Teresa recoiled as soon as the words left his mouth. She leaned away from him slightly, as if he was sick. Excuse me? Pretty eyes? Her eyebrows arched above her pale hazel eyes that he had so casually complimented.
After first she was indignant, but then she realized something; he was the first person to call her eyes pretty, besides her own mother, but that didn't count. Mothers were a bit biased.
Most people found her eyes to be creepy. They were pale and an odd colour, and made it seem like she was always giving piercing glances rather than normal ones.
Kyin thought her eyes were pretty.
She felt her face heat up as she blushed slightly. "Thank you." She said quietly, focusing her attention on the escape plan. She frowned.
"I can read the ti
tle." She offered. "But it just says escape plan." She glanced at Riku despairingly. "You couldn't have written this a little neater?" She smiled slightly to show that she was joking.
"I can't really read a thing. Give it to Riku, he should be able to." She fell back on Kyin's cot, closing her eyes.

Kyin held the paper up to his brother, who, in return, handed him a new lense. He popped the broken lense out of his glas.ses and put the new one in. He put them on and looked at Teresa. "I'm sorry if I suprised you. I'm just a little blind without my glas.ses and hadn't noticed the nice color until now.." He smiled and looked at Riku. "you know.. You could have tried to write when we were younger. Your handwriting is terrible.." Riku glared at Kyin and knocked him over with a swoop of his leg. "Shut up and stay on the floor.." He looked at the scribbles and sighed. "It's hopeless. I can't really make out any words.. I can make out some letters. But that's about it.." He looked at Kyin, who was lying lifeless on the floor. His eyes were closed. "Oi.. Kyin.." Riku's eyes began to show worry. "Hey! Get up!!" Riku teared up. "H-hey! now!" Kyin laughed and looked at his brother. "Your so easy to fool.." He smiled. |

Teresa sat up quickly at Riku's panicked voice. Her heart sped up a notch when Kyin didn't move from his awkward-looking position on the floor. Was he even breathing? She focused on his chest, but couldn't really tell from her angle if it was moving up and down like it should.
Did he hit his head? Is he alright? She stood up, but Kyin laughed suddenly, glancing up at his brother with his black eyes.
"Your so easy to fool..." He said.
Teresa blinked, then frowned. She kicked Kyin lightly and playfully in the side. "Get up before I actually do knock you out." She said, her tone mockingly threatening. "Go easy on the acting."

Kyin laughed and looked at Teresa. Your like my brother. He is always worrying about me.. I'm sadly almost 17.. And I don't have much time to be a kid anymore. Once they open those front gates and i'm free, i have no idea where I'm going to go. Or what i'll be.." He sighed and looked at the window. "Maybe. Just maybe I'll make it and find my brother." Riku looked at Teresa and Kyin "shut up Kyin... Quit fooling around. What would Jake say if he ever saw us here.. Or us acting like we've given up for about 3 or so years." He looked at Kyin then the window. "stupid thing.." he sighed and grabbed the paper he was looking at. He turned it sideways. "w-what...." |

(( Rocca: Oh. D: I guess we went really far. But in a way not really; you could still jump in after they get out of the room, since all they've been doing is talking to each other. Nothing happened that your character might need to react to, don't worry. o_o ))

Teresa licked her lips, which were dry from the cold. Her eyes still held the stubborn ex
pression that they had when she had been lying outside, vowing to escape.
"Yeah, but we're getting out of here before you turn eighteen. I won't forgive you if you wait until then. The sooner we get out of this place the better. We're going to make your brother proud, whether he's here to see it happen or not." Her hands tightened into determined fists.
Riku suddenly began looking at the paper oddly, turning it over on it's side. "What is it?" Teresa asked, folding her legs underneath her as she leaned closer, trying to see what was so interesting.
