Lightwave's eyes glistened angrily. "Let's trade places, then you can even begin to tell me you're under pressure!" Lightwave yowled.

"Lightwave, there are still three more kits to come" Applesong said gently. "You need to relax, pay no mind to the toms." Seeing the dire situation, she cast silencing glances to Owlcomet and Feralclaw and put a damp, warm moss ball over her eyes and hummed softly.

The next pair of kits were born, two she-kits, both chestnut brown, but one had a little white fleck on her chest. They came at the same time, and looked very similar. Twins. Applesong took the kit without the fleck first and licked her clean, but by the time she got to the second, the kit was very weak. Panicked thoughts rushed through her head, but she remained calm and cleaned the kit, even though it was already dead from suffocation. Too long in the womb after labor had started. "Take her to my den for Moonpaw" Applesong whispered to Owlcomet. "It could be an omen from Starclan about the kits.

Owlcomet nodded gravely and took the little dead kit, already growing cold like death. He gently went into the medicine cat's den and put it in front of Moonpaw.

Moonpaw gazed at the dead kit in horror. "Wh-" she began.

"Lightwave's kit-birthing is going slow, there has been a casualty" Owlcomet explained sadly. "Applesong wanted you to keep it for her later so she could look for omens before the burial."

Moonpaw dipped her head, nosing the kit hopefully, hoping there had been a mistake. Feeling the little cold body, she sighed, tucking the kit into a moss bed far from Rogueheart and Littlepaw.

Lightwave's last kit was white and very fluffy for a newborn kit. It squealed loudly. It was a large, healthy kit, and took in great gasps of air as soon as it could; a good sign. Applesong set the last kit next to Lightwave and licked her ear. "You're done, love, rest now." she whispered, removing the moss to reveal Lightwave's half closed eyes.

"Wait, I want to name them" Lightwave said softly.

"Alright, go ahead"

"I should have four, so they will be Rosekit, Acornkit, Rasberrykit and Whitekit, in respect to their birth order." Lightwave said.

Applesong frowned. "If that is so, then Rasberrykit is dead"

Lightwave nodded and purred, to tired to even have acknowledged. She curled around her three kits and fell asleep purring, paying no more attention to anything.

"Feralclaw, come with me" Applesong hissed. "Don't say a word until we're out of the nursery."

((I changed my mind, make Whitekit blind, not deaf. Deaf kits get carried away by eagles. XD))

Adderstorm nodded. "Alright, lead the way Ravenwing" 

((Gosh! XD Okie.))

Feralclaw had tears in his eyes. He nuzzled his kits, then left Lightwave to rest. He followed Applesong. "Yes?" He asked quietly, his tail down an ashamed.

Acornkit melwed loudly, but quieted down as he found his suckle spot.

Whitekit made no noise.

Ravenwing nodded and trotted out of camp. She krept under bushes and blinked, smelling a vole. "Vole...." She whispered.

"Mine!" Frostbreath said softly, dropping to the ground and blending in to the undergrowth. He used his senses to target the vole and then pounced, killing it with a swift, tasty, bite to the neck before it could make a sound. He lifted his head happily, his jaws full of his catch.

"Squirrel" Adderstorm said, silencing Frostbreath's purr.

"Rasberrykit is dead, you must tell Lightwave when she's rested. She'll count her kits and know something's wrong, and then you'll tell her." Applesong said bluntly. She sighed, tired and moody from her work. "I'm sorry Feralclaw, I know it is your loss as well." She padded into the medicine cat's den, motioning for him to follow. "Moonpaw, where is the kit?" she asked.

Moonpaw nodded to the moss bed that contained little Rasberrykit. "Over there." she answered.

"Did you get any message from Starclan?"

"Not one" Moonpaw said, dipping her head in shame. 

Applesong went over and nosed through Rasberrykit's fur. And then she saw it. There was three tiny thorns in her belly fur, though there had been none in the nursery, and none in the medicine cats den. She parted the fur so everyone could see the thorns. They were lodged in her skin, and they looked like mountains with sharp peaks close up. "It's a sign." she said.

"What does it mean?" Moonpaw asked.

"I have no idea." Applesong replied. "Prepare her for burial, we have got the message, Feralclaw, could you go and fetch Sacredstar? and also have one of the apprentices clean Lightwave's bedding."

Rosekit huddled close to her siblings, fll of milk before falling asleep soundly. 

Feralclaw stood in shock. He couldnt.... Didn't want to believe what he just heard. He hurried to the medicine cat den to see his kit. He nuzzled the tiny newborn and gave a low moan of agony. The rotten smell of death was already on the kit. He licked it, like it would suddenly start breathing, and jump up squealing 'Daddy!'. He closed his eyes. "My kit..... nonono....." He whispered and didn't hear Applesong's order at first. He slowly backed out of the den and called for Sacredstar.

