"Are we going to leave soon? This place smells funny" Swiftkit said, staring up at his father.

"It smells like blood young kit," Rocketrage said, not warmly. "Get used to it if we are going to Cloudclan."

Swiftkit shivered. For some reason, he was always intimidated by Rocketrage. Lynxclaw had murmured things about Rocketrage in his sleep, something about a cat named Gingerstorm as well. Swiftkit supposed that Gingerstorm was his mother, too, that much he had pieced together by the conversations of the older cats. He sat down by Ironkit and Ghostkit. They were pretty nice to him, and were really fun to be around. They were about apprentice age too. Of course, they weren't as cool as Ravenwing and Adderstorm. He could hardly believe that they were his siblings, well, Adderstorm was only his half-sibling, but he supposed it was just a fancy way of saying 'still a brother'.

Lynxclaw cast a sharp glare at Rocketrage. "Yes, we have been planning this for almost a moon now. This way, no cat has t carry your fat little bodies" he teased playfully, giving each kit a lick on the ear. "Now, what's the rule?"

Swiftkit sighed. "We are to close our eyes and be carried out of the den, and not open them until we're told." he said with a bored tone.

"That's right, and why do you do this?" Lynxclaw prompted.

"Because there are scary things out there, and curiosity killed the cat," Swiftclaw continued.

"The leader of Rockclan to be exact" Rocketrage mumbled under his breath.

"Are we ready to go?" Adderstorm asked, licking his lips clean of the last bit of fresh kill from his breakfast. 

Spiritmoon was laying on her side, thankful that they were finally going, but her body felt like a rock. She rolled over and got up, blinking and nodding at Swiftkit. "Good. And Clawkit?"

Clawkit was huddled in the corner. He hated the smell they called 'blood'. He was thankful they were leaving, but he didn't know what 'Cloudclan' was. He hoped it was a place that didn't smell like blood. His ears perked up as His supposed mother called to him. "I was listening." He said, turning around and giving a crooked smile, tilting his head. "Mom, will you carry me? I couldn't sleep much last night." He yawned, trying to convince her.

Sighing, Spiritmoon crouched near the ground again. "Get up here, you two, or four."

Ironkit sat down on his rump. "No way, I'm a big strong warrior! I can carry myself!" He stuck out his tongue at his mother.

Ghostkit shuffled her paws, but instead of that distant face she always had, there was a tiny smile on her face. Swiftkit and Clawkit really had an effect on her, although she still got distant at times. She claims that Starclan cats visit her. Ghostkit nodded and slowly crawled up onto her back.

Clawkit grinned and yipped as she bounded up to her, taking a seat next to the base of one of her feathery wings. "Come on Swiftkit!!!"

Spiritmoon lightly cuffed Ironkit. "Oh, did I knock over thr big strong warrior?" She said in a gentle, but giggly tone as she lifted him up and put him on her back. "I know you'll be whining within a few minutes."

"Don't baby them Spiritmoon" Lynxclaw croaked, his voice creaky with distaste. "Carry only one kit, there are plenty of warriors, and we'll have none of you making us look bad" he said, trying to be playful. It didn't work. He had never really liked Spiritmoon, Gingerstorm's sister or not. He didn't trust her completely caring for his kits. They didn't really need to be nursed any longer, and he thought it was wrong for Spiritmoon to let Clawkit and Swiftkit believe she was their mother, and if they thought it through so much, his mate.

Adderstorm smiled. No cat could frown at playful kits. "I can carry someone" he volunteered happily, smiling at Clawkit and Swiftkit.

"You see?" Lynxclaw said, ending his train of thought. He scooped up Swiftkit with a smile.

"He's right" Rocketrage said. "If you were to carry all four, and then fly ahead, it would attract attention of birds of prey and the likes of them. Not to mention other vampires. Kit blood is a delicacy among us," he said honestly. "There is no way you would be able to protect against danger whilst carrying four kits-" Rocketrage paused, "not without dropping someone."

Swiftkit shivered with unease. It was easy to forget that Rocketrage was a vampire, and at every moment, he was volunteering every ounce of his self control not to kill them all in their sleep.

