Rougeheart sat proudly with her kits beneath highrock.

"Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey gather beneath Highrock!" Sacredstar yowled. "I give these kits their apprentice names. Minkkit, you shall be known as Minkpaw. Tulipkit, you shall be named Tulippaw. Littlekit, you shall known as littlepaw. Dreamkit shall be known as Dreampaw. Spottedkit shall be known as Spottedpaw. moonkit shall be knowmn as Moonpaw!" She yowled. "I shall take on Spottedpaw, Feralclaw shall take Minkpaw, Hornetwing will take on Littlekit, Featherstorm shall take on Dreamkit, and applesong shall teach moonkit the ways of the medicine cat." She yowled and nuzzled each kit in turn.

Spottedpaw's jaw dropped and she barely held back a squeal of excitedment. The leader was her mentor!! She quivered proudly.

Minkpaw purred porudley.

Moonpaw sat nervously next to her new mentor.

Dreampaw sat tall with a smile.

Owlcomet winked at his kits from next to Rogueheart. 

Littlekpaw nervously scooted next to Hornetwing, giving her a small, sheepish smile.

Feralclaw smiled and padded over to Minkpaw, greeting her.

Tulippaw Bounced over to Hornetwing's sister, her new mentor.

 Sacredstar smiled and stepped down to meet spottepaw.

Hornetwing frowned at the young apprentice. "Come kit, we are training now." she said coldly, heading for the training hollow with her tail raised.

((In her mind, you're a kit until you prove yourself. :P))

Serpentwing smiled weakly at her apprentice, pretty nervous. "Congratgulations Tulippaw, where do you want to train first?" she asked.

Minkpaw smiled shyly, not sure what to say to his mentor.

Spottedpaw squealed and ran in a quick circle. "What can we do first?!" she squealed. "I want to hunt, battle, battle, hunt and hunt and battle!" she squealed, still running in circles. 

Littlepaw gave a small growl at being called a kit, but followed obediantly.

Tulippaw bounced around with excitment. "I get to pick?" She Mewed, her tail up. "I want to hunt." She meowed, smling.

Feralclaw smiled. "No need to be nervous, Minkpaw." He meowed and brushed his tail over his back. "I suggest starting with hunting, don't you?"

Sacredstar chuckled and watched as The little apprentice ran in circles. She looked a little dizzy after awhile and plopped onto her rump. "Spottedpaw, please stop running!" She giggled. "Well then. Why don't we start with battle training?"

"Yes!" Spottedpaw said excitedly, standing up again and bouncing.

"Okay then Tulippaw, follow me, we'll head to Adder Hills, they'll be in their dens this time of year" Serpentbreeze said, her tail twitching. "Hey Feralclaw, we're going up to Adder Hills, want to come with Minkpaw?"

Minkpaw smiled. "Can we go Feralclaw? Pleaase?"

"Okay kit, show me what you know about battling" Hornetwing ordered, sitting across from her apprentice. 

Sacredstar smiled and chukcled, waving her tail as a sign to follow. She got to the training clearing and sat a ways away from Hornetwing. "Show me what you can do."

Tulippaw bounced with excitement, her whole body quivering. "I can't wait!" She mewed happily.

Feralclaw looked thoughtful, and then nodded. "Of course." He meowed and smiled.

Littlepaw lowered himself to the ground and growled lowly, baring his teeth, but he wouldn't bite or scratch Really. Training you didn't actually cause damage, usually. He lashed his tail and sprang at Hornetwing at the least expected time he could think of, but instead of scoring a hit on Hornetwing's shoulder, his paws flailed desperately.

Hornetwing lifted her paw skywards to catch Littlepaw, slamming him to the ground roughly. "That has potential to be a clever move- for a larger cat, try something that will take advantage of my size and of yours." she ordered.

Minkpaw purred, leaning against Tulipkit fo a bit before they went forward. "I'll bet my first catch will be bigger than yours!" he said eagerly.

Spottedpaw licked her lips to think of something that would impress her leader. She droped into a hunter's crouch and darted under Sacredstar, twisting onto her back as she slid, grabbing her mentor's tail with her front paws and scraping up with sheathed back claws. 

"Nu-Uh!" Tulippaw yipped and playfully batted at the air.

Sacredstar gave a surprised mrow and flipped onto her back, knocking Spottedpaw off her tail. She quickly got to her feet and pinned Spottedpaw. "That was good, but be careful. This could be your death scene if encountered by an enemy cat." She meowed and got off the apprentice.

Littlepaw slammed into the ground and yelped at first at the sudden move, but quickly got up, unharmed. He backed up to where he was before and thought about what to do. Suddenly and broke into a sprint and ran under hornetwing, zipping between his legs and criss-crossing, every time changing direction and finally scoring a good hit to her back leg.

"Not bad for a kit" Hornet wing said, stumbling a bit as he attacked, but she quickly regained her balance. "Try a frontal blow this time."

Spottedpaw quivered with excitement, her eyes glowing. "Can I practice that move again?" she asked excitedly. "I think I can avoid being pinned if I do it right!"

"Yes-huh!" Minkpaw argued. 

Tulippaw playfully batted at Minkpaw, but stopped when they got to the hunting area. Sh sniffed, and then dropped to a crouch, stalking a fat squirrel munching on a nut.

Sacredstar nodded. "Yes, you may."

Littlepaw smiled. "Thank you." He squeaked and backed up again, planning his next move. He then started running for Hornetwing's right leg, but switched at the last moment to the left leg. But the sudden switch he didn't know was going to feel so fast, and he ended up running right into Hornetwing's leg.

Hornetwing neatly jumped over the tumbling apprentice. "Make up your mind in the beginning" she advised. "Don't make up your mind"

Minkpaw licked his lips, then smiled mischievously. He yowled loudly, scaring the squirrel away. 

Tulippaw Growled and whipped around, tackling into Minkpaw. "Stop it!" Feralclaw snapped menacingly. "We do not catch prey to see who is best, we catch it to survive!" He snarled, scolding Minkpaw roughly.

Tulippaw Got off and lowered her head, going back to hunting with her tail down.

Littlepaw nodded. "I will." He meowed and thought again. He had already used all th moves he knew. 'I'll make up one!' He thought and ran as fast as he could. But instead of running into Hornetwing, he jumped over her, barely missing her head, whipped around, and ran under her. He put his head down and rammed Hard into her left leg.

Sacredstar yowled and reared onto her back legs, jumping on her back and barely missing Spottedpaw, as she would have broke one of his bones. "I missed you for a reason. Right now with how small you are, that could have also been your death." She meowed.

Minkpaw hung his head. "Sorry, I was just playing." he mumbled, shuffling his paws.

Serpentbreeze licked Tulippaw's forehead. "Don't worry, there's more prey in the forest." 

~Forgot the others again. XD -fail-~

Spottedpaw bit her lip. "Sorry Sacredstar, but I was good, right?" she asked with a bounce.

"Ouch!" Hornetwing snarled, curling up her leg. "Nicely done Littlepaw, but we still have some work to do." 

Littlepaw smiled and climbed out from under her. He nodded.

Sacredstar nodded and smiled. "I think we should try some new ones, though. Attack me."

Tulippaw lifted her head up and smiled at her mentor, then nodding and enthusiasticly smelling the air again.

Feralclaw sighed and calmed down. "Now, no more scaring off prey. why don't you look around in the gr*censored* over there?" He meowed gently and pointed to a patch of tall gra.ss.
