((... and now, for the plot! The poor plot. Summary at the bottom for the weary. *hides Twilight fangirleshness from Daisy and Ranni*))
Dragons were never that amazing. They used to be just big, dumb beasts that stole your sheep (or occasionally daughters), but on the bright side were great when lightly roasted with a bit of rosemary. A bit irritating, because you do need your sheep, especially when the only thing you can eat is blood and a tiny bit of raw meat.
Vampires have it pretty nice in the mountains. Well protected from other people, nicely advanced in technology, though the only foreigners you see are the werewolves. They're some of the most feared people around, and though they don't really have permanent settlements, raiding parties sort of inhabit the forest around the village for most of the time. They're as bad as dragons, or even worse, because you can't tell if that wolf you stuck full of arrows was a real one, or if it's cousins will come looking for blood later.
Life is good, until one day, people come. Not pale-skinned and sharp-toothed like normal vampires or even shifty-looking and growly like the werewolves, but all pointy-eared and tall. You don't know much about these people, but they seem very interested in you, and the seemingly useless nicknacks that you own. Those bones that you use to decorate your room- y' know, the big ones, that look completely whole even though they must be ancient? They'll trade all sorts of fantastic stuff for it; odd furs, precious stones, everything you want and more.
Oddly enough, the dragons seem to be acting different. Some say that they woke up to see a dragon watching them from outside, or following them around in broad daylight. If you'll believe some of the more wild tales, the dragons are somehow magical, and whole flocks of them gather around the foreigners tents at night...
At least, that what the werewolves say, but they're always on edge. They keep raving about the balance of nature and whatnot, and they seem to be a bit less aggressive lately. This didn't stop people from questioning the elves about what's going on, and guess what they said;
Zip. Nada. Zilch. Absolute silence. Therefore, you are perfectly justified to snoop around, but these foreigners smell really good, and very very tasty-
-and now they're not happy at all. Surrounded by tasty and hostile elves, now-magical dragons and frightened werewolves, will you survive?
Tl;dr: There's a village of vampires who mostly drink sheep and/or wild animal blood. Werewolves steal their stuff. Elves come, and start trading for weird stuff. Dragons act weird and start bonding with people. Elves refuse to comment. Vampires accidentally attack some elves, elves are angry, everyone is miserable.
