Volkenagrim was still unable to move. "Zurka!! Don't you know? I can't move..." he snarled out at her. Maleck was trying to rip himself out of Volkenagrim. But was trapped due to the magical field that keeps him from destroying the village near by. He snarled. Maleck was forcing itself out of him even more. "The magical barriers around this place prevent Maleck from escaping but at a price.... It wil merge even more into my essence until Maleck and I are one and the same and not two different entities!" He explained. He then let out a terrible yell of pain. It was as if he was in absolute agony. He grew more spines and they were on his arms. His back began growing fur from his hair. It was black as black ashes.

And she found herself coming back.
"That would have been great to know before hand, here I thought you were being polite and holding him back."
She changed into her manticore form and drug him out of the barrier, before flying up into the air.

"That too... as well." he snarled. Finally Volkenagrim began to shift. "Drop me down now!" He roared. Once he was out of the barrier he rushed himself off of her back. Then at last he couldn't hold it back anymore. Maleck then finally forced himself out of Volkenagrim's body. And the body of Volkenagrim burned into ash. Maleck let loose a loud roar as he faced Zurka. He breathed out a blast of pure flames. They were dark and soul draining. The Dark Beast snarled with great power.

Zurka beat her own wings, the manticore had its own nice talents. That and she had one final trick up her sleeve. However before she face him she dove down into the river. When she reemerged, she was using her secondary magic to make herself a coat of liquid ice (basically cold as ice but kept in its liquid form as water.)
"By all means Maleck. Lets begin shall we."

Maleck rushed Zurka with his horns into the liquid Ice. One could tell he was savage and crazy. Then he found his mark. He blasted Zurka again with the flame blast yet at close range. It hit her with great force. Then he slashed the blast into her with his claws. And grabbed her tail and broke it's spike where the venom is stored. He snarled with glee and jabbed himself with the poison tail tip. This proved he was immune to all poisons. "The Manticore's poison has no affect on me." He growled at her.

Zurka got her distance and simply reformed her tail, this time with many quill like spines, covering herself with the ice again.
"Oh I'd estimated that, however that's not what I was hoping for," she then swung her tail, launching hundreds of quills at him at once, many of them meeting her mark.
"VAREIGA!" The spell made the ice on her quills expand like thousands of spikes in his wounds, causing much more damage than they would on their own.

Maleck snarled in pain. He then broke through the ice and slashed into her legs. He then bit her tail and his own poison flowed into it. He jerked the tail off again with his jaws. Maleck snarled and then got hold of Zurka's face. His razor sharp claws slashed through it. He was still holding her tail with his jaws and then blasted her again with the Flames but this was a different sort. It completely enveloped her outline. His tail slapped her with great force.

And what she did the best course of action, abandoned the outer biomass completely. She blasted out the stomach of what had once been her and streaked right out between his legs and back into the water again. If he wanted her he'd have to come down into her element and face her while she was in this form, one of her favorites.

Maleck's body temperature began to rise. It was hot enough to evaporate water and turn it into steam. Although worthless to her as an element. He dived into the water and quickly evaporated the water around him. The water was immediately evaporated quickly heating up Maleck even more. His body was now glowing with what looked like Blood Rubies across parts of himself. His arms, his legs, and his neck. They radiated with great energy from them. He roared as the water was useless to Zurka now. Quickly even the steam lost all of it's water within it. He was radiating immense heat. A bit too much in fact.

And by this point she's already left the stream. Like she's going to stay in and be boiled alive. She was going to need something a lot more heat resistant. Well she did use that one a a few time. She morphed her form into that of a drake. A dragons breath would be useless against Maleck, and she didn't have the same mobility from a dragon that drake's long legs gave her. The particular species was able to withstand contact with lava for extended period of time. She'd be able to take the extra heat.

Maleck sensed this as well. Yet something was strange. It was as if he was holding back. The Sacred Dark Beast sneered a smile like ex
pression with his huge jaws. He then lept back ten feet away from her. "My time out of the Host is short. Already the Sun is about to rise... So we'll consider it a stalemate. Which earns you a juicy tidbit...." He hissed and growled low. "It is this... Once someone becomes my Soul Tamer our, my powers and my host will surge out of control... That is because these powers aren't stable. The force of Balance isn't meant to be controlled or tamed. So you will be destroying laws of Flows... Yet the Unbalance within me can be prevented. Two Mythical Blades must be collected first... There won't be another Eclipse for another week. So you've a week to prepare... Find them first and we will do this again!" He roared with raw power. Trees around the area began to crack and fall to the ground. He then added, "They a Kytilist and Iblis. One is the Sword of Life the other is the Blade of Destruction. They shall force an outer balance that as time progresses becomes an inner and outer balance. Find them before one week is through or we, Volkenagrim and I will die..." The sun rose behind them. His wings were bathed into the light. The Runeai on his wings began to glow and Maleck, with one last roar disappeared and dispersed. Volkenagrim's form then reappeared from the Beast's shadow. He collapsed onto the ground and was still. He was out cold and weak now.

