I listened to him and realized I must sound stupid. Hitch a ride! Gawd, how stupid am I... When I heard him apologize, it felt as though my heart jumped into my throat. I can tell it's hard for him and that he's doing his best to be calm- Something in the corner of my eye catches me and distracts my train of thought. I look over there and see some leaves falling and a moment later, a quick flash of movement. I grab his arm and drag him away from the area, whispering, "We're being watched."

((Gonna ignore my guys for now, until Forra gets back or I decide to have them find her, it all depends. Hope this is enough, I'm a tad braindead today. My sister forced me to climb the mountain we live near and I'm exhausted. I also made these awesome earrings, kinda big, but awesome. I plan on posting them on Facebook later, when I do I'll put a link up.))

Ket glanced over to the trees, raising his voice slightly, "Yes, I had the feeling." his gaze tensed into a glare, then he bent down to the ground and rose once more with a smooth, rounded pebble in his hand. It wasn't any bigger than his thumb nail, but with the way he sent it zipping through the air, it was going to hurt if someone got hit by it. At least he hoped it would. He heard it split through the leaves of the tree where that betraying rustle had first sounded, but Ket turned away once more and started in the opposite direction without waiting to see what, -or who- it was to hit.

"Come." he motioned with a nod of his head for Forra to follow, dipping into the undergrowth.

Zoran growled. "You clearly don't get the point." she replied. Her tone barely audible as it was before.
"If this girl doesn't stop telling me what to do, I'll gladly point her out to the two she's watching." She muttered mentally. No sooner than the thought ended, a small pebble came zipping past her head. "Oops. Looks like you've been found." She laughed and slipped out of the tree with the shadows only to appear a few trees away. With that she climbed down, a rather satisfied grin on her face as she began walking away once she touched the ground.

~~~
As if picking up something Conner wasn't saying out loud, he cocked his head to the side. "Is something wrong?" He asked, completely dismissing the slight smile that appear on the boy's face a few moments ago.
Conner looked over at Ivan, blinking as he processed both question and answer, "No, I can't say it is," he said, tail flicking inside his pant cuff before he thought to stop it. When the action finally caught up with him, he bent over to rub his calf as if it had been a twitching muscle. He silently cursed himself for the blunder, but beat away any evidence as soon as it arose.
 "I'm glad you came out here today. It made a difference to me in a way I can't even describe."
Petie wasn't paying attention to what the nuisance was saying, for she didn't care. Though what she did care about was getting scared off. She was trying to listen carefully to what the two below were saying but with all the noise and discomfort it was hard, and that's why a tiny pebble zipped through the trees and tear through her shoulder. Petie heard the laugh that came out of the girls mouth but it didn't bother her, the pain was bothering her. She looked down at her right shoulder and saw a thin gash. It wasn't very deep but it was sure bleeding. She fell out of the tree by the impact of the pebble and looked at the two bodies walking away. Petie quickly covered herself in shadows and went up against the tree. She looked like a natural shadow so she hopped that the two would think the nuisance girl was the one eavesdropping. Distance. Petie thought, Distance would suffice.
The scent of blood made me stop and look right at what looked like a shadow. My eyes turned red and I said, "Back off, before I hurt you!" My voice was more threatening then I had wanted it to be and my fangs were showing. Still, I hoped it'd make this person back off. I turned back around and headed deeper into the forest and said, "Let's go." I still sounded mad, but I didn't mean it and I hope he'd understand.
Several minutes passed before I stopped. We were in a small clearing, similar to the one we'd met in, but with a few boulders in it. I walked over to a nice sized boulder and sat down. I closed my eyes and rubbed my temples. I was still mad from earlier and I couldn't figure out why it was so hard to just calm down.
