My hand lingered on my house's doorknob for a second as I willed myself to be brave. What was I thinking to wear this kind of outfit? I wailed inwardly, glancing down at my costume. A cloth wrap covered my breasts and lower area, the latter much like a loincloth, though longer so I could fit shorts underneath. I wore a skin suit underneath, but still, it was flashy. Two pointed ears that were slightly spotted adorned my head, and I had worn contacts with yellow cat pupils in them.

Running a hand gently over my top and lower teeth I felt the sharp fake teeth glued to them. ‘At least they weren’t covered with blood,’ I said to myself in an amused tone reminiscing about my trip to the costume shop. Honestly, every pair of canines or vampire teeth had been bloodied. Tsk.

My hair had been let loose for this occasion, and even though it was purple (and accident with a dye kit), it was the perfect length. Tucking a strand of hair behind my ear I played around with the fake claws I had glued to my fingernails as I stepped away from the door quickly.

Get a grip Tri, I thought with a small sigh.

Walking swiftly down the sidewalk I turned to the right and then left to meet up with Seth. It seemed like the twins hadn’t arrived yet, unfortunately.

I clutched in one paw a small basket thing that had come with my costume. Other than that it was a bit unwieldy, the basket was pretty amazing. It looked like it had actually been weaved from gra.ss stalks. It was a short yet deep basket with plenty of room for candy.

‘Hey Seth,’ I said with a smile.

Arms folded, head held high and silver eyes glinting, young Akilina Rilis wandered down the dark streets of her neighborhood. She checked the watch on her arm and then looked back at Akai, her twin brother. "Hey twin, which house first? Wait, don't we have to find Trickster?" Akilina groaned and started towards a house, wondering if the obious cat costume was hiding her friend. As Aki walked, Akai regarded the costume that his sister was wearing.

The girl who's blood he shared had cut her hair chort and dyed her black hair blue with two little ponytails that hung beside her head. She was wearing a tightly fitted tunic with blue lining and around her neck was a necklace, about 3 inches wide that alternated blue and gold, the gold being in the very center.  Some sort of skirt was thrown around her waist, heldonly by the two straps that tied at the center, tightening the cloth. Akia glanced downwords and noticed, with a small sigh, that his sister was not wearing anything that even closely resembled shoes, even her ears had more covering than her feet, being that they had fake pointed ears on them. For crying out loud, her teeth probably did to, what with the pointed fangs she was wearing. Akai's gaze traveled up his sisters back to see an intricate design that Aki had tatooed her self with, luckily it was only temporary. Next to the tatoos, on either side were a pair of feather wings. He wondered what Aki was going for, her costume was hand made, so he had no clue.

Akai looked down at his own costume. Being that he was a huge fan of the chocobo from Final Fantasy, he had dressed as one, in attempt to have a good costume this year, as opposed to last year when he had gone as buzzlightyear's counterpart, woody. He sighed. His costume was simple, unlike his sister's. Although she had made it for him, he found that he was slowly deciding that he should buy a store bought costume next year, but they didn't have many choices. He sighed. His costume was all blue, due to the fact that their younger brother, Topei, had spilled blue into the yellow , but Akai couldn't blame him. After all, he was only three. Akai sighed and kept gazing down. It was a beautiful costume, besides the incident, with blue feathers having been individually sewn into fabric, he was still wondering how it had been done. A hood wrapped over his head and the mask on his face ahd a beek protrudibng from it, but it was also covered in feathers.

"Found her!" Akilina's voice broke him of his trance and he ran towards Aki, his wshoes clapping the ground as he ran. He stopped, heaving, his sides going in and out heavily. "He Tri!" Aki said, looking at the other girl who seemed to be, yes, some sort of cat. For once, she had been right, which didn't happen very often.

Maksis pushed Taylor out the door, causing her to stumble. She issued a low growl to him and he messed with he hair. "Getting a little too into character there, Tay?" he asked and Taylor smiled, straigtening from her crouched position. Maksis' cat tail seemed to sway in the breeze and furious dust devils whipped up a few scattered leaves littering their porch. Taylor checked her watch and found they were late for their meet-up with Seth. "Come on, Maks. We're late," Taylor said, tugging on his black sweatshirt, seemingly identical to hers. Maksis allowed himself to be tugged down their porch steps by Taylor before pulling his arm free and jogging into the street.

Taylor jogged after him and he slowed his pace to match hers. She was already planning a route in her head where they would get the best and biggest candy. She saw Maksis lick his lips in anticipation of the delectable sweets and Taylor merely rolled her eyes. She picked up her pace a bit and pretty soon, she saw Seth waiting for them.

"Hey, Seth," Maksis called, raising his hands.
