Mirri watched as Lukas' large paws agilely dodged the spines and the cactus water being lapped up. She thought, "I would need this training, in case of some horrible weather." She then jumped up onto a window and started meowing loudly.

A little girl looked at the kitten and patted it, then shut the window.

The white kitten's emerald eyes noted a storm - it was going to rain.

Moments later a thunder filled the air, thousands of raindrops hammering down on Mirri. 

Lune was cleaning herself, thought her long fur had almost never gotten tangled in trash or splashed with mud. But Lune liked doing that, since the activity gave her an opportunity to pa-ss time. She paused and twisted her head to look around. She was sitting on a trash can, quite high up to see what was going on. Dogs were looking at each other, each of them gazing intently on a cactus. Lune snorted in disgust. "Mangy mutts." She mumbled, never having any respect for dogs.

She heard the sound of an animal bumping into one of the tin trash cans. Lune immediately leapt up and raised her hackles, prepared to run or fight. Then a familiar grey head popped up. "Grise!" Lune sighed, sitting back down and relaxing her fur. The tom was always looking for trouble. "Hello, Lune!" Came the cheery reply. Lune sighed again, deeper this time, and settled down. "Leave me alone, Grise." Lune said softly, but the tom started to grapple with the lid of the trash can, knocking it and Lune over. Lune leapt off and hissed at Grise. "What did you do that for, fool?" The she-cat was clearly aggravated. Grise twitched his ears. "You need to get off your lazy bum and start exercising!" He said cheerily. Lune resisted the urge to claw his ears off. "Besides, did you see those dogs there? They could start attacking us!" Grise looked around for the dogs. Lune rolled her eyes. "Please, Grise. Those stupid animals were being fascinated by an equally stupid plant. There is no need to worry." She said lazily.

Grise sighed and nudged Lune onto her feet, as he crept out of the alley to where the dogs were. Lune's eyes widened as she hesitantly followed. "Grise!" Lune whispered urgently. "What are you doing?" Grise flicked his tail. "Watching them." He replied simply, while Lune moaned in exasperation, then hissed in displeasure when she felt rain hit her pelt.

Chaux was strolling down the road when her nose caught the familiar whiff of dog. She turned down towards an alleyway and watched the scene. A dog and a cat, which Chaux recognized as Lukas and Mirri, were drinking out of a cactus, while two cats and another dog watched them. Thinking this sight was strange, Chaux strided right up to Lukas and Mirri. "Hello, you two!" Chaux said cheerfully. "What in the world are you doing?" Chaux looked up when she heard the thunder, only to be showered by rain.

Cauchemar cautiously prowled the alleyways in the old town. It was a rather intimidating place, but he had grown used to it, as if the dangerous place had honed his stalking and fighting skills. His eyes widened when he picked up a scent of a dog. 'Let's hope its not a territorial one.' He thought, flattening his ears. He slinked around alleyways, finding the source of the scent, when he saw a dark shape hiding in the shadows[Skye]. 'Well, this one looks almost like me!' Mar thought, slightly impressed. He instinctively ducked down when he heard the thunderclaps above him, whimpering slightly. Rain was not a thing he liked.

Lukas glanced at Chaux silently, he knew here, but his amber eyes were still distrusting. He thought about not answering her, but said, "I'm drinking from a cactus. What does it look like?" in his deep, quiet voice. He felt the cold raindrops as they finaly soaked through his thick double coat and got to his skin. It felt good after being in the heat for so long. He closed his eyes and listened as the thunder rumbled. He loved storms. They were wild, unpredictable, and untamable.

Skye opened her eyes as she heard a noise that wasnt thunder. The rain had soaked through her fur and she looked much smaller than she actually was. She stood up and shook out her fur, looking around for the source of the noise and spotted a dog, much like herself. She looked at him curiously, "who are you?" she asked. She knew a few of the dogs here, but was still relatevely new to the area, and this one wasnt familiar.

Mirri's head quickly swiped back, and realized it was Chaux. She tumbled onto Chaux's paws - something that a cat shouldn't do to a dog- her eyes full of delight. "Chaux! How are you?" she mewed happily. Unknowingly she shoved a portion of stale chicken to Chaux. 

She then turned to Sena. "Uhm, it's okay." she murmured. She had thought that all dogs hurt cats, and was afraid of them, except Chaux.

Chaux rolled her eyes when she recognized his voice. It felt like the I-don't-like-you voice. "Oh sure, I'll tear your throat out while you lick a cactus." Chaux said sarcastically. She couldn't help but yelp slightly when Mirri almost fell on her. "I'm great, Mirri!" Chaux replied, waggin her tail. "Though the rain is dampening my mood a bit. And him." She flicked her ear in Lukas's direction. "And who are you?" Chaux leaned over to attempt to sniff the new dog [Sena] curiously.

Cauchemar sniffed when he realized that he was discovered. He stepped a bit closer to the dog that looked like him. "I am Cauchemar." He said, sitting down, a few tail-lengths away from the dog. There was still a risk of being attacked, but he found the possibility rather low, and decided to stay and see what this dog would do.

Lukas glanced at Chaux, sensing the saracsm in her tone. Its not that he was a fraid she was going to attack him, no, he could handle that. He just didnt like making friends. Friends all betrayed you in the end. He thought back at the time his friend Torch got him caught on his first escape attempt.

"Hi." She said, I wonder why he seems afraid... she wondered. "I'm Skye." she said with a wag of her tail. ((hehe fail))

Sena Gazed at the dog sniffing at her, far to close to where the kittens were. She Growled at him nd stepped aside. "Don't even think about it, Dog." Her voice rumbled. She was much more happy with cats around. Her voice then lightened. "Sena, If you must know. Don't touch what's under that nlanket and we'll be friends." She replied, Tail wagging a little bit.

Chaux stepped back. "Well, friends don't order friends around, Sena." She replied pleasantly. "But it's nice to meet you." She wagged her tail and stepped closer to Mirri, who seemed to be the only harmless one in the bunch. "Why don't we find some shelter?" Chaux asked, glancing up at the rain, which was pouring down heavily. "I don't like rain." She added.

 Cauchemar tilted his head to one side. Friendly dogs were certainly a rarity in this area, especially to him. "Well, Skye, mind if I step in? I would like to shelter from the rain." Without waiting for an answer, he walked in and sat down next to Skye.

Lukas lay down outside the shelter. He felt more in control of his surroudings outside. His thick fur was plasterd to his body, but you could still see his powerfull muscles beneath it. He didnt want to go in, and feel cornered. He would rather stay outside and be cold and wet. He rested his head on his paws and just looked into the door of the shelter, his body almost invisilbe against the ground. But his amber eyes glowed brightly.