((I saw this when I logged off earlier and I'm still surprised about it. tle="Avatar" target="_blank">Link))
(( Well well, very nice Tiger. Congrats <3 ))
Ket studied her as she leaned against the large stone, blinking bloody eyes, "It's not so easy when it's turned this way, is it?" he cooed, "Doesn't sound quite so simple to let go of every little frustration," he took a step forward, speaking each of his last words with a peculiar exaggeration. By the time his sentence was done, he was leaning over the girl with a pale hand on the stone beside her.
He fingered a lock of her hair, gaze cold in comparison to the gentle touch, "Now tell me, what further interest could you possibly have in me now that you know my secrets?"
((Congratz~ ))
"What... was that?"
He thought as his gaze shifted to the slight twitching inside Conner's pants' leg. Quickly shrugging off the thought he looked back at Conner. "Honestly, I'm not really sure what to say aside from you're welcome." He replied with a slight laugh.
[[Kudos!!!!]]
The warning gave to Petie from the snowy haired girl was harsh. Her eyes were red and it had seemed as if a whole new being was in her place. Distance. Petie told herself, Distance. And she was good at keeping her distance. She had kept her distance from humans and monsters for years. So, her ears would do the work. She would listen to where they were going, with slight advancement, and finally, advance. It was the perfect plan, though she forgot one thing. The snowy haired girl could sense Petie somehow, and she supposed it had to do with blood.
He tried not to make it too obvious, but Conner could tell Ivan had seen. His gaze danced back to the trail leading out of the woods, and he felt himself hesitate.
"Way to be cautious around the human. Stupid, stupid, stupid." he cursed himself silently, gathering blades of grass in his balled hands. There passed a long moment of silence from his side.
"I'd love to see you again some time... some time soon... but I think it's time for me to go back," he said quietly, regret hidden in his voice right alongside his unease. This certainly wasn't how he wanted the morning to end, but he wasn't yet ready to risk everything, possibly including Ivan's safety, on a hope. Even if the boy wasn't to take much notice of it, Conner was getting too comfortable. Comfort or rest had always lead to misfortune for him, and for those around him. With someone like this, he wasn't willing to take that chance, "I'm sorry." he started to rise, carefully avoiding the other's gaze.
((Thanks you guys!))
I lowered my head as he spoke and felt kinda bad. "Yeah, it is..." I said with a sigh. I listened to him get closer and practically lean over me, but didn't notice him place one of his hands next to me. My hands dropped down from my temples and one of them brushed the hand he'd laid on the boulder. I pulled it away quickly and rested it on my lap. I could feel my face heat up, but not for the same reason as last time. I felt his other hand hold a lock of my hair and I was positive my face became even redder. With him calm, the marks that had appeared on me began to fade, but not as fast as they had come. However, I noticed that most of the marks on my face had already vanished during the walk here, so he may notice I'm blushing. During this time, I'd forgotten he'd asked me a question. So I just sat there in an awkward silence.
((Sorry if it's not that good. My brain is still mush from being awake for only an hour or so. *yawns and almost passes out* Thankfully I escaped watching, The Woman In Black, last night. I think I'd die if I did. I don't like horror movies...))
"Did... I do something... wrong?"
He questioned himself the second Conner looked back at the trail they'd came through. Conner's next words in a way confirmed that thought while dismissing it at the same time. "Oh... OK." Was all he could really manage to say at that point in time. After a few brief seconds he stood up and quickly dusted the loose blades of grass off of his jeans. "It was nice meeting you today. And thank you for showing me such a lovely little place." He finally managed to say, forcing a smile. In his mind, if Conner wanted to go, he wasn't going to try and stop him... trying to stop someone from doing something often back fired and caused him to get hurt one way or another.
At this point, he wasn't sure if he should hold out his hand, or offer to walk with Conner back... or what.... He lacked the experience to properly handle a situation like this, making him feel awkward and slightly out of place.
"Hmm, would that be the link again?" Ket asked smugly when he saw her cheeks beginning to redden, even though the marks from before seemed to be fading. He cocked his head to the side, absolutely leering down at her. If he was making her uncomfortable, he was certainly enjoying it.
