Squall watched, amused, as a scene unfolded before his eyes. A guy and girl, obviously both Hunters, one too weak to move, and the other... He watched as the male Hunter asked how old the girl was. He smiled (a bit evilly). Heh. My reaction too. The ironic part of their conversation being how 'Killers speak formally'. Squall frowned. Really? Well... Tch. I guess I did. His frown deepened. Ack. I think I still do talk too formally. He sighed. Well, he was after all part Killer part Hunter, right? So wouldn't he smell... Different? Meh, who knows...

"You two should move." It was Trinity's voice. She walked up from behind Squall. Her different coloured eyes sparkled with amusement but her mouth frowned at the two. Cedric was smiling and leaning on a nearby tree.

"Best get a move on," he said. "The Killers are coming." He said this as if it were an every-day sort of statement without so much as blinking an eyelash. And he looked as though he was trying not to laugh. Squall realized he hadn't spoken. He kind of didn't know what to say.

"We're moving towards the heart of the forest," he said. Hopefully I didn't sound too formal...

Zoey froze as the people came from the forest behind her and towards them, she hadn't noticed it before. Why would I notice that? Zoey thought, I didn'texpect a Killer to be traveling with Hunters... She thought back to what had happened before the Killers attacked. He must be the Killer that that girl had changed.

"Well, we were heading that way but we got... off track." James said, he looked back at Zoey realizing she still hadn't stood up. "Come on grandma!" He joked. "Dont. Call. Me. That." Zoey growled through clinched teeth, there were tears forming in her eyes,she blinked them back. She watched as small spazims went through her body, the effects of her exurtion. James caught a note of pain inher voice and circled around to see her face. She was starring wide-eyed down at the ground, tears in the sides of her eyes.

"Whats wrong?" He asked cluelessly, he obviously didn't think that she would suffer any consiquences for her actions back there. "I can't move James..." She said. She dug her nails into the gr*censored* and closed her eyes. "I... cant... move..." She repeated. I'm weak... she thought. A few tears fell to the ground. James smiled and moved so that he could wrap his arms around her, he lifted her gently.

She gasped as she waslifted from the ground. She looked at James. "Then you don't have to. I'll move for you." He said. She whipped her eyes, it was too quick to see. "Yeah well-!.... thanks."

     Tara blinked. Weird was the only deion for the banter she heard from the two Hunters. Obviously, she could not see what they were doing, and the half sentences she caught made no sense at all.

    Brushing her hair out of her eyes, she turned to were all the noise was coming from. "If you dont mind," she purred menicenly (sp), "We should all get out of here. Do I even need to remind you about the Killers coming, huh?" 

   Tara spun as a small crack came from the forrest. A muttered curse was hardly distinguishable, but Tara knew someone was there. The someone dropped all pretences of being quiet, and started running. Tara drew her daggered. Either it was a stray human, or a Killer with a death wish. 

   Croching low to the ground, Tara hissed. By now everyone must have heard the footsteps. Stepping forward slowly, Tara got ready for a fight. "Come out, come out, were ever you are." She sung in a light soprano. 

James spun around to face the noise, he was a new Hunter so he could hear whatever was coming like Zoey could. Damn it! I didn't hear it coming! I'm losing it! He backed up slowly, getting her away from whatever was coming. His breath quickened, "Wh-whats your name?" He asked suddenly. Zoey was consintrating on whatever was coming their way, trying to focus on what it was by its movements when James' question distracted her.

"What?" Zoey asked,trying to focus on both of them at once. "Whats... your name?" James asked again, there was fear in his voice. "Why?" Zoey snapped, "Why do you want to know what my name is at a time like this?" She asked. "I don't know. J-just tell me your name. K? Its not fair that you know my name and I dont know yours." James said. Zoey could hear the seriousness in his voice. She huffed, men.. their so clueless... she thought sadly.

"Its Zoey. Zoey Hathaway... for now it is. Now, why the hell are you backing up?" She snapped. James stopped immediatly, "I like your name." He said, "You should keep that one." "Focus!" Zoey snapped, "stop talking to me and get me toward the front of the group!" She said, squirming in his arms again. James moved forward again, "Now put me down." She instructed. James hesitated but did what she told him to do. She whobled so James grabbed her elbow to steady her. She looked at him but didn't say anything.

"Its a Killer." She confirmed, the movements were too precise to be a Human, and too confident to be a Hunter. "Female. Newborn." She informed the group. She knew that Newborns were as strong and fast as the older Killers, but they weren't as smart. "Wait." She stared in the direction the fottsteps were coming from. "Theres another one. Older Male." She could hear them breathing now, they didn't have to breath but it was a hard habbit to break. "They don't know we're here."

 She knew that from the way the moved as well, they weren't trying to hide anything but their steps weren't confident either. I think I can control the Female... but definatly not the Male. Im too weak. "The Male is prtotecting his right side, he was a limp." James was amazed that she could tell this just from hearing them walk. Im useless compared to her and the others...

   Tessa sprinted as fast as she could, cracking up the entire time. She was fast, so amzingly fast. Dare followed, silence to her loud crashing. Tessa admired his quiet, it was not fair. Suddenly he stopped.

   Going back, she pulled up beside him. "Hey! Whats up? Why did we stop." Dare lifted his head, sniffing the air. "Hunters." he hissed. Tessa was filled with a loathing that scared her.  Sniffing the air, her eyes widened. "Tara!" She whispered, and took off. 

