Cassie frowned at the scent of smoke. She hated the smell of the damned thing. It made the fur on the back of her neck stand up. Cassie sighed. Since the humans didn't seem to smell it, Cassidy brushed her auburn hair away from her face and headed into the forest.
Instantly the smell of smoke became stronger. Cassie cleared her throat and narrowed her eyes. "Hello? Is anyone there?" she called out. Her ears flattened against her head as she wandered farther into the woods.

Avalia watched the girl and finally crept out of the buches, smoke still lingering on her clothes from that damned hunter's escape. "Hello fellow Blessed." she said, placing a hand over her heart in greeting. "I am Avalia... and you?"

Marianna's ears perked up as she heard footsteps through the forest nearby, the feline moving to investigate the source. Her tail uncurled from her waist to twitch behind her as she crouched down, eyes narrowing slightly before she pounced on whatever was making the noise.
She blinked when she saw she had pounced on another Blessed, her ears perked as she stood up. "Sorry," she said, her voice coming out as a soft purr. She thought it could have been another Hunter...can never be too cautious!

Cassidy watched the girl warily, her lips curling back over slightly pointed canines. "Who are you?" she asked. The fur on her neck bristled. Her tail lashed. "What do you want?" Her pupils widened, caution rising in them. A small shriek escaped her as she was suddenly knocked to the forest floor by a large form. Instantly her claws came out and she attempted to scratch her attacker.

Marianna raised her pawlike hands, claws hidden in their sheaths as her tail waved behind her. "A Blessed, like you. My name is Marianna, and I apologize for attacking you, but one such as us can never be too safe with Hunters around..." she sighed softly, her ears perked up. Welp...what a predicament she'd gotten herself into...

Cassie frowned. She blinked slowly. "Hunters? What are those?" she asked, confusion coloring her tone. She rolled over onto her paws and sat in a crouch. "I've never heard of those before." She resheathed her claws, her tail waving behind her to help her keep her balance.

C.J. stood stock still, barely daring to breathe. On the ground beneath him three Blessed stood, one of them in a crouch. He wiped a drop of sweat from the tip of his nose and readied the spring dagger in a sheath on his left forearm, careful not to let the blade scratch him. On the edge was a powerful sedative, capable of knocking an elephant out for up to twelve hours. C.J. aimed the blade at the Blessed nearest the crouching girl. He let out a slow breath. Now to wait for the perfect chance to strike.

Marianna let out a soft hiss, ears pulled back. "Hunters are humans out to kill us Blesseds," she replied, ears perking up as she looked around. "We can't afford to stay in one place for very long...they'll find us easier," she added, her tail bristling slightly. She had a bad feeling about this...