"You haven't been hunting in a while, have you?" Adderstorm said with a frown. Rocketrage was silent and he bit his lip. "Why don't you go find some food and meet us in Cloudclan?"

Rocketrage frowned. "I don't want to leave you. One vampire protecting everyone is like insurance, two is a safer company." he said.

"Unless one of them is starving and surrounded by 'delicacies'," Adderstorm insisted. "Go eat, we'll be find. A fox is no match for us.

((Omg! I think they should find Angeltouch dead at the rendezvous point, and Hailtwist and Heronstrike missing. :3 Suspicioussss.... I also forgot about the situation currently in Cloudclan. *pauses the kit story*))

Minkclaw poked his head into Sacedstar's den nervously. "Sacredstar..." he said softly, half-hoping that she was asleep. "I'd like to apologize for..." he paused, "For breaking the rules. Featherstorm arrived, as promised." Minkclaw paused again. "I'll... be leaving the clan shortly."

Owlcomet snored softly in the warriors den with Rogueheart by his side. He wasn't sure if she was asleep or awake. Probably awake, because vampires don't need sleep. He heard a smal twig snap at the entrance to the warriors den and snapped open his eyes. A grin spread across his face. "Featherstorm!" he said, running up to nuzzle his bloodied sister.

Featherstorm gave an uneasy purr, smiling at Owlcomet and Rogueheart. "Where's Lightwave?" she asked. "I heard that her kits are apprenticed, I would love to meet them!"

"I'm over here" purred Lightwave, finally waking up. "Rosepaw, Whitepaw and Acornpaw are out touring the territory" she said. 

((I feel bad, Spiritmoon would basically be a wreck. XD))

Spiritmoon looked concerned. She shared Lynxclaw's fretting, and decided to tell the kits. "Swiftkit, Clawkit, come here please." She said softly, motioning to herself. She shook Ghostkit and Ironkit off her back and then pulled them close. "I believe it's time I confessed to something and told you two the whole story."

Clawkit tilted his head, listening carefully.

She sighed, looking to Lynxclaw, then to the kits. "When you were born, camp was a wreck. And in that qwreck, was your real mother, Gingerstorm. She was lynxclaw's mate. She would have been a wonderful mother to you kits. Although, she died when she gave birth to you two. I took on the responsibility of caring for you. I don't think It is fair to keep this from you any longer."

Clawkit gasped. Being his gullible self, he had mostly forgot about what he and swiftkit pieced together. Tears brimmed his eyes, and he looked away. He buried his head into his stepmother's flank.

Spiritmoon looked gloomy. "I'm sorry. Gingerstorm is up in Starclan, with every other good cat that has pas.sed. Even great old Bluestar is up there, watching over her. She is protecting you, watching you right now."

Sacredstar lifted her head. "No. I wish for you to stay in camp." She said gently, only her glowing blue eyes visible. "Come here, Minkclaw." She beckoned him with invisible paws.

Rougeheart was resting when she heard Featherstorm. Almost immediantly she bolted upright and nuzzled her. "I'm so glad your here." She purred.

Minkclaw bit his tongue and cautiously approached his leader. He sat down carfully and nervously in front of her, his tail swishing with unease. 

Featherstorm purred and nuzzled Rogueheart. "Thank you," she said. "Has littlepaw healed yet?" she asked.

Owlcomet shook his head. "No, he's still bruised and banged, but it's only a matter of time, I've been told."

"That's nice, is Hornetwing still his mentor?" Featherstorm asked.

"Of course I am!" snapped Hornetwing coming out of the darkness of the warrior's den. "You  don't think I would abandon my apprentice just because he's hurt!"

Featherstorm twitched with unease. "Sorry..." she said.

Rougeheart gave an amused purr at Hornetwing. "Oh calm down, She was only asking."  She flicked her tail and smiled at Featherstorm.

Sacredstar was silent for a few minutes. "I was not fair. You see, I have not been in the greatest mood today. It is a very special day that I don't get to celebrate anymore." She mewed softly.

