 "Being a spy isn't so great. I woud know." He laughed, and shuttered his eyes back and forth.

Then he sniffed the air, and the hair running along his arms stood on end. "Do you smell that? It smells like... wet --"   

His eyes opened wider instinctively.                                                               

"-- dog."

 She's a werewolf. Life hates me. I wonder if she's noticed anything weird about me...

"Hey, um, Luh-nen, can I ask you something? Are you a w--"

He paused.

Well maybe I can tell her I know later. I don't want to ruin this. Not yet.

"I mean, 'Do you need me to show you around school?"

Lanen smiled and turned to Aaron and smiled. "Sure! That'd be great!" Then she turned to face the front, chuckling. "I cant smell, though the dog you smell might come from the house..."  She glanced over the drivers shoulder, still grinning, though a little annoyed. Did he really think she hadn't heard his hesitation and sudden word change?

Aaron thought he might accidentally have a blood lust episode then, but luckily, he made it to school.

"Well," He said, gripping the seat in fatal agony, "here we are."

He quickly jolted off the bus, ramming into the cheerleaders (with a wink) and the skaters when he finally made it to the ground, crashing on the hard cement.

"Not the best way to start off my day," he grumbled.

Lanen stepped off the bus and was immediately lost in the people. Using her small size as an advantage, she forced her way through to Aaron. She stifled a giggle. "Do you need some help?" she asked, grinning.

"Naw, I gots it..." Aaron said, still a bit freaked about her secret that wasn't told. He slowly rose himself.

I wonder if you know that I'm a vampire... He thought.

Aaron did his best winking at all the whisperers of the new girl. A lady's man at best. ((XD))

He thought of what happened earlier, and decided to play dumb. "So, Luh-nen, what kind of dog do you have?" He asked, rocking on his toes and heels, back and forth. "German Shepperd? Pitbull? Dalmatian? Husky? Retriever? Wolfhound?" He asked, way to fast to seem calm.

He realized his guard had been completely thrown off. "Such harsh words don't take kindly to wolves..." He smirked back, in a borderline way. Should he be upset or angry, or relieved? What did it mean that she knew his identity? Did that make their blossomin friendship completely void?

"Plus, I've only been like this maybe three months. It's not like I am a full-blown sucker. I'd rather die than strip life from an innocent human being. I've never dared drink blood before..." He heard himself pleading with her, trying to retain their pathetically twisted semi-friendship.

"Do we have to be enemies? Is it impossible for us to be... friends?" He quietly asked.

"Omg!" Aaron mused in a valley girl accent, "we have so much in common!"
He bowed his head down.

"I read the books, I'll admit.."

He smirked.

"But I was really hoping for Jacob's head to be ripped off." He laughed.

"Aw. Shame." Lanen laughed. "Though I probably would too, in your position. Do you sparkle?" She peered at Aaron as if expecting him to turn into one of those sparklers on the fourth of July.