Zurka changed into her human form and wrestled him onto her back before turning into a more favorable form for carrying him. Then she went through the motions of getting him back to his home and replacing him in his coffin before preparing herself for the trip.
Good thing is she had seen the blades before in her life, in fact she knew who now held them. The Viper, master of the street rats and thieves had held them for as long as she could remember. She knew that city, she knew those tunnels, and she would be taking those blades. She decided to write a not to him before she left.
~ I did not triumph in our battle, however considering I held my own admirably enough Maleck decided to tell me something very important. I will return before the week is over. ~
And with that she was off to the slums she'd once called home.

Little did she know is only Volkenagrim was the master of those two blades. Only he could activate their powers. If Viper knew that the blades would burn him alive with a single touch of their hilts, he'd not desire them. Volkenagrim was still unconscious and too weak to wake; much less move. He felt he had to feed on blood soon. But was much too weak to get it. The whole time someone was watching them in their battle. It was a powerful looking bird. It was covered in black Feathers and looked like a Dragon crossed with a Bird. His serpentine neck stretched out at the sight. He let loose a low scrawl a sounded like a caw from a raven and low snarl. "I see.... Perhaps... I should be of service..." He spread his wings and flew after Zurka. He was already flying above her. Then he grabbed her in his claws and plucked her into the sky with him. He felt her struggling in his clutches. "Calm down... Foolish Shapeshifter where to..?" he called out to her.

"I'm heading to Elsgeth city," she replied to the large creature. This was unexpected, and she hoped he was an ally. She had never known how viper could hold the blades, she'd seen her do it a few times, however it was more for show rather than the use of their magic. She knew that Viper was a very powerful sourcerous who's magics came from the flame gods. She'd seen someone attempt to steal them before. Their body had caught fire. However Viper was not stupid, and she could tell a liar. Averting the end of the world would probably be enough to persuade her old leader. After all, a street rat, was always a street rat in her eyes.

The Demon Dragon Bird laughed. "Sure thing...." He then flew faster. Finally they reached the city. The people below would normally fire at a strange creature like this in the sky. But the beast with Zurka in his claws let out a terrible scrawl. A sound like a demonic Raven's Caw combined with a Dragon's roar and Demons growl. A sound of combined souls and beasts. The demon dragon bird then landed, smack in the middle of town square. He carefully plopped Zurka right next to his sharp clawed feet. He then shifted into a form that resembled his previous form, yet was now more like a human. And not near as large. His human shaped body was covered in black feathers. The only thing entirely human, was his face. Yet it too had small flecks of feathers covering it as well. "First things, first... My name's Volarune. That's all you need to know for now.... The other bit's you'll learn in time. So for the time being pretend I'm your friend and maybe Demon bodyguard..." He snarled at her. He then yawned and sneezed. "The air here smells intense!" Some of the guards ran over to them. But them kinda sensed a powerful unholy darkness within him.

"They won't want to mess with an unholy mess like myself!" He snarled. In fact he was obviously right. They took one look at the pentagram mark on his chest and yelled, "AAAGH Unholy Demon! Run!" Then the dropped they're weapons and ran like cowards. All of them except the more Elite. One of them recognized Zurka. "Hey, Zurka! Long time no see! What are you doing with that thing...?" He asked her. Even though an Elite officer he was still very BADLY shaken by the Demon with her. His voice trembled a bit. Volarune looked at Zurka and told her, "Just say I'm a new friend that will protect you like a bodyguard." He then smiled as he paused. "That's the truth of it however..." His smile got wider and somewhat sickly it was so big. Volarune then looked back at the guard and he told him, "Consider me and that lady somewhat new friends. I'll protect her from anyone who'd like to mess with her. She is tough but some forces such as myself, she'd rather have a friend instead of an enemy." Then he went stone faced. And rather stiff. "Truth be known... I'd rather have her as a friend instead of an enemy too....." He added. He was somewhat as nervous of her as he sensed she was slightly of him. Due to the Demonic aura his shadow was letting loose. Dark hands. Black evil hands were reaching from his shadows. They seemed unholy as he was. But even more sinister. They were reaching but not grabbing. As if they wouldn't act unless triggered.

"I'm here on the world not blowing up business elite, so it would be best if you refrained from trying to imprison me, I have buisness with the Viper." Zurka then went over to one of the sewer entrances and lifted the lid. "I'll be back when I'm done, lets hope Viper can listen to sense."

The Guard nodded and walked away. The Shadowy hands disappeared. Volarune then sneered at the guards as they left them alone. Then he followed Zurka. "Well I heard the Rumor miss Viper has been having trouble with the Twin Blades as of late. The only reason why she was able to touch them was because they were like my Fath..." Volarune's voice trailed off at the last word. "I mean they were like Volkenagrim... Sleeping for centuries.. Then they felt some badness stirring." He then looked away from her. He was obviously hiding something. And it was vastly important. But he didn't want to say. As if saying it would kill him. Volarune then smelt the nearing of Viper's lair. "We're here..." Volarune muttered. And sure enough Viper was staring down at Zurka and the odd creature with her.
