Demonstar stood on top of Highrock, "let all cats old enough to catch their own prey gather beneath highrock for a clan meeting." her voice echoed through camp.

Woldheart padded toward Highrock, his tail resting gently on Moonsongs shoulder, leading the blind she-cat, even though she knew her way areound.

Adderpaw silently joined his sister and Feralpaw, amber eyes unblinking.

Feralpaw's fur tingled with anticipation, "this is it!" he whispered to Sablepaw, "I'm going to be a warrior!" His eyes sparkled with exitement and he could hardly contain it.

Cougarfeather sat next to Moonsong and Wildheart, along with Nightbird, who watched his apprentice with pride in his eyes.

Snowdrift sat by herself at the edge of the clan, silently observing the ceremony.

Wolfheart sat alone, eyes studying Feralpaw and the other apprentices closly.

Sablepaw headbutted Feralpaw's shoulder softly. "Conrgats," she meowed, blinking at him. She wondered faintly what he looked like.

Ravenclaw padded over and sat next to Snowdrift. His pelt brushed hers.

Snowdrift froze as Ravenclaws's pelt brushed hers. Her eyes stayed focused on Demonstar, she didnt even look at him, or say a word.

Feralpaw smiled at Sablepaw, "thanks! I wonder what my warrior name will be!" he flet a pur rumble in his chest.

Sablepaw smiled back, even though she didn't know he was smiling. She purred, "Something cool, I hope."

Ravenclaw frowned, and meowed, "Hello Snowdrift."

Poisonfang licked her ear. "I think we should join the others," he mumured.

Sacredheart sat at the very front of the group of cats and purred happily for the apprentices.

Snowdrift dipped her head in acknowledgement to Ravenclaw, "hello" she said, voice barely over a whisper.

"Lets hope so!" Feralpaw purred.

"Feralpaw," Demonstar began, "you have trained under the warrior code for six moons, and it is time for you to recieve your warrior name." SHe turned her gaze to Nightbird, "do you believe that you apprentice has earned his warrior name?"

"That I do." Nightbird purred.

"Then from now on, Feralpaw, You will be know as Feralwind." She purred as her clan chanted out the yound warriors name, "And tonight, you will stand silent vigil, as according to tradition."

Feralwind did his best to look noble.

Sablepaw nudged him. "Silly furball," she breathed.

"I know how you feel," Limefeather mewed weakly.

Ravnclaw mewed, "How are you, Snowdrift?"

Wolfheart watched Feralwind and Sablepaw with interest.

Poisonfang sat close to Limefeather and didn't talk.

Feralwind almost replied, but stayed quiet, he glanced up at the setting sun and stood, begining to pad toward the den entrance where he would sit vigil, letting his dark brown tail linger on Sablepaw's shoulder for a moment.

Snowdrift sighed, "alright, just filled with a hollow heart, Sacredheart is lucky you know." she said, before rising to her paws and padding to her den.

Adderpaw glanced at Wolfheart, eyes full of question, wondering if he had imagined anything between his sister and Feralwind, the brown tom obviously had a soft spot for Sablepaw. Of course Adderpaw wouldnt say it out loud, he rarely spoke.

Wolfheart stood up and motioned to Adderpaw.

Sablepaw stood up and started to search for her mentor.

Ravenclaw stared after her with a sad ex
pression. He stood up and went to go sulk in his den.

Snowdrift's fur bristled, "you are lucky because you can have what I can NEVER have, you can have a mate and kits, you can fall in love with no cosequences, I CANT" The pain echoed in her voice and her eyes reflected it.

Demonstar padded up to Snowdrift and Sacredheart, eyes confused, she knew how mild mannered Snowdrift was, "what is going on here?" she asked.

"Nothing." snowdrift hissed, spinning and stalking away, lashing her tail.