Swiftkit dipped his head in pride at his adopted mother. No matter how much he wanted to believe Spiritmoon was his mother, he knew in his heart that it couldn't be. He had bright ginger fur, and Lynxclaw was a black cat. Spiritmoon was marmalade- a different color all together. Well, not a completely different color, they were close, but it wasn't the same. Swiftkit looked up at Spiritmoon. It really seemed to hurt her to say this. Maybe she just longed to have kits longer, since Ironkit and Ghostkit would be apprenticed soon. "I still love you just the same" Swiftkit meowed with a smile, "You're brave to tell the truth, even though it hurts sometimes."

Lynxclaw licked Spiritmoon's ear in thanks. His kits wouldn't grow up with lies on their hearts, and Spiritmoon could still be the mother she wanted to be to them, even if they weren't her blood.

"How touching" said Rocketrage sarcastically, "Now we have to get a move on before sun-high or we won't reach Cloudclan before midnight." Rocketrage paused, scenting the breeze. "Spiritmoon, I can carry Ironkit" he said.

Adderstorm licked Clawkit's forehead sweetly. "You're still my brother, that's a promise. I can carry you to a good place where nice cats will feed you," he promised.

Lynxclaw gently tugged Swiftkit's scruff to draw him closer. "I hate to admit it, but Rocketrage is right this time, we had best go."

Minkclaw twitched his tail. "I'm sorry Sacredstar, but it was no excuse for me to go break rules. Though, I suppose you were a little harsh. But it was just. I nly got what I deserved. that's why I have to leave. If I can't trust myself to remain true to the warrior code, then how can you? How can anyone else?" 

((I know, she's talking about Christmas. XDDD Because, It's getting cold out. Should I just scratch that idea?))

Spiritmoon looked at Rocketrage, then narrowed her eyes. "I know my saying is 'forgive and forget' Rocketrage, but...." A look from Ravenwing silentced her, and she nudged Ironkit toward Rocketrage.

Even Ironkit shivered a bit at being shoved to the vampire. He gulped, thn puffed up his chest.

Ghostkit looked absent-mindedly at Ironkit, seeming to be more detached then normal She sat on her mother's bakc, staring with seemingly unseeing eyes. They were slightly clouded.

Clawkit looked up at Adderstorm and smiled, then climbing onto his back and nuzzling into his fur. "Me too!" He chirped to Spiritmoon, agreeing with His brother.

((It's fine I suppose. :) I always get my cats presents for Christmas, and I get them ham too! It's not like Minkclaw'll ask anyways XD

And what is Spiritmoon talking about? Rocketrage didn't do anything to Spiritmoon. O.O))

Rocketrage gazed at Ironkit, his tail swishing impatiently. "Let's get a few things straight now" he said. "When I'm carrying you, you do not claw me or thrash around, you hang limply by the scruff. I won't bite hard enough to draw blood, no worries. After all, you are half vampire, are you not? Eating you'd be like cannibalism, but you're too young to know about that. You ready? Good" Rocketrage said, without waiting for any replies. He picked up Ironkit gently by the scruff and set off to the rendezvous point, followed soon by Lynxclaw with Swiftkit and Adderstorm with Clawkit.

((You know kittens don't typically ride on other cat's backs, right? They're carried by the scruff. O.o)) 

((Yes ,I know. XD She is used to carrying them like that because shes a vamp. And She thinks that He took one of her kithood friends away, although it was an eagle. XDD))

Ironkit nodded, shivering a bit, before being picked up. He felt like trying to run away, but decided against it. He let his limbs loosten, then hang limply.

Spiritmoon sighed, and gently picked Ghostkit up. Shge did not seem to notice as Spiritmoon started walking.

Clawkit struggled and clawed the air, grumbling often. He didn't like being held by the scruff. Although Swiftkit looked completely content, he growled and let himself hang by Adderstorm's jaws.

Sacredstar got up. "Minkclaw, I am sorry. I need some time to think. Please, go and guard the camp for me." She said softly.

Minkclaw's tail twitched with anger. "Whatever, don't take me seriously." he growled, turning out of the den and walking away.

