Gingerstorm moaned in attempt of replying. Energy was failing her. It left her faster than the kits were born. One, two. Her head rested on the ground. "Swiftkit and Clawkit" she coughed out in a pleading, desperate voice. She breathed faster, matching her heart rate, which soon dropped to a deadly one beat per second... and then less. Gingerstorm slipped out of consciousness- the last thing she could feel were her two kits pressed against her failing body. She let out a huff of relief as the burden of life fled her weakening body for good.

"She is with Starclan now" Lynxclaw managed to choke, pulling each of his kits closer to him.

Adderstorm watched in horror as life left his mother- the only thing he had in common with his half-sister, Ravenwing. There was nothing to keep their family together anymore. Nothing. 

Ravenwing's jaw looked unhinged, then she lowered her head and flattend her ears. Sadness overwhelmed her. "Who will nurse the kits?" She asked worriedly, then turned on Rocketrage. Her face was twisting in a most ugly fashion, a mix of woe and Anger. "Why didn't you do this sooner? You could have saved her!" She tried to hiss but it came out a desperated cry as her claws dug into the ground.

Spiritmoon looked away. She could nurse them, her kits had only gone off milk about a moon ago, and she still had some. "I'm so sorry, Lynxclaw... Gingerstorm was a brave, noble cat with a heart of gold. I'm sure she now watches over us in Starclan."

((Oh, and Scarstar wasn't born evil. His twisted mentor made him that way. :P Kind of like Tigerstar in Bluestar's prophecy.))

((Well, Tigerstar was born evil. He always took advantage of Whitekit/storm, and even hurt him once when they were playing I believe. Though I know what you mean.))

"Spiritmoon, you have kits, can you still nurse?" Lynxclaw asked desperately.  Swiftkit and Clawkit were mewling their heads off.

Rocketrage didn't know how to reply to that. He dipped his head in half-sorrow. He wasn't sad for a queen he barely knew. 

Spiritmoon dipped her head. "Yes, I can." She said softly, then slowly layed down. She was still sad, even though she didn't know Gingerstorm that much. "Did she speak their names? Clawkit and Swiftkit?" Sh asked softly, not wanting to upset the sad tom, but wanting to know their names. She noticed one of the kits looked oddly like Scastar, only... Innocent, and kind.

Ravenwing no longer had the strength to argue with Rocketrage, even though he wasn't himself. She looked away, weeping quietly.

Lynxclaw nodded but didn't reply. He held the kits close, not wanting to give them up. He nudged them closer to Spiritmoon carefully. Oh, how he wished Gingerstorm was here!

Rocketrage's tail twitched. The little part of him that still had emotion wanted to comfort Ravenwing, but he didn't. He turned and paced out of the nursery to stand guard. 

The squealing kits slowly quieted down as  they began to nurse. Spiritmoon lay her head down. "At least you still have her 2, beautiful kits." She said softly, trying and failing horribly to comfort Lynxclaw.

Ravenwing said nothing, but stopped. She sat still, head hanging. it appeared she wasn't even breathing. Then, she turned, and light-footedly stepped out of the nursery.

((Bump?(: HI!!!! Magically, I am back again! I had completley forgot about this website(due to me doing homework, getting into sports, friends, blahblahblah) but then one day someone brought up the idea of roleplaying which reminded me of rescreatu!:D I'm extremley suprised this has gotten so far as a 1x1 roleplay! Over 1,000 posts, and I probably only made 20 of them lol.
           But on the other hand, I highly doubt I could possibly get back into this roleplay, considering theres a whole new plot(which sounds good, by the way) and lots of changes seem to have happened. I tried catching up and reading this, buuuut there's a ton of pages, only one of me, and very small print which means it would take forever to read and what not:P. Plus, I haven't roleplayed in a very long time, I forgot most of the rules to roleplaying, and tons of other reasons I could think of lol. I'll probably just start a new roleplay and you guys can continue this one(or I can hunt down my extremley old Warrior Cats RPG, if it's even still here O.O).

"You mean four" Lynxclaw corrected, looking at Ravenwing and Adderstorm. "They are kin of hers as well, though Adderstorm doesn't belong to me."

Adderstorm smiled warmly, probably for the first time since becoming a warrior. "Thank you Lynxclaw, Spiritmoon." he purred.

Rocketrage's ears pricked and he followed Ravenwing quietly out of the den. His ears were flat, and his tail low. When she stopped, he cleared his throat, trying not to scare her. "Is there anything I can do?" he asked politely, his tail swishing humbly.

Spiritmoon gave a weak smile. "I consider you all family." She said softly, raising her head up to look at Adderstorm with a small smile on her face. "I'm glad this does not hld you all back from the good truth that all her kits will survive, Although I wish I could say the same for Ravenwing." She sighed softly.

Ravenwing sat down, back to the Vampire. She cried silently, motionless. After a few minutes, his question caused her to slowly turn around. Her face was forlorn, distant. Her voice shaky, she spoke, "If you can protect my mothers kits... Make sure they survive..." She paused to gulp in some air. "If you will protect my friend, and my mother's kits, until they are old enough to move..."
