Setting
2014. An extremely large metropolitan city. Buildings are deserted. Most supplies and food storages have been salvaged. Electricity no longer functions, only if you're lucky to happen across some batteries or a decent generator. There are results of car crashes and other miscellaneous disaster due to the zombie outbreak: charred areas on streets from explosions, broken down telephone and light poles, smashed-up cars, broken gla.ss from destroyed windows, various amounts of dropped items that are litter now, of course let's not forget about the slain and barely recognizable corpses that were lucky enough to avoid the zombie transformations. Blood (both dried and fresh) is plentiful on any surface you can imagine.

The ZombiesExtremely hostile. No human consciousness at all. Their sole purpose is to feed on flesh and blood. Nothing too complicated about that.
Habits/Behavior: Their eyesight have been dulled significantly, but their hearing have been greatly enhanced to make up for the lack of eyesight. Most of the time, they wander around aimlessly besides the occasional few that comes across some bits of flesh (rotten or fresh).
Speed/Strength: They chase at a fast jogging pace, but quicker feet can escape them. When it comes to hand-to-hand, they can be overcome by quick reactions and can be easily shaken off, unless you're ambushed by a hoard. Zombies are scarier by large numbers. Their skin/flesh can easily be pierced and their limbs can also be severed.
Infects By: Bites. Doesn't matter if it was just a nip. You're infected within an hour (for animals, it all varies). Being scratched by one is safer; it is recommended that you sanitize your wound somehow because their scratches are unique: it will leave a long-lasting scar, even if it's minor.
The Aliens
They are our [Humans] allies. They are humanoid in appearance, but their blood is of a different color and it usually varies between each alien. They're aiding us because they knew this outbreak would happen, but we never listened, always thinking that the Aliens were hostile. We were wrong and now we need their help. Aliens on earth have no contact with the aliens in space. All they know is help will arrive on time. Yes, they "told us so".
Habits/Behavior: Nothing too unique. They're just like humans, since they have studied us all for centuries. They are very up-to-date on human interactions, which is why they've been successfully blending in for so long until now.
Speed/Strength: All aliens have hidden their true abilities in the past to avoid suspicions and attention. Now, they don't have to hold back anymore. Their speed and strength are slightly higher than average human beings. Just think of them as strong marathon runners. They're all trained fighters, more or less.
Can they be infected by zombies?: Yes, by zombie bites, yet no. Aliens will not transform. Instead, their body slowly decays from the inside out. They gradually die, although it's not visible. It's a dull pain at first, but the pain builds up as time pa.sses by. An alien's body will truly die within a few hours (3 to 5).

General Plot
A mysterious outbreak of infections occur throughout the whole world. Within a day, earth's population has been cut down to a mere one-fifth of its original population.
The RP will start off in and around a high school building in the morning, but most likely dispersed throughout the city. Most are either dead or turned into zombies. Only few survivors are left, scattered in groups but eventually uniting.
Survive until the alien rescue aircraft arrives. It will take 7 days until then. Short and simple. :D

Rules
- No breaking of rules (both the ones in this post and site rules)
- No powerplay. No godmodding. Have some weaknesses sometimes.
- Please be semi-literate at the least. And chug out a minimum of one paragraph per RP reply.
- No pre-determined relationships (if you control more than one character, they cannot be in a boyfriend/girlfriend relationship with each other. That's just kind of weird.).
- Ask to join. Post "I'm a hero" somewhere.
- Even gender ratios.
- Violence is encouraged (duh). So is romance. Just keep it within site rules. Otherwise, -almost- anything goes. :D
- Don't rush the rp or other rpers for replies. I hate it when rps are rushed. Solutions: rmail the person you're waiting for a reply on, or bump the thread up. However you do it, just do it nicely.
- Highlight this part. instead of "I'm a hero", post "zomg, my face is gone".
- The rp days will not go by so quickly. I want this to be a fairly interesting roleplay. There's no point if a roleplay ends in less than a few real days. xD
- The maximum characters you can enter with is 2. I'm not sure how many people are going to be in yet. ;o;
- Zombies can be controlled by anyone. Again, no godmodding. Zombies are NPCs.
- Bi/gay/les allowed. It's optional.
- No Mary/Gary Sues.