Cometsplash sat outside of the nursery silently. Her black pelt shimmered in the moonlight as she watched Minkclaw situate himself at the entrance to camp. Her golden ear twitched, and her matching tail curled neatly around her paws. She watched the entrance from afar.

(She's Gingerstorm's and therefore Spiritmoon's other sister. :3)

Angeltouch sighed in relief as she saw her kin come into view. "Oh! I was beginning to think you weren't going to come!" she purred, nuzzling Spiritmoon and giving Ghostkit a lick atop the head. She looked around and frowned. "Where is Gingerstorm?" she said softly.

Lynxclaw bowed his head with sadness. "She didn't survive kitting." he said. He took Clawkit from Rocketrage and set him in front of Angeltouch with Swiftkit, "I'd like you to meet Clawkit and Swiftkit. Clawkit, Swiftkit, this is Angeltouch, your grandmother."

Swiftkit looked up at the old, mottled she-cat nervously, carefully hiding his disgust with her appearance. "Lynxclaw," he whispered, "Does she not groom herself?"

"Don't be rude," Lynxclaw snapped, but Angeltouch only laughed. "It's perfectly alright" she purred, "It's very nice to meet the two of you" 

((I had this idea, where Like.... Bluestar's old kit that died comes back to the clan to warn them of Twolegs? and then, like almost suddenly, there's a yowl, and like... Tulipbreeze and your chara that was with her gets taken by twolegs. 8D His name would be.... Stargaze. 8D))

Sacredstar sighed very softly, then turned and layed down, resting her head on her paws.

Outside the camp entrance, a bride of stars came down from the dark sky, and an odd cat stepped down it carefully, as soon as it's paws touching the ground they turned milky white. He pulled them up, floating in mid-air, and they reutrned to how they were. The path vanished and Stargaze heard the task from his mother in his mind again. 'The twolegs are no joke. Send to Cloudclan a warning of their whereabouts, they must not be found nor taken.' As the cat with a blue pelt decorated with stars rehearsed it several times in his mind, the floating cat rested his paws on the ground again. The milky whiteness washed over him and his fur turned silver. Only, his tail tips, eyes and the tip of his ears stayed the starry pattern.

Clawkit looked up wide-eyed at Angeltouch. He didn't care for her condition, but she was his grandma all the same. "Hi! I'm Clawkit!" He Squeaked and jumped up, Nuzzling her affectionately.

Spiritmoon purred. "Hello mother." She nuzzled her, then backed away so Swiftkit could get used to her. "My, Mother, You must let me help sort out those mats." Sh offered gently, a warm smile on her face.

((I think we should let it play out until we get bored with it, and then introduce a new plot. I think we should scrap the one about Rasberrykit's ghost though and have the kits be normal apprentices for once XD))

"There'll be time for that later, darling" Angeltouch purred, nuzzling Clawkit, "We must get to Cloudclan before day break, or our vampire friend, Rocketrage, will not be able to travel."

"I can stay here until day, the clan isn't very fond of me either," Icewing admitted, settling into the bracken, "It's not like any of you need my help getting along."

Rocktrage shrugged. "Should we just go then?" he asked.

"Sure," Lynxclaw said, "Who knows, we might have even more kin in Cloudclan," he purred jokingly as he plucked Swiftkit off the ground and set off to Cloudclan.

Angeltouch took Clawkit happily, purring the whole way. (XD She misses having kits of her own.)

Rocketrage handed off Ironkit to Adderstorm and followed not far behind the rest of the company. He didn't want his presence to hinder Ravenwing's ability to enter Cloudclan.

Hailtwist and Heronstrike followed suit, staying near the cats carrying kits in case they got tired.

"I smell cats," Minkclaw announced, his fur bristling as he stood guard at the entrance. "A great many of them as well."

Cometsplash's pelt prickled with unease and she slipped into the nursery to avoid any battle that may happen.

"Do you think it's the remainder of Rockclan?" Owlcomet asked his son nervously.

"Impossible!" Featherstorm interrupted. "Rockclan scattered when Scarstar died."

"Well, there was a family of cats who were pretty close together," Dreamcloud pointed out, "I saw the elderly she-cat and a few warriors get out of camp before the fighting got out of hand(paw?)"

