Spottedpaw thought of a new move and smiled. She dashed towards Sacredstar, keeping low to the ground for speed. She ran right past her right flank, but before she p*censored*ed, she jumped sideways and then pawed at her flank, dodging away quickly before she could round on her.

"Now, a good move to use is a frontal attack, be careful never to stand on your hind legs in a battle, it is too dangerous to expose your belly, however it is useful for badgers." Hornetwing said. "When you attack a cat, you want to stay low to the ground and swipe up at his or her chin, now imagine I'm an attacking cat." Hornetwing bent low to the ground, fixing her gaze on Littlepaw with a hiss. Her tail ashed and she prepared for his strike. 

Sacredstar was caught off-guard, but was going to use a trick of her own. She flopped onto her back, exposing her tummy like she was almost defeated. Her eyes were shut.

Littlepaw nodded, soaking in everything she said. He hissed back, lowering himself to the ground and lashing his tail. He suddenly bolted foward, growling. He seemed just like a white blob as he suddenly sprang, able to score a good hit on hornetwing's cheek, but he flailed again and fell onto his back.

"Oh my gosh!" Spottedpaw screeched. "I killed Sacredstar!"

"Good job" Hornetwing said. "Try again." 

"Thank you." He murmured quietly and nodded, picking himself up and returning to his spot. He ignored Spottedpaw's screech as he crouched again, going to attempt the same move one more time.

Sacredstar was smiling in her mind. 'My plan will work.' She thought and waited a bit, before suddenly springing up and easily pinning Spottedpaw. She put her jaws to her neck, but didn't do anything. She put her head back up and smiled. "You can't kill a leader with 5 lives left that easily." She chuckled. "Now, don't fall for that trick in actual battle."

"Heyyy!" Spottedpaw wailed. "That's not fair!"

Hornetwing dodged out of the way and unbalanced Littlepaw with a shove. "Balance your weight on all four of your paws, not just the front ones." 

((Forgot. xd also, who is Dreamkit's mentor? xD))

Sacredstar got off of her. "It's training, you need to get used to it. Now, I'm sure your hungry and tired." She meowed and turned to head back to camp.

((Ummmmmmmmm- I think it's Featherstomr. :P))

"I'm not tired at all!" Spottedpaw exclaimed. "Well, I suppose I'm hungry though" She followed Sacredstar. 

Hornetwing rolled onto her back, squishing Littlepaw and leaving him on the ground. "Time to go back to camp then, eat and rest, we'll hunt tomorrow"

Sacredstar headed back into to camp.

Littlepaw yelped and lay there, limp. He slowly opened one eye, his whole body hurting. "Urk...." He struggled to get to his paws, his legs shaking. He slowly followed her, but he trailed far behind.

"Keep it for yourself." Hornetwing meowed. "I ate before we started"

Minkkit emerged from the brush with a fresh-caught mouse. "Okay! I'm ready!" Minkkit mumbled through his catch. 

"Really?" He meowed and smiled up at her, taking a bite of the vole. "Thank you!"

Tulippaw trotted behind her mentor triumphantly, holding her mouse. Minkpaw's mouse was bigger though. She set it down long enough to meow "Scrawmier ones are harder to catch because they can run faster."

"Don't mention it" Hornetwing purred, heading to the warriors den for a rest.

"Yeah, well fat prey tastes better, so it doesn't matter" Minkpaw purred proudly, 

Littlepaw purred, happy that his new mentor liked him. He eagerly ate up the vole, soon feeling sleepy. He yawned and almost went into the nursery. "I'm an apprentice." He told himself and padded into the Apprentice's den nervously. He was tiny compared to the other cats in there. He made himself a bed in the corner and slumped into it, soon falling asleep in a comfortable stretching position.

Tulippaw rolled her eyes and picked her mouse back up. She dropped it onto the fresh-kil pile. She picked out a plump robin and brought it over to Minkpaw to share.

Spottedpaw took a piece of prey from the pile, a nice fat vole and brought it over to Sacredstar. "Wanna share?" she asked.

Minkpaw saw Dreampaw arrive in camp and smiled. "Hey Dreampaw! Wanna share this robin with me and Tulippaw?" he asked politely.

"That'd be great" Dreampaw replied thankfully. "Featherstorm sent me out to collect moss all day with Applesong and Moonpaw, since she can only come out in the night."

"That's no fun. Tulippaw and I went hunting, Littlepaw and Spottedpaw did battle, but I think lazy old Littlepaw is in the apprentice's den sleeping all ready" Minkpaw said. "I caught a bigger mouse than  Tulippaw!" he bragged proudly.

"So? I'll bet my first catch will be bigger than both of yours." Dreampaw purred teasingly. "How about instead of taking your robin, I go and get a mouse and share it with Moonpaw, that way we can all discuss our first day?" she asked.

"That sounds great!" Minkpaw purred. "You could have the one I caught!" 

Tulippaw had already greedily begun chomping down on it, barely taking notice of Dreampaw with a tiny 'Hello.'

Sacredstar smiled. "Sure." She meowed and padded over. "You did good today."
