Kyin's eyes somewhat widened. He looked at Riku, who seemed to be shocked. "Riku.... Should we.... you know..." he looked down at Teresa. "we have been trying for 10 years already... we are both 16.. You can do the math.. We can't seem to get more than a mile from here before they catch us again.. we have tried at least 50 different escape tactics. Once, we packaged ourselves but the package ended up coming back here because we didn't have an address on it.. we have never successfully gotten out of here.."

Riku lookedat his leg. "thank oyu.. And everything Kyin is saying is true... we have tried many times to get outselves out of here.. Everytime, we failed.. You can try all you want.. You can't really get away from here. Too many people on the outside know who awe are and where we all come from.. it's sad, but you know it's true.. being regarded as the KIDS... or the ORPHANS... it's humiliaating.. and yet, you know its true.. I' still a kid.. even at 16..."

Kyin looked at Teresa and smiled. "well, you know, I really don't wana fake my own death... I don't really want to be reminded of... of..." he looked down and a couple tears fell from his eyes. he looked at the gras.s and could only see fire. the fire that engulfed his house when his mother committed suicide. "I dont wana.." He began to shake slightly and he held his teddy bear tighter.

Riku looked at Kyin and quikcly ran to cover his ears. "please don't bring up death.. Kyin actually saw our mother kill our father.... And then saw our father kill our brother.. he.. he is really scarred from that.. He hates when people metion that.. I don't wana see him cry.,." He uncovered Kyin's ears and hugged him tightly. "i won't mind any otehr idead..we can telk you everything we did..."

Teresa stared at Kyin in shock.
I made him cry.
"S-sorry." She stammered.
"Kyin actually saw our mother kill our father..." Riku said.

Images flashed in front of Teresa's eyes as soon as he said this. The door, opening as she came home from school. Then blood, everywhere, spraying all over Teresa just as she walked in. A gaping hole in her mother's throat.
Teresa squeezed her eyes shut. "Kyin." She said. "Don't think about those things now. You have Riku; he'll stay with you and protect you."

She opened her eyes and looked at Riku. "It's fine." She said with a soft smile. "I don't really want to know. It's not my business."

Kyin burried his face in Riku's shoulder and clutched his brother's shirt. He let the tears roll down and he let them soak in Riku's shirt. He shook slightly and closed hsi eyes slightly. He knew would see black. But black, to him, was like erasing what happened.

Riku looked at Teresa and gently wrapped his arms around his brother. He knew Kyin dind't want to cry. He knew Kyin couldn't even cry as much as he liked. Kyin was always trying to be strong. He looked at Teresa. "Sorry if we brought back a memory.. Kyin is juts.. well.. Sensitive when people mention  somethingthat reminds him of what happen..."

Kyin finally opened his eyes and he looked at the grey, stone, mossy walls of his Orphanage. He looked around and nudged Riku. Toward the top of the Orphange, there was a small hole with an owl inside. The owl looked like any other owl, but Kyin had painted a small symbol on their owl. "Riku, he's back.. But.. didn't we tell him not to come until he found something of our brother?" Kyin looked up again and noticed the owl was gone. "oh.."

Riku looked at Kyin. "Sh.." He pointed. "Remember our first attempt to get out? We were lighter back then, but I think we can try that again.. Maybe make some modifications.." He grabbed Kyin and Teresa's wrists. He walked inside quickly and toward the room he shared with his brother.

Kyin opened the door and walked in He looked around and grabbed a small box in their shared dresser drawer. He looked at Kyin and smiled. "they are still here." he placed the box on the bed and opened it up. He poured the contents onto the bed and sifted through everything. "Look, even our owl egg stone... It's still here. Our first drawings of Jake and from Jake. We even have our plan layouts." He looked at Teresa. "This is all our stuff. This is everything we have sonce teh fire up to this day."

Riku gently pushed Teresa in the room and shut the door. He grabbed a paperclip from his shirt and undid it. He got on his knees and began to lock the door. He heard a click and smiled with satisfaction. "well, Kyin, your free to act as yourself now. Nobody can hear you or judge you for the way you are now.." He grabbed Teresa and sat her on the bed. "Listen, Kyin is really more mature acting than I am... And he is somewhat blind without his glas.ses." He took out some gl*censored*es from his pocket and handed them to Kyin.

Teresa tilted her head curiously, then looked at Kyin with surprise. "You've been hiding your real personality until now?" She asked, her eyes widening. "Because of me?" Because he thought I would judge him. She looked dismayed, and paled visibly.

"I'm sorry." She breathed. "You can act normal around me. I'd rather know the real you." She bit her lip, still feeling bad about it.

Kyin put his glas.ses on and pushed them up. His eyes were not childish anymore. They looked more mature and not as big. He looked at Teresa, his voice smooth and a little deeper. "I tend to not show my real self. One because I've been hiding this side for as long as I can remember.." He took out some pieces of paper and looked at them through his slightly cracked glas.ses. "Anyway, how long have you been in the orphanage.." he put his papers down and stood up.

Riku smiled a little. "This is the real Kyin. He doesn't have many different things... I've seen all this." He looked at Teresa. "Most everybody likes the real Kyin. A lot of the girls we met fall for this Kyin..." He yawned. "Either Kyin is fine with me."

Kyin looked at Teresa. "Oh really? So either version of Kyin is fine with you? Hmm.. First person to ever say that beside Riku.. Thank you." He smiled sweetly and averted his eyes to the papers again. He sifted through them and he held up his glas.ses. "Riku, we don't have another lense? This crack is bugging the hell out of me.." He placed his glas.ses on his bed and looked at the papers. "Hmm.. This one still seemed good.. We never tried it.."

Riku looked at Teresa. "Ahh.. I see. I'm sorry.. And you dont have to steal glaces at my brother.. I've been told by many he's, and i quote, "Pretty hard to keep our eyes off of.." and end quote of some chic wanting to hit on my brother.." he looked at Kyin. "Wait, we haven't tried something? i could have sworn we tried everything.."

(yeah. Its the only one they never tried.)

Kyin looked at Teresa. "you have pretty eyes.." He looked down at the paper again as though nothin ghad happened. He looked at the writing. "riku, your freakin' handwriting looks like chicken scratch..." He tried and strained as much as he could to read his brothers kid handwriting. "I can't believe you wrote like this when we were little." He flipped it over and looked at it. "nope.. That's backwards... Damn.."

Riku sighed. "Oh shut up.. Yours wasn't any better.."
