Morana snarled and gripped Yukita by the neck, throwing her to the staircase where the stone chipped.  "Do you think I am stupid." she stated, not in a question but a bitter statement.  "I am appauled that you believe you will be a member of my ranks once more... I do NOT offer second chances, and therefore, you perish with the humans..." she stated in an expressionless sneer, her eyes on Trek instead of Yukita.  "You owe my brother your life.  I can't strip your immortality while his venom runs through your veins.  But my dear, the venom only lasts but a moon at its strongest..." she stated, "And I will wait.  For when that moon is up.  I will be waiting.  And you will be destroyed as a mortel, if somehow you escape death today." she paced about the hall, feeling the eyes of the two remaining immortals and their human pets.  "Plead all you want.  Destroy your brother.  I will not take notice."

"You foul mouthed demon..." Ext snarled as his animal features began to show... he couldnt find a weakness...this immortal was several thousand moons older then himself... what was her weakness he couldnt tell.

Trek inhaled deeply..."Loyalty is an illusion.  You must trust your own allies.  You changed Yukita for a reason.  And I believe you CAN take her back." he whispered.

Morana smirked, "If loyalty is tested, then you are more likely to be betrayed.  Yukita ran.  Came to humans for help.  You took care of her, Trek.  And she was ungrateful in all she had.  She is trying to choose the winning side.  And her own stupidity will lead to her downfall... much like Rule and Maku."

Drake finally got up the nerve to speak, "If you kill your brother, you will be no better then the black turkey herself." he whispered to Yukita, not realizing he spoke alloud.

 Ebony didn't even look at Yukita. She hadn't trusted her from the start and she wasn't surprised by her actions at all, though she had expected Yukita to maybe trade sides a little sooner. Her eyes continued to search Morana, but she found nothing so instead she turned to seeing if Morana might give any away. "It must be sad....Not being able to trust who you thought you could. At least I would be sad, but then again, it must bring you join when you hear there finally screams and pleads and know that you have won...You haven't won a prize or a fight, but a test of survival and foolishness. You know that you are stronger then the other person and that is what makes you what you are, someone who thinks they can win everything and pretty much get whatever you want, but what you don't know is that every person has a reason...Yukita loves, or loved, her brother, and love just isn't a thing you understand." She said in a soft tone...Almost as if understanding. "Some may love you, but not for your personality...At least not your real one. unless of course they are someone stupidly stupid who can't see that you are using them and will just continue to use them the longer they love you. Or maybe you know love. Maybe so many people have loved or love you that you don't want to be loved or the emotion doesn't mean a thing to you anymore."

Yukita gasped,, her bones creaking as she made contact with the stairs(?). "Misstress." She breathed, tears forming her eyes. "No one loves you because of your personality, or your statis as leader. We love you because there is something about you that needs to be loved. I didnt run, I went to finish a task and got lost in the emotions of humans. I am only a couple of moons you know. I dont care what happens to me really, apparently I dont do any good as a human nor an immortal." She glared, a sad look in her eyes. "Now let me guess 'You know nothing fool. Your words will not prolong your death.' I get the picture, Im dead meat. Doesnt mean I need to be treated like one." She sighed, her legs giving out from beneath her. Dante rushed forward a step to help her but stopped short, thinking of her words. "Everything you told us then was a lie." He accused, hurt deep in his voice.

Morana sneered, "I care not of your words, Yukita." was all she said of the matter.  Her words meant nothing, and they were true, she cared not.  Her gaze drifted to Ebony..."My dear Ebony, you search for a weakness.  When none exists.  Your words are only spoken to delay your own pitiful death.  Hold your tounge if you have an once of pride left...  I dont care for love.  I know it exists.  That feeling you humans obtain... to a sibling... a spouse...a child.  That same feeling I recieve when I tear those things away." her tone was expressionless, uncaring.

It was at this moment that Drewn appeared at the top of the stairs... the first time he gazed upon Morana in hundreds of years.  "Morana?" he breathed in a whisper.  For once since he arrived, he showed no emotion as he decended, but the story was told in his eyes, they softened in ardency, not unfocusing from the female griffon.  His breath shortened as he took her in.  So beautiful. 

Ext took another step in front of the humans, no voice escaping his voice.

Trek glanced at Yukita... not in anger, not in suspicion, but in disappointment.  He went to Ebony, his eyes saying 'its not worth it'

Drake took a deep breath and watched the actions take place from behind the immortal called Trek, his hatred burned towards Morana, but even more so to yukita

 "I'm not looking for weaknesses. I'm trying to understand you." Ebony said tilting her head to the side. Ebony had always had a curiousity for what went on in peoples minds and what made them who they were, and Morana was very difficult for her to understand which only made her more curious. "I don't care about my life. I would've killed myself hours ago, but I wanted to stick around to help my sister keep calm." She added.

Morana ignored the human, already losing interest in the worthless soul. She didnt turn around as Drewn came to her.  "Drewn.  It's been a while." she breathed in an expressionless voice, her eyes on Trek.  Taunting him.  Telling him she knew that Drewn would serve her.

Trek bit his lip but remained in his post... in his heart... he prayed.  Prayed that Drewn would leave his thoughts behind and return to his side.  His hatred burned to Morana his fury was beggining to erupt from what was left of his heart.  He lowered his head to the ground...  flashbacks of his family flew through his mind.  Flashbacks of this night returned to him.  The anger he recieved when Morana taunted them...when she destroyed Rule and Maku.  When Drewn touched Isis.  All soaring from his memory.  Somehow...these memors hurt more then any blow Morana could throw physically.

Ext senced the tension and spoke to the group... anwsering Ebony.  "There is nothing to understand.  Nothing to mourn.  Nothing to find out.  All is known.  All is lost.  Morana is a soul that no one can predict.  And even the wisest of creatures have yet to find out if her mind takes the place of her heart... which has ceased to beat...  not all creatures have a good side.  Some creatures... only have a bad.  It may not be from guilt or life's parrels and trauma.  But it may just be how the creature was made.  Perhaps the black falcon was created a dark soul.  And there is not a being alive or dead that could comprehend why that has to be."

Drake listened to the immortals speak... he tilted his head to the floor.  His fear had perished towards the strangers and the immortals... his only fear was towards the girl who stood before him, the sister of someone so kind, so haras.sed.  How can she be different?  She was.  He held his tounge.  So bad he wanted to ask... Why carolyn?

 "Huh...I guess you're right." Ebony said as she turned her gaze away from Morana. She looked at the other people around her and noticed that she was actually acting very calm for someone who was about to die. She sighed and turned around to go sit back down in her chair.

 Isis tapped her foot againstthe ground in an impatient way as if she was getting tired of waiting to die. She grumbled a few soft words to herself as she stared down at the floor and watched an ant run across the floor and squeeze itself into a small crack in the floor and disappear.
