Cody arrived at Blackrose High School, his small luggage trailing behind him. "Well, here it is." He said to himself, sighing. "It sure is friendly." He looked up at the rather intimidating walls with flags. "Oh, I think someone's here already." He mumbled, looking at the parking lot. It contained only one car, but at least it was a start. He walked into the building, through the gla-ss doors. A lady with the nameplate titled 'Ms. Ruthven' sat there, as if expecting him. "Umm... Hi, my name is Cody Grayden?" He asked in a timid voice. The lady nodded and drew up a slip of paper with his name on it. "B-5831." She said, pointing in the direction of building B. Cody nodded in thanks and trailed off in that direction. 

Soon, he found his dorm room. Sliding his key in, Cody turned the doorknob. Inside was alright, he'd been in better. But it was good enough, and Cody flopped onto the wooden bed. "Could use more cushions." He mumbled, though he knew he could not sleep.

Levi trudged into Blackrose High, paying no attention to the imposing walls and the haunted features the building retained. He'd been there, done that. Shichi followed him obediently, waggling his tail and panting happily. Levi glanced at his dog and grinned, as Shichi bounced up and down. When he entered the room where Ms. Ruthven sat, the lady paid him almost no attention when handing him the paper with his room number on it. Instead, the lady watched Shichi with a slight look of disgust. Levi disliked her immediately. "Come on, boy." He muttered, picking up his bundle of white fur. Shichi yapped happily and flopped over Levi's shoulder as he approached his room number, 1720. Levi opened the door with the key, and pushed it open with his leg. He immediately set Shichi down, and the dog ran around the dorm room, yapping and wagging his tail. Levi grinned and closed the door, dragging his luggage in behind him. "Yup, it's our new home, Shichi." He said. The dog bounced up and down more, and threw himself on the small sofa.

Sola and Maya walked into Blackrose High together. A werewolf and a vampire were an unlikely alliance, but the two knew each other well. "Come on, Sola." Maya said, pulling her friend's arm. Sola looked around nervously, her white starling chirping. "Coming, coming." Sola muttered quietly, as Fiero hopped onto his owner's head. "I wish you wouldn't bring him." Maya sighed, looking at the starling that perched on Sola's head. "Aw, but we're like siblings." Sola said, grinning as she patted Fiero's small head with her fingers. Maya shook her head and walked into the office where Ms. Ruthven sat. The lady looked up and scowled when she saw Fiero, muttering something about 'ought to ban pets'. The two girls ignored the comments as they received their papers. "B-2259." Maya said. "B-7614." Sola said. The two girls headed their seperate directions, Fiero starting to chirrup a little song.

Sola and Maya, who had just stepped out of their rooms, looked around. "Ummm... okay?" Sola called to the boy that just informed them about the homeroom. "Where's Fiero?" Maya asked, noticing no familiar flapping sounds or twittering. "Oh, I left him in the room." Sola said cheerfully, but broke off when she heard the familiar chirruping. "Fiero!" She cried. "What the... how did you get out?" Sola sighed as Fiero perched on his regular spot on top of her head. Maya simply laughed. "I got to say, he's got brains." Sola and Maya chuckled, then proceeded to the home rooms. "I don't want to be a substitute professor." Sola muttered to Maya, who nodded in agreement. Sola was too disruptive, while Maya preferred being silent. Of course, everyone knew that Maya would result to tyranny, just for the fun of it.

Levi sighed and got out of the room, Shich trailing behind him. Levi was about to send his dog back into the room, but smiled. "Fine, I hope those vamps don't like dog blood." He grinned. Shichi yapped in return, and bounced along with his master. Levi nodded in approval when the head mistress acknowledged animals as marvelous. 'She's much better than that Ms. Ruthven.' Levi thought. Whoever didn't like his dog was automatically disliked. Shichi sat on Levi's lap, watching the students gather in the homeroom.

Cody made a 'huh?' sound when a student informed him about the homeroom, then dashed off. Shrugging, he trudged to his homeroom. He saw a boy with a white dog, and a girl with a white starling. Cody couldn't help but sigh in envy. "I want my own pet." He mumbled, resting his head on the chair in front of him.
