Joaquin's eyes went wide when he started coughing violently. "What the hell?" she said putting her ice cream down and placing a hand on his back and patting him lightly. "Hey man, you should slow down If you eat fast you will choke." she said rubbing his back still.
Her eyes trailed down to her hand and if realized what she was doing, she pulled her hand away quickly and clasp them together on her lap embarassed. He wasn't a baby she didn't need to look after him. Not that she had a motherly instinct in her entire body, but still.
She looked back down at her now empty cup and looked for the garbage can, when she spotted it she grinned. "Bet you five bucks I can get it in." she smiled before picking up the cup and pretend tossing it a few time as she watched the garbage.
She tossed it again, this time letting go and it sail in perfectly. "Oh, awesome!" she said clearly proud of herself as she looked over at Nick.
She heard clapping and turned to see the cute guy from earlier smiling at her. She grinned back and bowed slightly and he chuckled before turning and heading off up the street, shooting a glance at her over his shoulder.
Still smiling she looked to her right and remembered that Nick was there. Her face quickly changed. "Oh dude, I am so sorry. That must have been awkward as hell for you." she rubbed the back of her head awkwardly and pushed her sun glasses up on her forhead. "I'll stop I swear, I don't have a lot of guy friends-" she stopped. "Well that's a lie, girls don't like me, so I have a lot of guy friends. Just most of them are used to me by now."
((You know how Joey's always at the bar. He should have his freakout there infront of a lot of people the next time a guy is hitting on her XD))

I clenched my jaw when she decided to flirt with the guy again. Man, I was about to kick him in the groin. "It's fine, Joey."
I said as nonchalantly as I could after wheezing right in front of her. Losing my appetite from the choking and Tony - I still hated the guy that was probably dropped plenty of times as a child - Itossed the rest of the ice cream in the trash.
With a smirk, I got out five dollars from my wallet and tossed it in her direction. We'll make her think it was for the bet, but it was actually because she had bought my ice cream and I was too mad about Tony to notice.

"Thank you." Joey said pocketing the money and standing up and stretching slightly. She was feeling like herself, there were no thoughts of how it could have been with Henry. There was only right now.
She looked down at Nick. "So you wanna do something?" she asked, shrugging slightly. "Or do you want me to drive you to the hotel?"

I definitely didn't feel like going back to that hotel, knowing the possibility of her looking at another guy like that was a high chance. "I don't want to go to the hotel just yet."
I said chewing on my lips as I thought. Turning my head, there was a park right in view close by. I smirked at Joey and lifted my eyebrows. "Let's go to the park. I know you have some kid left in you."

Joey smiled and shook her head, running a hand through her dark hair. "Ohoho. You don't want to know what I did when I was a kid." she chuckled as she thought about all the mischief she got into. "But we can hang out there for a while, just fair warning though. A psychopath in the park, that should be fun." She started up the street towards the green area.
"You'd better not make me do something girly or cheesy like feed ducks or splash around. I might just have to punch you. Or kill the ducks." she shrugged nonchalantly.

I said before following her up. There wasn't many people there, thankfully.

I said defensively, to save any ego I had when with this girl, as I walked in step with her.
