents dressed her in a seductive deep crimson gown that complimented her slim figure.  The dress was fitted exactly for her, and there would be no others like it.  Her long brown hair was hanging down in beautiful and rich curls.  Her dark green eyes were surprisingly brought out by the gown's features.  A strand of lovely dark pearls hung from her neck.  She put on some light red lip stain and decended down the staircase, her father taking her hand as she made her way out to the carriage.  She kissed her father's cheek.  "You look beautiful." he whispered in her ear as he did every time there was a ball.  She smiled and climbed in, waving as the carriage left her mannor.

Harrison pulled on a handsome dress jacket and pants.  He was outraged by the paper from the previous week but chose to forget about it.  He climbed into the carriage and was on his way

After Silviana had left, she called Mora over to help her get changed. She began the walk up the stairs as she told her servant which dress to pick out. "Now Mora this is an important party so i need to look perfect. Run ahead and pull out that brand new black dress i bought ok?" Penelope watched as her servant ran ahead to pull out the dress, and she began to think of how she should wear her hair. When she got to her room she saw the dress laying on her bed. "Perfect. Absoulutely perfect."

Mora helped her misstress change from the dirty red gown and into the extravagant black ballgown, wishing she could have something that was at least half as pretty as that dress. When Penelope pulled the dress up, Mora began to tie the strings in the back tight as to give her misstress the look of a smaller waist. "Miss Penelope? How would you like your hair, and what neclace?" She listened carefully to her instructions then got to work brushing and putting the hair up.
