As she took a step closer, Alcarie took a step back. "It's not the food i'm worried about, I'm a decent hunter. But my fur, i'd like to keep it in tact." He teased offhandedly, trying to hide a grin. "Nice to meet you Spirit, which is a nice name might I add." One thing his mother taught him, was how to be polite. "I'm Alcarie. Will your pack mates be looking for you?" He asked, trying to keep his fur flat, not wanting to show the prospect of a outnumbered fight was not thrilling.

Flushing, Alcarie looked at his paws as if they were the most interesting thing in the world. He knew she was flirting now, something he'd never practice and was not good at. "Thanks, you to." He muttered, trying to think of something else to say." He could not help but chuckle slightly at the oddity of the situation. "Your quite lively, trying to get to know a stranger so fast. Impressive, and charming quality."

Chuckling, he sat down as well, yellow eyes taking quick inventory of the wolf beside him. She seemed innocent enough. "I would not call myself sweet una bonita, but i'v learned a few tricks." Among other things he'd picked up a few words from other packs, not all of which used the exact same words as they did here but were understandable. It was always interesting to see others reactions. Alcarie nodded, a slight flush under his fur. He'd been called a lot, but nice was never one of them. He'd tried sure, but most did not accept loners. "The stars are amazing to look at, especially when some of them have names after some story legends."

Alcarie smiled and looked away, tattered ears flicking back and forth consciously. " The most popular is the story of Wolfbane. He was a courageous wolf with supernatural powers, and apparently good looks to because She-wolves always seemed to flock to him." He grinned at the remembrance of the story and Wolfbane's humility. "So, do you have a male your padding after?" He asked. "Your own Wolfbane?"

" Youy sure know alot, Alcarie." Dawn said, smiling at the male. She sat down, her blonde fur rising as it touch the cool ground of the morning. "Your stories interest me." She said, "Do you have more?" Kismet rolled on her stomach, then got onto her paws. She was restless but had no idea of what to do. Usually she would go to the forest and listen to the birds chirp and sing, but she didn't feel like it. Dusk walked around the territory, searching for any small vermin to snack on. He spotted a small rabbit not too far away and leaped for it. He pined it down with his sharp claws and tore it into peices. He was satisfied with himself and so he walked on.

Alcarie flinched at the thought of the beta male. Who could resist the chance to have a mate that high in rank? But at her last words, he sobered a bit. "There's only been one female in my life, and she's long gone." He forced a small grin and shrugged like it was nothing. He jumped with a small yelp as yet another wolf popped out and lay down. Great Gods, females everywhere. Looking over at Dawn, he nodded in greeting, surprised that stories interested her. "Yes, I have many stories about packs and their own stories." Falconwing was almost finished sorting through her pile of comfrey, nose stinging pleasantly from all the scents. But another hit her from outside her den and she bristled. Padding out, she hoped it was Raze, since it smelled male but found herself looking through the bushes at another. |

Alcarie stared at Spirit for a moment, noticing his jaw was hanging n surprise and snapped it shut. "Your a beta of a pack? And your speaking with a loner?" He shook his head. "Today gets stranger and stranger. Why don't you like him?" Alcarie flinched at her question. "Viveral..died. Died while giving birth." The tone of his voice spoke that he wanted not to speak any more abut her.