Tulippaw had also been called and lazily walked out to the Med. cat den, having no idea what tragedy had happend.

Sacredstar galloped out and into Applesong's den. She stopped and sniffed the kit, then noticing the thorns. She lowered her head.

Ravenwing sniffed and noticed a crow asleep on a low treebranch. She backed up, and jumped, grabbing the bird and biting it's neck.

"Do you know what it means?" Applesong asked, licking Rasberrykit's fur flat.

Moonpaw padded up to her sister. "Tulippaw, you should go to the nursery and change Lightwave's bedding, she kitted earlier today, and Feralclaw didn't seem to go and get someone."

Adderstorm hunted two more mice and the squirrel, and Frostbreath had the vole and another chaffinch before the patrol headed home 

Tulippaw nodded and turned, trotting off to the nursery. She walked in and quietly changed the bedding of the sleeping Lightwave.

Sacredstar Had a dark ex
pression. "Starclan has sent us a message. Those kits.... They are not ordinary. I will speak with Starclan tomorrow." She meowed.

Ravenwing had been unlucky until the way back to camp when she got a fat vole. She held both of them in her mouth.

"I must go as well" Applesong stated. "We can leave Hornetwing in charge of camp when we're gone, and Moonpaw in charge of medicines."

~FAIL~ 

Sacredstar nodded.

((Time-skip to next morning?))

Feralclaw lay by the sleeping Lightwave. His eyes were red. He hadn't slept all night. He had stayed up, thinking about Raspberrykit and how to tell Lightwave.... Though he knew she would wake up, as he saw her stir.

Littlepaw had woken up and saw Moonpaw. "Muh-Moonpaw....? Can I see...... Hornetwing?" She asked tiny, raspy voice. He closed his eyes again in pain, he had choked out those words. He just wanted to see his mentor.

Sacredstar had already left camp.

Tulippaw bounced out of Her den, still unaware of what happend. "Where's Serpentbreeze?" She asked, eager to start training.

Lightwave yawned, half-purring when she felt her furry little kits sleeping next to her. She blinked open her eyes and licked Feralclaw's ear. "You look like you just saw a ghost, are you alright?" she asked.

Rosekit mewled loudly when her mother shifted, and blindly tumbled over her siblings to sitt right between Feralclaw and Lightwave.

 Lightwave chuckled softly, and moved Rosekit back to her belly. She blinked as she counted the kits. "Where's my other kit?" she asked, terror rising into her chest. She looked at Feralclaw "Do you have her?"

Moonpaw licked her brother's ear. "I'll send her in after she's done with patrols, she's busy this morning with Applesong and Sacredstar both leaving to share tongues with Starclan."

Serpentbreeze purred, licking the top of Tulippaw's head. "We're probably patrolling with Hornetwing this morning, are you fed?" she asked.

Hornetwing peeked into the medicine cat den. "Is Littlepaw awake?" she asked softly. "I want to see him before I go on patrol."

Moonpaw sighed. "He's awake,  but try not to make him talk too much, he is very weak." Moonpaw said, turning around to walk with Applesong to the edge of camp, where she left at a run to catch up with Sacredstar.

"How are you Littlepaw?" Hornetwing asked, padding in to sit beside her apprentice.

Applesong trotted up to Sacredstar, panting from the run. "Don't wait for me or anything" she said playfully.  

Feralclaw closed his eyes painfully. "Ligfhtwave...... Raspberrykit..... Is dead....." He whispered and cringed.

Tulippaw nodded very quickly and bounced around. "My first patrol!"

Littlepaw's eyes opened at the smell of Hornetwing. His eyes lightened up and he gave a small, painful smile. "Everything... hurts...." He mumbled, but clearly looked happy to see her.

Sacredstar laughed at Applesong, then broke into a full-on sprint, playing around with Applesong.

Lightwave frowned. Her heart sank to the bottom of her chest. "Oh..." she said softly, her tail swishing sadly. "At least she is with Starclan, and we have three other wonderful kits. Acornkit, Snowkit and Rosekit."

Serpentbreeze playfully swiped Tulippaw's ear. "Oh hush, it's really not very fun at all."

Hornetwing purred. "That's good, it mean's you're not completely broken."

Applesong growled playfully, and bunched up her muscles to race after Sacredstar. She ran in great leaps with a long stride, panting with effort and joy. She hadn't run so hard since she was a kit; it tired her now. Her slim body helped her stream alongside Sacredstar's side. 

((Whitekit.))

Feralclaw lowered his head in sorrow, but nodded, accepting her uplifting spirit.

Tluippaw yelped and growled, jumping at Serpentbreeze's paw and smacking it, but she landed on her back. She got up and sat down.

Littlepaw coughed a bit, and smiled up at Hornetwing. "Yeah..." He mumbled quietly.