"We had best tell Sacredstar," Lightwave said, rushing off to the leader's den. "Sacredstar, Minkclaw has reported a large band of rogues and loners headed this way, we fear that it's the lingering remains of Rockclan." 

((Ok, well, I'll just keep Stargaze like... Stalking around camp unilt we need him. :3 oooh, does Rocketrage have a crush on Ravenwing? 8D Wouldn't that be awesome? The most heartless cat in this RP is crushing on the quietest, snappiest one. XDDDD))

Sacredstar looked midlly unsettled by Kightwave's news, then rose to her feet and swayed for a moment before padding out and on to highrock. Knowing everyone would listen even if not present, she started. "One of our young warriors has detected the scent of enemy cats. Although, I do not fear. They must be weak after their leader has died. They bring kits, mostl ikely, which will give them a good reason not to fight. I wish for everyone to be calm and go into your dens for the remainder of the day, I will annouce when I have sorted it out with the cats.

Ravenwing could soon faitnly hear Sacredstar yowling and cringed. "Will she accept Rocketrage and Icewing?' She thought to herself, hoping they would. Because, after everything, Rocketrage really wasn't as bad as he was percieved. She wondered if It would be awkward or just start fights, being that Rougeheart was a part of Cloudclan.

"Sacredstar! There could be vampires among them!" Featherstorm pointed out, "There is still Rocketrage to worry about at the moment, and I think there was another at camp! You aren't going to face them alone!"

Hornetwing nodded. "You're right Featherstorm," she said, "you need to go into the den with your kin, I will remain here with Sacredstar, and if anything happens I'll yowl for you," she promised. She shot a half-challenging look at Sacredstar, daring her to ob
ject to her presence. 

Minkclaw nodded. He smelled the kit scent now, and didn't wish for anyone to be hurt. He nudged Featherstorm grudgingly into the warriors den, where they waited in the cover of darkness, peering out at the clearing where Sacredstar and Hornetwing sat alone.

Angeltouch paused a little ways from camp. "We don't want to alarm them by coming in all at once," she said, setting Clawkit down, but leaving him protectively between her forepaws.

"Who should go? We don't want to look like a threat or anything." Hailtwist said.

"Maybe I should go?" Angeltouch said, "They wouldn't attack a cat as old as me."

"We don't know that for sure," Lynxclaw argued. "Maybe I should go. If they attack I'll be better off."

"No way!" Angeltouch growled softly, "You are the father of two kits, and you won't be risking your life."

There was a long silence. "What if we sent in one of the kits?" Rocketrage suggested.

"What?!" Angeltouch wailed, tugging Clawkit closer and reaching for Ironkit with her paw. "I-"

"No clan cat would attack a kit!" Rocketrage interrupted impatiently.

"No! The idea is out of the question," Lynxclaw snapped, hovering over Swiftkit who remained quiet.

"Then I'll go," Heronstrike offered, "Maybe if I brought Swiftkit or Clawkit with me, they'd give me a chance to explain myself."

Sacredstar stared at Hornetwing as if daring her to say something more, but merely nodded. "I will accept your presence, but do not speak unless you are impossibly inclined to do so Everyone else, Go to your dns and wait it out." Sacredstar then stepped tenatively down from the highrock and sat, curling her fluffy tail over her paws. "Make no movements to signal you are my bodyguard. If we are lucky, these cats will be hungry, tired, and won't be able to fight." She whispered softly, then stared ahead calmly.

Spiritmoon instantly snarled at Heronstrike when he added his thought, then sat down with narrowed eyes. "We shall all go in. My, Rocketrage and Icewing at the back so we don't seem wanting to harm, while Angeltouch, Lynxclaw and the kits up front. Everyone else at them iddle. Show not hostility, they are our last chance." She spoke in a demanding tone, attemtping to be leader, although it really wasn't her call.

Ravenwing stopped to look at rocketrage. He was battered, Matted, and for once in his life, seemed sloemn. "He is only trying to make sure we get into cloudclan." She widend her eyes. She never thought she would speak a word to defend him. She blinked, looked and Rocketrage, then at her paws.
