Ryo felt like grabbing his tongue, yanking it out, and saying, "Cat got your tongue?" but...that would be weird. But, funny. "Eh, yeah. And who are you? Mr. Sunshine, I'm guessing?" he asked, grinning at Sorai. No, maybe not, but I've got nothing clever to say.

Sorai beamed at him. "Guaranteed to brighten up your day!~" he laughed. If he wasn't afraid of moving his tail at this point, it'd be wagging quite fiercely. But, since he was, it wasn't. "Satisfaction guaranteed!" he added, grinning.

Ryo couldn't help but laugh. "Do I also get a return policy, or are you just so sure that I'd be satisfied that you haven't thought one up yet?" he asked, the tip of his tail wagging back and forth.

Sorai stuck his tongue out again. "No returns~" he answered. "Nobody's been dissatisfied yet!~" he added, enjoying being able to play around now. Ryo usually just seemed so serious, so it was good to see him having fun now.

Sorai blinked once, the possibility of an innuendo finally registering in his mind. He chuckled. "Well, I've cheered up quite a few, if /that's/ what you mean~" he said, grinning lightly as he very carefully moved his tail a bit to keep it from stiffening up, which would only make it hurt worse when it finally healed all the way.

"Damn, really?" Ryo's ears perked up, his eyes widening a little, too. "Uh, no comment, I think..." Weird kid. He's younger than me by...what? A year? He snickered then. "No comment, but how 'bout a question: do you mean it?"

Sorai laughed lightly. "I hope you didn't take that as an innuendo," he chuckled, smiling. Moments later, he tilted his head slightly, blinking once. "Mean what...?" he asked, not sure what exactly Ryo was asking him about.

Sorai blinked again, curious. He really didn't know where Ryo was going with this now. He shook it off before turning to look at the lake again, then up at the night sky, attempting ot locate the star he had wished upon earlier. But, he pretty much figured he wouldn't find it. Didn't stop him from trying, though!

Sorai blinked back at Ryo before smiling and nodding, standing back up. He tilted his head back a bit to sniff at the air, searching for the familiar smells of the circus. He caught a faint whiff of it and began to move towards it, not trusting his sense of direction otherwise.

Ryo caught up to Sorai easily, and he set a hand on his shoulder, steering him to the left. "There's a creek to the right -- I wouldn't want you tripping in it." he said, touching the side of his shoe to Sorai's shin. It was something he usually did to people when he was walking with them at night. Like a border collie might nip at a sheep's legs in order to keep it in a herd.

But he wasn't a dog...

Sorai blinked and looked over at where Ryo's voice had originated. "Thanks," he told him, smiling a little. He kept his nose trained on the smells of the circus grounds, ears still cocked forward, twitching every now and then.
