As for you ILUVCREATU, I'm not quite sure. Could you send me an Rmail of an example of how literate you are?))

A small hiss crept from his lips as her teeth broke his skin, although for the most part it was a reaction that had nothing to do with his real perception of the pain. However, it only took a moment for the sound to murmur down into a hum of satisfaction, by which time the sting was really sinking in. He himself bit down on his lower lip, closing his eyes as he let his head roll back on his shoulders. Well, wasn't she quick to comply?
Even though the sunlight should have been seeping down through his eyelids, he saw nothing but black. Still, he welcomed the void; it was something to rest his mind, something to help leave behind thought as entire torrents of sensation rippled through him. As much as the mental pain could cripple him, nothing at all could compare to the real thing.
And so suddenly nothing at all he wanted more.
He twisted his neck slightly, savoring the jabs of discomfort that followed. A tremor coursed down his spine, leaving him simply radiating excitement as his eyes cracked open the slightest bit to catch Forra.
He jumped quite sharply at the sight of the stranger, eyes suddenly flashing open as he stuttered in surprise. Caught in a rather sudden and irrational gleam of shock, all the pleasure of the pain was crammed to the back of his mind. What a shame, really; the way he tensed would have felt truly incredible. The boy pushed Forra away, leaning further back against the stone even as the stranger started to back away.
(( -showers the RP in fluff and useless words- ))

Suddenly all footfall ceased, Conner's limbs locking in place as he stared blankly ahead into the undergrowth. His eyes he could feel dilate, his muscles tensing like a panicking animal. He felt the tingle of surrounding air prick his skin, a flood of the desire to vanish grasping him with icy fingers. Ivan's question echoed in his mind again, and again, and again, "Are you human or something else?"
Something else.
He swallowed, slowly turning his eyes back to Ivan, not even bothering to hide his reaction at this point. There was a dread in his eyes, laced by the fear and pain bound to him over the many years that had driven him to his state of constant worry and coldness towards others. All to prevent exactly what was happening to him right now.
Then he went silent, looking down into the other's gaze. His jaw clenched to prevent itself from shaking, his eyebrows knitting together, "What would make you ask me something like that?"

He heard the movements of the others while he backed away. "Again... I'm really sorry." He repeated, his eye's still shielded while trying to back away. He stumbled a bit over a small root sticking out of the ground... but managed not to let himself fall over on his back. His movements were kind of slow due to the fact he was trying to make as little noise as possible.
~~~
"Honestly... I'm not even sure why I asked it... It just kind of...." Ivan began, trying to force words out of his mouth. "Slipped..." He finally managed to finish the sentence. His eyes held fear... Not from all the things Conner could have said... but because he might have scared Conner off. His eyes began to twitch, possibly even tear up... he wasn't paying attention. His gaze was firmly locked on Conner's gaze. "I... think I asked because the way you acted after... twitching..." He added after what seemed like an eternity. After that the fear seemed to melt away. It was replaced with a sweet... almost serene smile. "If you are... you can tell me. I won't run away... I won't think any different of you." He finished. His voice almost pleading by the way it shook as the tears welt up in his trembling eyes.
((Sorry I've been gone from the RP you guys. RL has been a bit hectic lately.))
My hand still kept a good grip on his shirt, even as he pushed me back. A bit of anger shot through me. At first I was mad at him, but then I realized there was another person here. My gaze shifted over to the boy, who was currently backing away. I let my hand loosen its grip and drop to my side. Why... My feet began to move towards the boy. Why did he interrupt us? Why! Each step I took, brought me ever closer to him. Now I'm gonna kill him and there's nothing I can do to stop myself. Anger and something primal has taken over me and no matter how much I struggle, I can't stop.
((Sorry if it's not that good. Not feeling very well today. Oh and Forra is currently using her third power. I added it to her Bio, so go and read it before you guys post.
(( You all should be prepared for a long post, I'm in a very writing-y mood. P: ))
She wouldn't. She was smarter than to attack. She was better than tha-
...well crap.
Red eyes darted first to Forra, then to the intruder. He felt his body warn against stupidity, but the mind, of course, ignored the dread that came over him. In less time than he could rethink his plan, he shot off the rock and threw his hand onto her shoulder, whipping himself forward and between her and the stranger. He had no idea what had come over her, but with the way she had reacted with the humans that had interrupted their last "session", he figured for the other it would be better she didn't get to him.
But then it hit him; why on earth should he care whether or not she killed the guy? He was... human. A parasite, a pest, a... a... pathetic little... human. He felt himself stutter in his movement, brows furrowing in confusion.
Why not just help her?
His mind suddenly went blank with the tantalizing prospect of watching her kill him. With the idea of tasting the blood himself, holding his thrashing body in place while she did as she wished. Collapsing every rib in his chest in on his organs one by one, slitting his flesh at the joints to twist and pop his limbs out of place. Just to hear him scream. Just to feel the pain, the horror radiating from him. To know he could do to them just what they had done to him.
