(( i have to go soon for bed.. ill try to stay on as long as possible.)) Dante stood sat at his desk, putting away some files. He sighed, exhausted and thoroughly pissed. His test subject died earlier that hour, though he wasnt sure why he was surprised. Most of them died due to the experiments or starve themselves and one time one of them commited suicide when it got hold of a needle. It frustrated him that he couldnt get the information he needed in order to really understand why these people were like this. What was even worse was that these humans had gotten very good at hiding and getting away. One actually had escaped from the facility, a young girl named Yukita, her shift being a wolf. Dangerous, dangerous indeed.

Ooc:// Of course! ^.^ Bic:// Mizuki paused watching as a tail apeared and ears. He glanced to the side at the fox at her side before a warm smile apeared on her face. "Hi. I'm Mizuki" he greeted waving slightly. "Fox right? I'm a mouse!" he grinned proudly making his mouse ears apear and spun around with a soft laugh. "I have a pet too! Although she's shy and hides in our home or well...what's left of a home. We hide there" he said softly tilting his head slightly ovserving the fox at her side. "Do you think we'll run into that girl again?" he asked glancing over his shoulder a little worried she might get hurt or in trouble even though she seemed to handle those two men just fine. |

"Yeah I'm a fox." She nodded. "That girl? I don't even know who she was. We might see her again. I don't know though." Her pet fox moved further into the alley and laid down. This was the only home that Sara had had for more than two weeks. "Did you get chased by crazy psycho men too? It seems like everyone is." She giggled a bit, but tried to keep a serious tone. The men that chased after her had guns, guns. Guns would almost instantly kill a fox due to their fragile, sleek bone structure. This was serious.

Persona: May I roleplay it out? I have a vague idea of her personality but I have a feeling it'll be very different from what I write down.
Past: She was fully aware of herself at eight years when her parents sold her to a pair of drug addicts- apparently her family was in major debt and they couldn't afford to keep a 'monster like her' alive. It wasn't worth it.
She was kept captive, tortured, and abused for almost a year before they just disappeared. She hung out in their joint for a while, scared that they might return, but eventually just left to live by herself on the streets.

Ooc:// Sorry! I got distracted. I'm watching Fruits basket again. Mizuki reminded me of Yuki. Bic:// "Oh" Mizuki muttered softly staring at the road beyond the ally before sighing. His right ear twitched hearing her question before shaking his head. "No. I was chased by the bread man. I was caught stealing some for food" he shrugged. "I get used to it. I'm always caught. It seems as though I can't really control the tail and ears" He frowned not liking that fact about himself. "I watched as they stole someone off the street last night. It was horrible but I couldn't help. I had to hide. I don't know what they are doing and quite frankly, i'm scared to know" he sighed averting his blue gaze to his bare feet. "Do you live out here on the street?" |

A small, pale face poked out from behind the concrete slab. Her dark eyes caught the light and glinted before she drew back, and turned to one of her smaller company. The raven twisted it's neck to look up at her, and let out a harsh, guttural cark!
The girl held her hand towards the large, beautifully ragged bird, fingers loose. The bird stretched forward and nibbled gently on her skin. The girl sighed, hugging her knees closer.
Faint sounds of traffic could be heard, but she was deep into the tangled maze of alleyways. About forty feet off the ground, a small cave-like area- more of an indent in the wall than anything else, with slabs of congrete and metal leaned against the side of the main wall. It was a wide area, and several ravens nested here. Lucy herself visited often. It was the only place she felt at ease.
With an inquisitive noise, another raven came closer to investigate her. It and the first one tore gently at her clothes. She let them- they were just getting used to her. She didn't make any move towards petting or even touching them. They weren't freaking domestic. They were like her. Wild. Survivors.
Lucy waited for them to finish before leaning forward. A long shaft of open space was close at hand in front of her, leading down to the alley floor. The young girl- her black hair a mess of tufts, much like an unpreened bird's feathers- tilted forward and tumbled into space.
In a blur she changed, every feature of hers shrinking and stretching and twisting until it settled on the form of a raven. She stretched out her wings, letting what little wind there was in the narrow alleyway catch them, and gave a few flaps for good measure. She wheeled forward, out onto open roads.
It was fairly quiet, but she stuck near the alleyway entrance anyway. Clinging to the broken pipe on the side of a house, Lucy noted- with a tilt of her ebony head- that it was abandoned. No sounds came from inside, save for the squeaks of mice.
Ravens were scavengers, but they hunted as well. Lucy clacked her beak eagerly and swooped through an open window. Rodents scurried back into holes, making shrill squeaking noises of terror, but Lucy dove and managed to pin one to the floor. She tore it open and snapped up it's innards hungrily.
(( In case you're wondering, yes, that's Mizuki's abandoned house. 8D ))