Conner gave Ivan a slightly pained smile in answer to the one he saw out of the corner of his vision, although the true well of disappointment in himself was all in the demon's eyes. He now regretted having said anything, even more so than actually having started this entire landslide. In all honestly, not a single part of him wanted to leave this place, and even less wanted to leave Ivan's company.
He started forcing himself to lean towards the trail, but couldn't truly make himself move away. He clenched his jaw slightly, feeling his throat tighten, then tried to open his mouth to say something. All that came out was a dry noise. He swallowed before he looked up and tried again, "Would you mind if I walk you back to the docks?"
"..." I didn't answer him. His voice was smug, yet my cheeks grew another shade of red. I could feel my skin twitch as I realized he was enjoying this. Still, my cheeks held its blush. I lowered my head even further, hoping he wouldn't see.
((Braindead....))
Ivan couldn't help but smile when Conner offered to walk him back to the docks. Slowly he rose to his feet and dusted himself off. "Sure." Was all he could really manage to say... even though [art of him wanted to say more. He couldn't seem to shove the image of the twitching.... thing.... inside Conner's pants' leg away. Not that the image bothered him... Quite the opposite really. It mildly intrigued him.
(( Sorry guys, I was preoccupied with finals. Good news though; I scored 100% on five out of the six that I had. Last one I missed three of the 75, but still. xD ))
"Mmn, I must admit that I wasn't expecting you to be so shy, Forra," he cooed, light playing in his eyes. He studied all of her face that she was allowing him to, grinning the entire time, "but really now, I do think it's about time I started off in this direction or that, if we no longer have a use for one another. What a shame it would be to see you go, though," he paused, considering letting her up for a moment, but in the end deciding to keep her there just a while longer, "but I fear if I spend too much time here, I might just be tempted to get you back for that 'feeding' this morning. You really seemed to have messed with my head. I have to admit I like it though, still just a little bit... dizzying."
Conner nodded gratefully and with a hint of relief, regardless of the lingering, melancholy state of mind. He rocked back and forth on the balls of his feet, then gestured slightly towards the path behind him before starting slowly back down the trail. Even as he turned to move ahead, however, he almost felt it difficult to leave this all behind, and even more the strange moment of happiness that had accompanied it this early morning. He hated knowing that at the end of this trail, he and Ivan would be parting ways.
'Two roads diverged in a yellow wood, and be one traveler long I stood,
looking down one as far as I could to where it bent in the undergrowth,' he recited silently to himself. Always these crossroads seemed to bar his way, and never an easy choice seemed among them. He then glanced back over his shoulder at Ivan, 'Then the other, just as fair, though perhaps with a better claim...'
Voices were thrown back and forth, each getting softer from the girl, though. For a while during their conversation, it had seemed as if they were getting really comfortable with each other. A huge smile was on Peties face as her mind danced around and said 'I told you so' to nobody. This did seem like a good fairy tail, and the lower toned voice just made it all fit in. When she heard that the guy was about to leave Petie was thinking about two things; one on how she would advance and follow the girl, but mainly how this story would end, or if it would end. Living is so much better than hiding. Petie thought to herself as she enjoyed the voices of the story, almost forgetting why she was following them, and ignoring the fact that she was hiding in the shadows where they'd left her with her small wound.
A bit of anxiety began to build when he started talking about leaving. I wasn't sure what to say. I didn't want him to leave, but I wasn't sure I could stop him. I didn't think it was possible, but my face turned even redder and a small choke like sound escaped me when he mentioned the whole feeding thing from earlier. My stomach growled at the thought of blood, even though I was fairly full. My vampire self loved the thought of blood and seeing how I usually starved myself, it was practically jumping with joy. Then again, it could be because I was thinking about his blood. I tried to remember what his blood tasted like, but it didn't come to me. A part of me just wanted to get up and bite him again, but I kept myself in control. For now anyways...
((OMG, LaCortori, you're smart!))