   A tear dripped on to her cheek, as the smell of her friend filled her nose. Memorys *censored*ulted her from every direction. Them, walking down a street laughing. Tara's once bright blue eyes sparkling with exitment. Before the toxin, before she went blind, before he died...

  Tessa shook her head, clearing the thoughts away. Focusing on the light ahead, she broke into the clearing.Tara crouched there, hissing. Tessa lept. Dare lunged to stop her, but it was to late. Idiot girl! The Hunter is going to freaking kill you! he thought. But Tessa didn't notice the growls, in her mind, Tara could never hurt her.

   Tara tensed as the girl came crashing though the undergrowth. "fight time." she whispered. Her brow furroweed as the girl lunged at her. A fool's move, the Killer was as good as dead. Tara lunged to, striking out with her dagger. Suddenly she froze, daggers and inch from the girls skin. "Tessa?" She whispered. Tessa grinned, and nodded. They both leaned forward at the same time. Making for a very violent hug. Breaking apart, quickly, they smiled at each other. Dare looked at both of them. "Could some please tell me whats going on here??"

Looks like they know each other... Zoey thought carefully as she looked from Tessa to Tara. But its still not safe, she's a Newborn. Very new. Meaning she'll need blood soon. She looked at the Male. She couldn't control him, she knew that, but maybe she could convence him to go away or surrender to the group of Hunters.

She starred at his face, waiting until he caught her eyes to make the suggestion, she was already setting up the message in her mind. "We can't take on this many Hunters. We need to get away" James watched Zoey carefully, watching for any signs that would give away fatigue. His eyebrows pulled together in a frown. She's very strong... She was panting and looked like she was going to fall over, but he had a hold of her, keeping her standing.

History: She had a pretty regular past, two loving parents and a protective older brother. She didn't understand that old saying, "You never know what you have until its gone forever"  but she does now. It was a stromy night when she woke up to a noise, they were Killers and they had just finished with her family downstaris and were coming for her. She had known this and ran, trying to escape them through the window. When she failed they had her alreay, the only thing that saved her was the sun coming over the horrizon.

Personality: She is calm, cool, and collected. Usually, she is indifferent to everything that goes on around her, seperating herself from it all. She is cold and calculating at times, but is capable of loving deeply. She is definatly someone you would want on your side, and not on the opposite.

History: He was one of the first to catch the virus, and he was one the first to purposely spread it to someone else. He caught the virus when he was traveling through the mountains, he drank from a puddle in extrem thirst and the rest is history. One of his latest victims didn't die and woke up a few hoursafter he had fed,she followed his scent andhasn't left me alone sense.

Personality: He is cold and withdrawn from all other people, he is strong and calculating. He is sadistic and loves everyone's pain, even his own. He draws energy from it and goes crazy, sometimes he can't even control himself around pain.

History: When Andrewattacked her family, she was the only one to wake up. She felt both hate and love for Andrew so she decided to find him. She and Andrew have been inseperable ever sense, she is in love with him.

Personality: She is very hyper and loves to talk and move. She's happy all the time but don't let her fool you, she is a weapon of m*censored* distruction. Thats the biggest reason Andrew didn't kill her when she was a newborn. She listens to whatever Andrew says.

BiC: Trinity stared at the scene. Now, a Hunter killing a Killer was something she was used to. A Hunter and Killer smiling at each other and then embracing was something that Trinity had never seen before, really. The male killer nearby was obviously thinking the same thing.

"Could somebody please tell me what's going on here?" For once, Trinity agreed with a Killer. Probably the last time. Squall, however, was staring at the scene in interest. He was pretty sure he had met up with the male Killer before... Or p*censored*ed him by somewhere.. But he couldn't remember much past that.

We can't take on these many Hunter, we need to get away. Dare blinked as the voice intoned in his head. He turned slightly to the left, glancing at the blonde female hunter. You are a Hunter, child, you should not be thinking like that. Dare turned to Tessa, he needed an explanation.

Tessa broke away from Tara. Glancing up at Dare. "Dare, Tara. Tara, Dare. Dare, Tara was my brothers girlfriend... before." She coughed one. "Anyway, we were very good friends. Tara, Dare is the Killer who accidentally turned me." 

Tara hissed, turning to Dare."What do you mean 'Accidentaly'???" Dare held up his hands. "Hey, hey, hey, she had not been exposed before. My bad." Tara just shook her head in discust. 

Dare glanced up at the halfling. He was fimilair, a name was on the tip of his tounge. Some images flashed though his head. Laughing, sun, fear. "Squall!" He suddenly barked out. Grinning he walked forward. "Yo! Waz up man!"

BiC: "Squall!" Dare suddenly exclaimed. "Yo! Waz up, man?" Squall stared long and hard at Dare. Some of his memories were gone, but he seemed to remember... Something. Ah, wait. They had bumped into each other once or twice... And they had always seemed to have the same targets when killing. So they had become friends, basically. ((Why is this reminding me of Kingdom Hearts?! Roxas and Axel... O.o )) But this very last year Squall had decided to travel a little farther to the west while Dare remained where he was. Squall suddenly smiled.

"Dare! It's been... Forever," he said.

Too many people know each other here Trinity thought to herself. She and Cedric were staring at the whole scene, just as dumbfounded as they were before. Friendships between Hunters and Killers... This isn't good. Somehow, by some coincidence, long lost friends had met up with each other. And Trinity and Cedric had both learned by now that this happening usually didn't have a happy ending.