Ooc:// Mizuki's friends! O.o That better not be his pet in her jaws. >.> Bic:// Mizuki's ears perked snapping his head in the direction of the squeaks. His heart nearly dropped to his feet as he quickly dashed out of the alleyway. "I...I'll be back!" He nearly yelled at the fox girl he met. He didn't bother hidding his ears or tail; he was in to much of a hurry. His bare feet pounded the earth as his breathing increased. He reached the side of the abandon house. He slamed his hands into the wooden door throwing it open with, in his opion, way to much force. The wood slamed against the wall and Mizuki didn't even flinch when peices of the door splintered off flying in different directions. His eyes rested upon the raven digging into one of the mice that lived within the broken walls of the abandon home. His eyes widened in fear as he backed up away from the carnivorous bird. "Mia!" he almost yelled frantically looking around for his little black mouse. If she was hurt he didn't know what he would do. The little mouse had been his only friend, besides the other mice in which one was savagely being eaten by the raven. Mizuki balled his fists stepping forward yelling at the black bird. "Go away!" he snapped as clear tears found their way to his blue eyes. "Go away!" he snapped again. He was so much larger than the bird in his human form therefore giving him a little bit of strength, but not much. He was still terrified of the creature; his mouse insticnts clearly at work.

The loud bang of a door slamming open made Lucy- still in raven form- raise her head. Her features rose around her neck and shoulders, making her seem slightly bigger. Her beak dropped open and she let out a low hiss just as Mizuki saw her.
Then he was yelling at her, and she raised her wings in a half-threatening, half-terrified gesture. She had already noted his ears, tail, and scent of mouse, of course- technically, he was prey, but he was bigger than her, and quite frankly, she wasn't fond of people. He would hurt her. At the thought she stepped back, already shifting in her panic.
"Don't come any closer!" Her voice was hoarse and her eyes still wide and scared. Many of her avian features remained- wings, and feathers lining much of her body, though it was hard to tell them apart on her tousled head.
His loud voice and threatening advances stirred memories in her mind, and she took a few steps back, raising her feathered hands to clutch her head. Pain. Terror. Blood. She squeezed her eyes shut. This is why I don't ever try interacting with others. "Don't come closer." She repeated, opening her dark eyes. These memories of her year-long torture still haunted her.

"Please...Just...Leave them alone" Mizuki said lowering his voice and stepping back away from the now transformed girl. She was like him, a shifter. He let out a sigh and dropped to the floor in a sitting position keeping his now liquid blue gaze on her. Tears coated his vision but as soon as he noticed the girl turn into a blurr; he brought his hand up wipping away the tears. "Those are my friends" He whispered closing his eyes making his ears disapear but tail remain. A small squeak came from behind him causing Mizuki to turn. "Mia!" he yelled reaching out grabbing the small black mouse and curled his body around it. "Your staying with me. No living on your own. I don't care how much you protest!" he snapped at the small black mouse that let out another squeak before climbing onto his shoulder. The little mouse knew Mizuki would keep her safe therefore it was okay to be out in the open. "I'm sorry...I just...these mice...you hate me don't you?" Mizuki asked softly turning his attention back to the raven girl in front of him. "I'm not going to hurt you...not unless you try to hurt me" he noted a little worried how things would play out. Ravens, or any bird for that matter, were sworn enemies with the mice and rats. One was a predator, the other was pray. This was how the food chain worked but Mizuki didn't want it to be that way. He wanted nothing to do with the food chain even though he knew he was at the very bottom. He always would be. Nothing could change that.

Lucy watched him warily for a while. The silence stretched out- it was odd, talking and negotiating with her natural prey. She'd rather avoid him altogether, though, so she wasn't about to attack him. It wasn't the same.
She shook her head vigorously. "I won't." She promised simply. "And I won't... hunt here again. I swear." Her voice grew more intense at the last two words, as if she was trying to convey her sincerity. She appeared to relax slightly, but still kept a respectable distance from him.
She took the next stretch of silence as an opportunity to observe him. He wasn't that much older than her, probably, and he certainly didn't seem like the kind of person to take advantage of her and oh, I don't know, stab her with the fork she had been eating with. For example.
"Do you..." She stopped herself short, but reminded herself that giving her name wouldn't do anything at all. It wasn't like anyone knew her- her name was her own. She had thought of it.
"Do you have a name?" She asked, tightening the hood of her baggy jacket slightly. Her eyes grew defensive. "I'll tell you mine if you tell me yours."

(( You didn't miss much. o_o My character, Lucy, came across Mizuki's abandoned house and started eating his mice. Mizuki came and confronted her. They both know that the other is a shifter, and are just talking now. I'm not about to shorten my posts. :/ ))

Sara finally caught up with Mizuki. "R-Raven!" Ravens and foxes had hated eachother. They were both scavengers and had a tendency to fight over food. Sara recieved a scar from a raven a month ago. She wasn't really sure if this person was a raven, she just knew that they wreaked of ravens and had feathers everywhere. "W-what is a raven doing here?" Sara knew that ravens prayed on mice occasionally. Sara let out a soft growl. She had just met Mizuki and didn't plan on letting him get eaten. ((This is part of sara's personality, she's kinda protective.))