His hold on her loosened very sharply, and his eyes slowly turned back to the other. A hunger burned in his gaze, slowly seeping into his tensing muscles and throbbing heart. Now that he saw it, he could almost feel ripping skin under his fingers. It was a craving, a need to feel the real thing. A demonic smile crept across his lips, and he felt his mouth start to water.
He moved his arm away from her, twisting his arm back to his side. He felt the familiar scrape of bone on bone, not meant to accompany the movement. It was so usual for him after the wound had healed, but it grabbed his attention this time; seizing and refusing to let go.
Lights. People around him. Bloody handprints. An operating table. The sound of his own screams. Ket's pleading and the pitiless eyes that replied.
He remembered sobbing, begging for mercy, and writhing helplessly as it all went unanswered. He remembered most of them leaving the room once the others started. Yelling outside the door, like whispers the sound was so far away. But there were others that stayed. Others that stomached it. Others that tore him to pieces, stitched him together, and did it again. There had been some that he knew couldn't bare to watch. But even though they didn't aid the others, they didn't help him, either.
He was kept awake through it all. Drugs were administered to arouse him when the agony of being dismembered grew enough to shut him down. There was no peace, there was no rest, there was no end. He had prayed that they would kill him, to make it all stop. When they didn't, he tried to himself. He thought the same scalpels that tortured him would also be enough to take it all away. 'Through the eye, perhaps,' he had once cried to himself, 'across my neck, or in the abdomen to spill out everything within. As deep as I can plunge it into my heart, until the damned thing finally stops beating,' he said. He even managed to get his fingers around one of the cold metal blades at one point.
He had been so close. So close.
But he was never given the chance.
Please! Please- Please...
...he wanted nothing more than to hunt down all those that had done that to him. But the new-found thought of putting someone else, someone he had never known through that same pain... he was very suddenly nauseous. His throat tightened on itself, and in the split moment all the flashback had centered around, he almost heaved over at the mere memory.
He glanced down at the scars on his skinny arms, on his wrists, down his sides and all across the pallid flesh so many times marred. His hands bunched into fists at the remembered sensation of being bound, nails digging into his palms.
Then his hands where back to push against Forra, as the choked cry rang over his shoulder, "Turn around, uncover your god damn eyes, and run you moron!"
(( I'm so ashamed of myself and all this freaking angst. ;^; Forgive me. But yeah, all of that spanned all of about 5 seconds tops. I'll add in Conner's section in a bit, need to switch computers. ))
"Great..... I interupt something between two people and they look like they're going to murder me for it... yeesh..." Jerith shook his head. "Look, I meant no harm... I didn't figure anyone else was hear.... and besides-" He began before tripping over another root.
"Watch it there..." Zoran sneered as she caught him before he fell on his butt. But before he could say anything else, she shoved him forward towards the two who looked ready to kill the defenseless human. "If they kill him, that just leave one less person who might remember me." She scoffed. Quietly she shoved her hands into her pockets and began walking again.
Saika watched from the shadows. Not really sure if she should help the human.... or leave him to his own demise. Quietly she watched from the trees. "Help him..... and he might go back and tell everyone of the creatures that live here..... let them kill him and...." She muttered as if weighing her options. "If I save him he can tell the others how awful this place is and maybe humans will want to stay away from here more." She muttered, waiting for her chance.
Jerith shook his head. "What is wrong with her..." He managed to mutter as he watched Zoran leave. Quickly he looked back at the other two. His hand we lightly pressed to his waist as he looked at them. No form of fear or any other emotion anywhere on him.
((Sorry.... kinda brain dead. XD ))
(( Sorry for the wait on Conner's part, I've been... away. ))
Conner flinched slightly at the sight of Ivan's tears, and he shoved his hands into his pockets to hide the fact that black crescents from his nails already dotted his palms. Emotions twisting his gut, he wanted so, so desperately to tell Ivan, to tell him everything. To finally get it out to a human that he was different, to finally come into the light and try to find an actual friend. Maybe even a-
-no, no, not now.
But what if he did tell? What would it do to Ivan? He'd have to be watched, and undoubtedly he would be sought out by any others that learned the secret had been given. Hunted, chased to a place nobody would find him, and suffocated, broken, mangled and worse.
Still that annoying, tingling thing of hope in the back of his mind whispered that Conner could keep Ivan safe. If nothing else, he knew he could elude, he could hide and run and be unseen even in the simplest of places. But really, what kind of life would that be for Ivan? What would it do to him?
He drew in a soft breath, then looked back to Ivan a little more gently. Already he had both contacts stuck on one finger, and his tail was discretely wrapping itself up around his back to clear the pant cuff. He could "show" Ivan he was human, and it would be so easy just to let it all go. Place the blue contact over his red iris, then lift away the remaining as if he were taking one out. Then show him that there was nothing where he saw 'twitching' in his pant leg, only perfectly normal skin underneath. He had done the trick before, it was flawless to the very touch.
He knew this would be the right thing to do. He parted pallid lips to say the words so cautiously practiced, in a tone he melted and beat down until it sounded sincere.
