Feralwind felt his face grow warm as Sablepaw's fur brushed his. He closed his eyes and breathed in her scent, it filled his head and he sighed in contentment.

Snowdrift lay in the entrance of her den, watching the sun set, when Moonsong joined her.

"Hello Snowdrift." The brown she cat purred, "hey, do you remember when I was an apprentice and could see? Well, I could have sworn I saw a flash of white today, it brought back memories of when me, you and Cougarfeather got in trouble as kits and Fallenstar kept us in camp for a whole moon!" she chuckled softly, "those were the days, not a care in the world." She smiled at Snowdrift, "I miss those days."

 "As do I Moonsong, life was much simpler then." Snowedrift replied with a sigh.

Limefeather stood up and padded into her den, curling up next to Snowdrift without any noise.

Sablepaw mewed quietly, "The apprentice's den will be different without you, Feralwind. I bet you it will actually be quiet now." She chuckled softly, shifting towards him slightly. 

 Feralwind made Sablepaw feel safe and like she belonged. Like she was still important. It was a nice feeling.

Feralpaw gave her a 'look' even though she couldnt see it. He wished she could, then maybe she would be able to tell what he was saying.((should we skip to dawn??))

Demonstar padded out of her den to see Feralwind watching the rising sun with Sablepaw at his side. She purred and padded down to him, "your vigil is over, Feralwind, get some rest now."

Feralwind smiled, "thank you Demonstar, but I am not tired." He said.

Demonstar smiled and nodded, "ok then, I will see you around." She turned and padded over to the Freshkill pile.

Adderpaw padded out of his den, it was dawn, where was Wolfheart? He shook his head, who was the late one now? He glanced at Snowdrift, who was padding toward the freshkill pile and joined her, "good morning Snowdrift." he said softly.

"Hello Adderpaw, lovely day isnt it?" she asked, breathing in the newleaf air. She felt the same pain, but ignored it, only the strong survived and she refused to be the weak link.
