'No,' Adelainne growled, having regained control over all the minds. Speaking with the lion's mouth she gave a small yawn, revealing ivory fangs. 'I agree to this. But should you attempt to leave us here in the dust I shant appreciate it.'

Knowing that after Morana the chimera could be counted as one of the strongest, for all its conflicting personalities, since she was powerul and devasting with her attacks.

 Isis shivered. "That is just...Sick!" She said looking overat her sister who was turning a strange white blue color. 

 "We should probably call the police and let them deal with this...We wouldn't want to have one of these people come after us." Ebony said feeling like she was about to be sick. She looked back down at the dead human. "The daggers...They might have the finger prints of the killer or something." She said.

Sighing the chimera nodded sullenly. 'I only wished to clear my point,' Adelainned murmured, slightly subdued. Feeling more secure now she shifted into her true human form, green eyes gving Morana an apprasing look.

'But I will become weak if I do not eat at least once every two days. My being needs thrice the amount of food than other immortals.' Giving a small sigh she clasped her hands together and waited for Morana's reply, whatever it would be.

Morana let out a low sigh, "I understand your position, Adelainned... however, I believe it is to risky...there are many homeless in the city... perhaps they will do for now... but be sure that the evidence is hidden.  I understand killing to survive." she looked at the others "You will each destroy one human, and any other you believe to have known some information... find me the proof the mortals are finding on us and destroy it... and dont give yourselves away/" Morana said each word in a familiar empty tone, and rested her eyes on Yukita..."After the meeting, you will all get a good rest, and continue your hunts soon."  She stopped, thinking for a moment...

"Perhaps you all deserve a break from my bidding... if you promise to be careful, you may each have the time to yourself for the next 48 hours.  You may spend it killing, feeding or even resting.  Stay together or wander apart.  48 hours, then report back to the den and await instructions." she said, the immortals have done her work for the past several years... each one of them worked hard and deserved a break.  "Dont do anything stupid." her eyes narrowed..."Or I will end you as previously stated." she took her seat back on her stool and waited to see if there were any questions...

Drake nodded, and pulled out his phone.

 Ebony sighed. "I'm going to go look around to see if there is anything else dead around here." She said walking out the door and towards another room. She poked her head inside and looked around. There's nothing that suspicious in this room... She thought.

 "I wonder why the person killed him..." Isis said thoughtfully.

Yukita's eyes opened a little wider. Time away from the others. SHe looked at Morana her eyes seeming to say I dont know if I should but she knew better than to refuse an offer like that. "Well misstress Morana, I bid you good night. I have work to do." She stated rising from her seat, turning towards the exit. "I sure hope my brother hasnt taken up weapons training like he said he was." She turned her head back smiling at the group.

Dante threw the covers off of his body, sleep unable to swallow his mind. "I'll just take a walk through the park a few blocks down." He said to himself, pulling on a pair af jeans and a jacket. He finished tying his boots and rushed out the door, into the fridget night air.

Scowling slightly Adelainne inclined her head towards Morana, peeved at this free time. How am I supposed to spend it, she thought miserably, knowing that she was about to lose control agian. Shifting back into her true form the chimera let her other heads go from her control.

'Let'ssss go hunting, ple*censored*sse,' her snake head hissed with evident delight. 'Sssso hungry even though we jussst ate. Let'sssss go Adelainne.' It coiled around her torso lovingly, its broad arrow-shaped muzzle resting against the Lion's head, in between the lion and goat.

The goat brayed with annoyance. 'We just ate Snake. Let us go rest, for I am tired and it's been long since we have lain to sleep. Morana would agree that we should all save our energy for hunting the humans.'

'No,' the lion growled, though this was ineffectual, as the snake had begun arguing with the goat again. 'If you don't--' Seeing that the two were not going to stop the lion grasped the snake's head with its mouth and held it there angrily. 'Quiet,' it growled through clenched teeth.

"Here, catch." Aki tossed the sheet music at Morena that read The Killing Song~ an ode to Morena.  With that, Aki dissapeared, leaving no trace that she had ever been there, not one feather lay out of place. "48 hours... hmmm.." she thought for a few seconds and then went back to the man she had killed. He was still laying where he was, blood pooling around him. She reached into his pockets and found something good. In his left pocket was a thin sheet of paper and through the blood, she could see a phone number and the words: Immortals are Real. She let a rare smile form on her lips.

"This is good, what luck. Its a pity. You were actually quite cute, to bad you knew more than you should have." she hissed to his body as she ran off, bloody card in hand. "Hello?" she dialed the number on the card from her home phone and got a man's husky voice on the other end. 

"Are you Marty?" The voice asked, a bit unsure, as if this was a trick.

"Immortals are real." Aki stated in a man's voice, an almost perfect reflection of the man's voice earlier.

"ah, so you are. Meat me at this address in two hours." Aki almost laughed, but she coughed instead, to hide hre voice. She nodded her head. "Yes, I will do that." Aki said in the voice again. the phone clicked and off she went. When she got there, the man had a gun pointed to her head. "Nice try." He said as she acted surprised.

"You slippery snake." He whispered with a bit of a quiver in his voice.  "Oh, really, I thought I was a pegisus, but snake might be a better word." He was dead before she said the end of her sentence, lyingon the ground with a bloody wound in the place where his heart should be. There was no blood, it was inside Aki. Why, noone knows. She dissapeared, back to the den, not even needing 48 hours to do the job. she sat back down on her throan and closed her eyes...

A.sserting her dominance once more Adelainne gave Morana one last farewell before padding out of the hall. Letting the cool air waft across her muzzle the lion gave a small purr. The other two heads stayed silent, knowing that Adelainne was thinking and did not wish to be disturbed.

Walking down the nearly deserted road the chimera was so deep in thought that she did not notice a single woman sitting on a bench nearby. Upwind from her, Adelainne could not have scented the intruder either.

‘I knew you existed!’ the woman screamed fearfully, standing up and pointing an accusing finger at the immortal. ‘I’ve got a gun you know!’ Digging into her purse the woman brought up an Ultra CDP II .45 ACP.

Snorting with alarm Adelainne was jerked out of her reverie quite rudely. ‘Are you threatening me?’ the lion’s head snarled coldly, the goat and snake nodding empathetically. Examining one clawed paw in a bored manner, stealing the woman’s attention to it, the woman missed the glob of poison shot by the snake.

Landing on her face it began to burn the flesh, sending up trickles of evil-smelling black smoke. Screaming, the woman dropped her handgun and began swatting at the poison, but only succeeded in spreading it about her hands and arms.

In a few short moments all that was left of the woman was a pile of vile ashes, but soon a sweep of wind remedied that.
