Ryo's own ears twitched, but Darius seemed to ignore it. Either that, or he hadn't heard it. "I'm sorry," he apologized, placing his hand on top of Sorai's head instead. He scratched one of his ears, tilting his head slightly.

Sorai seemed to immediately forget as his ears started getting scratched, his tail wagging happily as, once again, he leaned into the touch. He loved that feeling and never wanted it to end, kind of acting like a puppy. He made a sort of happy little sound that he wasn't even aware of.

"Aww," Darius smiled, running his hand through Sorai's hair. "What a cute puppy~" Ryo pouted a bit, crossing his arms. "What? Are you jealous?" Darius smirked.

"Noo." Ryo's ears flattened against his head. "Are you?"

Darius frowned. "Now, why would I be jealous?" he asked, pulling Sorai a bit closer. "I don't see a reason for me to be jealous."

Ryo sighed. "Nevermind."

"You couldn't take it anymore so you took the kids to a daycare and Naomi wanted something and she's mad and apparently she hates you." Espen tried, tilting his head. "That's as far as I got." He kneeled down on one knee, placing a hand on Adrianne's back. "Want to calm down so you can explain correctly?"

Death began purring, and she leaned closer to Adrianne, rubbing her head against her.

Sorai, who had by this time closed his eyes like any other dog would, opened them to bl
ink at Ryo, then look up at Darius as he was pulled closer, left ear flattened as his right stood, the dogboy tilting his head slightly in confusion. Was Ryo acting jealous because he was getting attention? But Ryo didn't seem to like the attention when he got it, always hissing and flattening his ears.

It hurted the poor puppy's brain. He just didn't get that cat.

Eventually, Darius pulled Ryo closer and held him close, just as he was doing Sorai. Except, he was stroking Sorai's ears. "You've always been the only pet until now, Ryo," Darius said, smiling. "Now you've gotta share me."

"Whatever," Ryo mumbled, leaning on Darius a bit.

( Cats are weird. o3o When they've got attention, they don't like or want it. When they don't, they want it. )

Sorai's ears perked up at the sound of hissing, the dogboy looking up with a growl before turning to Darius and nuzzling him, affectionate like most dogs are to their masters, his dark eyes focused on the cat --the real cat-- in the room. "There's a cat here besides Ryo. And it's hissing at me..." he muttered, frowning.

Ryo looked up, smiling when he realized who the cat was. "It's Sabashgin," he said, mewing up at the cat. "I haven't seen him in a while."

Darius grinned when Sorai nuzzled him, nuzzling him back like he had done with his childhood doggie. "Don't worry. Little kitties like Sabashgin can't hurt human doggies." he said, looking up at the Russian Blue,

The whine had alerted Ryo, and his head snapped down so he could watch Sorai, his ears perked straight up. "What was that?" he asked, blinking.

"It's just something puppies do when they're happy." Darius explained, cuddling the dogboy. "Well, some dogs, at least."

Ryo sighed.

Sorai shifted a bit to get more comfortable, more than happy to just sit there and let Darius pet him, just like a dog with its master. Sorai being dog, and Darius the master, of course. He closed his eyes, tail still thumping lightly as his ears relaxed.

((Sorai is os adorable. To people he doesn't know he's like 'GRRRR." but he's a big puppy around the circus people since he knows them. Especially Ryo and Darius. Ryo because he's a kitty cat.

And Ryo is the only cat he seems to be fond of. Probably since he's more human than cat. Others drive him nuts.

Or maybe it's because Darius likes Ryo that Sorai seems to like him as well. Eh, oh well.

Well, if the dog is more affectionate than the cat, Darius likes the dog more. But generally, Darius likes cats more. But if he had to choose between wolves and cats, he likes wolves more. o3o Case closed.

"Ryo," Darius started, turning his head to look at Ryo. "why is it that you don't purr when I pet you?"

"Not sure," Ryo said quietly, his ears pullnig back. "I just don't." He looked up, eyeing Sorai. "I'm not very affectionate, if you haven't noticed..."

Darius sighed. "Well, Sorai's affectionate." He kissed the top of Sorai's head, rubbing one of his ears. "Which I'm glad for. I would be very lonely without you two, even if you're not affectionate." He looked back at Ryo.

Ryo sighed, and looked up at Sabashgin. "Okay, how 'bout you? I see you've been working on your speech..."
