The hacking coughs of men rang through the cold metal hall. The room was dim, though outside of the prison's walls the day was still young.
A figure, more a shadow really, could be glimpsed from the prisoners' cells. The coughing stilled for a moment before another round interrupted the silence.
The figure paused, then leaned forward, her pale fingers grasping the bars of the cell of a healthy man. "Hello." She said, not bothering to keep her voice down. "You're not sick, right? What about your blood?"
The man stared at her blankly, then muttered an answer. "I'm not sick. Who are you?"
The girl, small and slim, clapped her hands together with delight, her face half hidden underneath a russet scarf. "Oh, good. This trip wasn't pointless." She dug into her pocket and pulled out a ring of keys. They jangled loudly, catching the attention of other prisoners.
"Who are you?" The man asked again, frowning hard. A few others echoed his question, looking curiously out of their cells.

The girl smiled, not showing her teeth. "My name is Feverfew, but I like Fever better, so call me that, okay?"
No one said anything. Fever opened the cell, swinging the door open. It creaked loudly, as did the others. Fever stepped back and looked at the group of healthy prisoners. She nodded to herself. "Come along then." She said lightly, turning and treading silently out of the hall. She led the group out of the building, then headed to the woods.
The questions didn't start for a while. Most of the prisoners couldn't care less who she was, as long as they were getting them out of there. The first man eventually walked beside her.
"Where are you taking us?" He asked, narrowly avoiding a low branch.
"To my home."
"Why?"
Fever blinked at him. "Well, you're healthy and your blood is still good so I figured you're being wasted in prison." She turned to the rest of the group. "Do hurry up. We still have a while to go."

Stark white walls rose in front of them, and Fever glanced fondly up at the decorative towers set upon the school. She veered away from the front doors, instead opening a door at the side, hidden by plants crawling along the wall.
The door led to the kitchen, though it was oddly void. There was only about thirty square feet of space, all empty. Somewhere along the back were two more doors- one with the word "Sustenance" over it in italic letters, and the other "Humans".

"You will live in here." She waited patiently as they filed into the Humans room. Then she stepped in with them, flicked on the light, and shut the door behind her.
There were simple mats lining the back wall, for the prisoners to sleep on. A few humans, who had been here previously, started crying when they saw her.
"Have a nice stay. I promise you won't be here too long." She grinned, fangs glinting slightly. "Lunch soon."

She locked the door on their bewildered faces.

Fever turned and exited the 'kitchen', her fingertips just barely poking out from the sleeves of her overlarge sweater.
The halls were quiet. She knew the new arrivals would still be getting settled, not really intent on exploring the grounds quite yet. Fever blinked, knowing that at least it made her job a bit easier. She always went to each seperate dorm to introduce herself to the new arrivals.

She headed out the main block, and instead took to the second. This was where all the dorms were; it was where the students most likely would be.

She had a list that she'd nabbed from the office of all the new students. The closest room to her was number 1720. According to the list, the student staying there was someone by the name of Levi Sandros.

Quietly, Fever tapped on the smooth mahogany wood, wondering if anyone was even inside.