Sacredstar smiled and laughed, running as fast as she could. She hadn't ran this way in awhile, or even had fun this way. She started panting and huffed, slowing down a bit.

Imma make Rocketrage appear. :P))

Rocketrage watched the medicine cat and leader of Cloudclan, his tail flicking without amusement. His eyes glowed with faint hunger and he jumped down in front of the pair. "Well well, what have we here?"

Applesong's claws dug into the ground as she stopped, expressing her anxiety. She looked at Sacredstar nervously, her tail swishing in distress.

Hornetwing purred softly in encouragement. "You'll make it out of this Littlepaw, and you'll be a warrior." she promised. She turned to leave to set up a dawn patrol before sun-high. "I'll come again right after patrol" 

((Haha, You just can't let them have fun togethr without a fight? lD))

Littlepaw smiled up at his mentor. "T-Thank you..." He whispered, happy she would come back to see him.

Sacredstar's fur spiked and she hissed in alarm. "Haven't you caused enough problems for this forest?" She snarled at him, tail lashing.

((:P Fun is boring. XD))

Rocketrage chuckled. "You may think you scare me" Rocketrage said, "But you don't. What you call 'trouble' I call hunting" he said, a wicked smile growing at the corners of his mouth.

"Alright!" Hornetwing said loudly, trotting into the center of camp. "Serpentbreeze, you will lead a patrol this morning, it's overcast, so take Featherstorm and Dreampaw with you, and take Owlcomet as well, he needs to make himself useful for something other than sitting on his butt next to Rogueheart." Hornetwing paused, making sure her sister was listening. "I will lead a hunting patrol down through the pine tree forest with Tulippaw, one apprentice on patrol is enough."

"Alright Hornetwing" Serpentbreeze said, a little dismayed. "Don't worry Tulipaw, I'll try and take you for evening patrol"

Applesong's tail twitched nervously, not sure what to say to the mad vampire cat.

Tulippaw lowered her head and let her tail fall down, but nodded and looked up.

Sacredstar narrwed her eyes at the cat and flexed her claws. "Let us through. There are plenty of Kittypets to eat." She hissed at him and flicked Appelsong as a sign to not show fear.

Rocketrage laughed. "Why would I go after lazy, bad-tasting prey when a pair of lean, sweet-blooded cats are standing right in front of me? Sounds pretty mouse-brained to me"

"Add it to the list of things you do that are mouse-brained, it'll fit right in" Applesong said bravely, her tail lashing in fake confidence.

Rocketrage glared at Applesong breifly, but otherwise ignored her comment. "It doesn't matter anyway," he said, sitting down.

Applesong's tail twitched curiously.

"Bloodclan is falling apart" Rocketrage admitted, staring Sacredstar in the face. "Three little volcano things just sprouted in our camp and erupted. There was no place to shelter for the night, only a few of us still live. Even Crowstar is dead."

((owo I think this should be the prophecy. If it's not alright I'll switcheroo it. :) Bloodclan's leader fell, and then the rest of Bloodclan try and join Cloudclan. But it doesn't work. One of the vampires finds a new place for their territory and they leave, and Featherstorm goes with them because she missed Icewing, who was like a mother to her. Dreampaw is torn up. She sneaks after them secretly with her siblings (?). She thinks that they can bring Featherstorm back, and, they change her mind without being killed by any of the other vampires. :3 They get home and become warriors except for poor Littlepaw, because he was the voice of reason and didn't want to go, because he wanted to prove himself to Hornetwing. Either that, or they didn't tell him because he was in the med. cat's den. So after they become warriors, Lightwave's kits become apprentices. :D Then the REAL prophecy begins. I think Acornpaw should be the troublemaker, because it's her twin who's in Starclan (Rasberrykit). Acornpaw should have the power to see Rasberrykit, and they secretly train together. Except Rasberrykit will know old moves from ancient warriors, and she'll teach Acornpaw to be the best warrior. Acornpaw is so talented that she is made a warrior earlier than her siblings and even poor Littlepaw. Rosepaw and Whitepaw are jealous and then don't want to talk to her anymore. Acornpaw, or whatever her warrior name is, blames Rasberrykit, who, I remind you, never aged since she died. So she takes being yelled at very terribly and there's a huge storm. The other Starclan cats are unable to stop her, so Acornpaw has to take her siblings to the Moonfalls to talk to her before she destorys the forest.

Serpentbreeze licked Tulippaw's forehead. "Cheer up, you need to work on your hunting too." She stretched and trotted over to Featherstorm.

"Dreampaw" Featherstorm called into the apprentice's den.

Dreampaw padded out, bright-eyed. "What's up Featherstorm?" she asked.

"Change of plans, dawn patrol this morning, ready?" Featherstorm asked.

"Ready as I'll ever be" Dreampaw said, trotting after Serpentbreeze and Featherstorm as they went on patrol.
