Crystal didn't seem to understand.  What does he mean by, 'I'm not like you'? She wondered.  Then she suddenly remembered about yesterday, when he appeared to be fighting back the urge to do something.  The whole scene appeared in Crystal's mind, playing as if it were a video tape.  Could he be...... a vampire? She wondered.  But even if he was, she wouldn't really care.  He just seemed...... like the right kind of guy for her.

"I don't care if you're different." She said quietly, looking into his eyes.  "Even if you're a vampire." Crystal really wasn't sure if it was true that she wouldn't mind if her were a vampire, though.  She actually was a bit worried about that fact.

Ren stepped back. He wouldn't have to tell her anything at all; she knew. He sighed, approaching her more closely.  He swallowed, quickly covering her neck with more of her hair, which was a hard task to do. Her scent was tempting enough to fight against. 

"Well, then I guess it doesn't matter now... now that you know." he grabbed her arm, dragging her underneath the tree. It was darker there and hot where there was no shade. Ren slipped his hood off, exposing his silvery black hair. He smiled down at her, not a fake smile, but a relatively happy smile.

"If you think you can trust a vampire," He laughed, "then a relationship might work." He crossed his arms, leaning against the tree.

Ren slightly tilted his head, walking closer to Crystal. He let his fangs show, just to see how she would react to him being close to her. Staring into her eyes, his eyes flashing at her like ice, he grinned, letting her have a full view of his sharp teeth.

"Are you absolutely positively sure?" He asked, slipping his hands behind his back. He wouldn't hurt her, but he liked to constantly get on others' nerves. This time, he just wanted to see if she really actually would. He believed her the first time, but he had to make sure. 

Ren nodded, seeing her bravery. "Okay then." He stepped back. "Oh and, I wouldn't bite a human if my life depended on it. I'm not like those demons that feed off of humans whenever they please." He said this with disgust an slight anger in his voice, his eyes flashing a hint of red. He began to pace in one direction.

"Now, just answer me this question." Ren paused. "I saved you, we just met. Why do you love me?" He spun around to face her again, emphasizing the word love once again.

He didn't see how it was possible to truly love someone after a day. He'd thought about this earlier, but had to bring the question up. Honestly, he liked having things organized for him in his mind. It was convenient to have everything laid out perfectly.

Ren blinked. That was explained well, He thought with sarcasm. He nodded, pacing slowly. It was horrible, he guessed, but he was forgetting what love was. Was that what was meant when they said vampires had no emotions, in the stories and books he'd read? He shook his head to himself; that couldn't be it.  

"Okay. Then you wouldn't be disappointed to be in love with someone over a hundred years older than you. Would you?" He figured most girls wanted a young looking guy to hang around, rather than some oldie. He was an old man when it came to human ages.

He wasn't sure if he was making this more difficult or not, wondering if she just expected him to fall in love with her right then and there. Then he wondered if she was bored of this conversation all together. If she was, then it was all over. 

"No, I wouldn't." Crystal answered.  "Unless they actually appear to be that old.  You might be over 100 years older than me, but you sure don't appear to be."

Ren agreed. Any human would think that. His appearance alone could fool thousands. He placed his hands on his hips. "I'm out of questions." He sighed, coming closer to Crystal. He sat down on the ground, leaning against the tree trunk. 

((Ahh! Brain lag DX)) 

"Good." Crystal said, laughing a little.  "Because you've asked a lot of questions."

Crystal looked around, then said, "Instead of just sitting here, shouldn't we be doing something else?" She asked, looking curiously at Ren waiting for an answer. 

Ren looked up at her, a quizzical look on his face. "What do you suggest we do?" He paused, then looked around as well. "It's hot here and there's nothing to do in this town." He complained, coming to a standing position. His stomach growled; he hadn't eaten in a couple days. He glanced at Crystal apologetically. "I'll be back in a couple minutes." 

Slipping his hood up, he ran through the park to the sidewalk, scanning the alleys he quickly p*censored*ed. Seeing what he was looking for, he ran into one, grabbing the striped alley cat. Looking at it before feeding, he apologized, petting the cat's head. "Sorry little fella." 

Ren appeared behind Crystal, more energetic. He wiped the faint bit of blood away with his hand, hoping he hadn't been caught. It was hard to do things without being seen in broad daylight. nonetheless, he smiled in content, sad that he had to hurt the animal, but satisfied. Didn't people eat animals everyday as well? SO honestly, he figured he hadn't committed any crime at all.  

I sighed, but nodded. It really was quite hot. I decided that as long as we stayed under the shade of the trees lining the park, and walked in the shadows, then I'd be fine. I suddenly remembered Crystal. She was a human, a creature of light. I, however, was of darkness, a creature forced to wander life alone and in darkness. Since I' met Crystal though,it seemed to change. The world was brighter, not that that was a good thing on the part of my vision's brightness already, and I had someone who wanted to be around me. There was someone who loved me.

"All right. After you." I grinned, beckoning her to lead the way. I'd follow her.
