Jasmine sat on a tree branch in the form of a Griffin. The branch could only just take this form's weight, but Jasmine couldn't care less. If it broke she could just fly away.
She spotted a small deer nearby and felt hungry. She flexed her wings and watched it, ready to swoop in.
"Wait for it...wait for it..." she whispered. |

Spirit held her cowboy hat in her hand and sliped on her cowgirl boots with the other.She stood up from the binch and sighed. She looked around and started to walk towards the forrest, where the wind was calling her name, begging her to come. She held back and walked away from it, with a sigh of releife, like last time, she made a mstake and went in. She was lucky to get out.

Shadow took wing quickly and flew onto the branch of a tree and watched the boy. She couldn't fight back the urge to scare him so she roared loudly and dove at him from the tree,making sure to just barely miss him.

Jasmine, still in the form of a Griffin, swooped low and took the young deer by surprise. She quickly killed it and began eating it.
A small Hummingbird buzzed by, and Jasmine watched it flit past her and then she went back to eating the dead deer. |

Zack got scared enough he fell backward as soon as he heard Shadow. Kristi pulled him up, glaring at Shadow. "Shadow! You idiot! This is my best freind! How could you do that?!" Kristi sighed, walking back to her home back in the village. Zack stared at Shadow.

Shadow landed infront of Zack with a small,but weird sounding laugh and wrote in the dirt,"I'm sorry. I didn't mean to scare you that much." Then she looked at Kristi and smirked slightly.

Kristi's home was buried deep within the buildings, and it was about the size of an elephant. Kristi opened the door and walked inside, then sat down in a chair waiting for her parents to arrive.

Shadow slipped in the door before it closed and hid before Kristi even noticed she was there. She watched her closely and smirked as she silenced her breathing.

Kristi began reading her book, not even seeing Shadow. She adjusted her huge round glasses, writing notes on a different piece of paper. She was reading the chapter 'Disenchanting curses from birth'.

Shadow perked her ears and listened to the sounds inside the house,"What a strange place.",she thought in silence as she tried to remember the sounds of a regular human home.

A loud sound like a fog horn came from the center of town. "Town meeting." Kristi ran to grab a tool box full of disaster equipment and ran to the town meeting. There was going to be an earth quake in a few minutes, and everyone was advised to evacuate to higher ground. Zack, Kristi, and a few other orphaned children ran to their assigned places. They buckled themselves into seats on higher hills to keep them from falling. Kristi looked around for Shadow, and the village below began rumbling.

Shadow broke out of the window and completely forgot to take cover from other humans sight and ran straight up to Kristi,"Oh crap! I just lost my cover!"she thought to herself in silence as she worriedly looked at Kristi.

Kristi tossed a blanket over Shadow and put a human mask on her face. "Thats the best I can do. Pretend to be an old lady, Shadow. Don't worry, you'll make it." Zack stared at Shadow. "Isn't she supposed to be in the elders section?" Kristi shrugged. "Dunno. She looks little enough."

Kristi leaned over to Shadow. "Just pretend. It won't be too long." Zack leaned over to hear, but Kristi sat up with a stupid smile. "Don't worry, grandma, we'll make it! The town will be okay!"