"I'm not like you, Ivan, no. I'm not like any of you," he murmured, lifting out the pair of contacts to show the boy, then crushing them mercilessly between his fingers and letting the remains fall to the forest floor. There he watched them, irises burning with sadness, bitterness, hatred, and that pesky little flicker of hope. He bit his tongue, waiting for a reaction from Ivan as he felt the demon inside him sulking away.
Ivan watched carefully. His icy blue eyes taking note of every little movement Conner made. He couldn't help but wonder what was going to happen next... what would Conner say... what would Conner do? What was going through Conner's mind? Hurry and answer... please.... all I ask is that you be honest with me.... The mental scream echoed in the far reaches of Ivan's mind. Answer me... Was repeated by a voice that didn't quite seem his own. He continued to stand there... waiting... Finally, Conner answered. "You can tell me anything... and everything if you wanted to..." He said softly. Without even thinking he rose his hand and gently placed it on Conner's shoulder. ((Sorry for the fail of a post. V_V ))
There were so many in the world he would have either flinched from or broken their fingers for the same thing the human did, but he didn't so much as bl[injection]ink at Ivan. As sickly conflicted as he was at the moment, it was the closest thing to comforting it could be. His throat was tight enough that he couldn't really have said anything even if he had wanted to, so he remained silent for a while, trying to compose himself without letting it show through. When he did speak, it was with a softness that almost sounded like a failed attempt at turning cold, "I don't think that's a good idea, Ivan."
(( Welcome back~ ))
[[Thanks <3Okay so I have been putting this off, but I think its time I write something and try to get back into character. Sorry if I am a little rusty.]]
There was another character into the scene now. And the way the voice quivered in fear of what was happening, she assumed the boy must be human. Apologies floated in the air untouched. Then it was silent. This wasn't the silence that she had grown up with her whole life, no, this was a tense and action filled silence. A shot of agony ran down her spine as she shivered tensely. She was holding back her wants and desires and strained her ears.
Some words were spoken by the boy with his life on the line and then the from the snowy haired guy. A few more characters came into play. She could feel the presence of two girls she had met earlier this day. One back at the tree and one that caused the two love birds to go off to a different field.
A small knot in her neck made her even more in agony than she already was. All she wanted was the girl to lead her to the demon-shifter she was so interested in. She didn't care what happened to the human boy, what happened to the girl who was blood thirsty, the guy who had a sharp hatred for humans, the girl who sabotaged her eavesdropping or the curious shape shifter she had met earlier today.
She took a deep breath and released the shadows that were hiding her. She was over thinking things and she knew it. This isn't the same Petie that followed the demon wolf around. Something has changed me, and I think it was when the humans came into the forest and lots of them got killed. She thought to herself. I want the old me back. She thought, as she transitioned herself mentally to make that happen.
The wind blew around her. Her shadow made dress blew around her legs. Her black eyes were genitally shut. Her copper red hair bounced in the wind and her fair skin had started to turn peach at the cheeks. Then, her ear let go, for the first time in a while, and just focused on the environment around her. The birds were flapping their wings in a slow but steady beat, the squirrels were scurrying up trees, bunnies hopped on the ground, being careful not to make sound. It seemed like all the wildlife in the forest was still, which was utterly uncommon. Something was very off in the forest today, and she knew it had to do with them. All of them were making everything in the forest scared.
Petie couldn't take the change in the forest. She couldn't take this waiting. The hankering she was feeling wasn't going to fix itself. She knew the only way she would go back to being her careless, naive self, was to get rid of the people in the forest. Her impulse to find her adventure, to find the demon-shifer, would have to stop because she knew that her boring life could never be that exciting.
She opened her dark eyes and readiness shone. She turned in the direction of the field everyone was at, and started to walk. Petie had no idea how she was going to leave but she was going to make them. And if she couldn't, then she would leave. Something she has never done before.
[[Sorry for such an odd post. I was read this whole thread all over again just for a recap on my character, stupid I know, but I had no idea what to put.]]
((Really sorry for being absent for so long. Whenever I got on, I only had enough time to get food for my pets so they wouldn't die. Really, really, really sorry you guys!!! I'll try not to let that happen ever again.))
The moment he grabbed me, my head clouded and my vision blackened. I stumble backwards a few feet and fall onto the ground. I'm unsure of what's happening to me, other then the overloaded feeling I'm getting. I could tell I was in pain, by the way my fingers gored into the earth and the way I clenched my teeth. My eyes were open, but not a single bit of light or anything else could penetrate the blackness that overtook them. Fear soon began to swallow me and I was sure I was screaming. Flashes of immense pain and emotions were the only things that I could feel and they were horrid. Thankfully, it didn't last long, at least I think so.
My muscles tensed as I felt Forra. She was terrified and was experiencing a lot of pain. I quickly say, "Luffy!" And the next thing I know, I'm surrounded by darkness. Moments later, light, sound and the smells of the forest entering dusk poured in. I was standing just feet from Forra, who was currently screaming from an unknown pain. Two boys were with her, one wasn't human, but the other was. "Take care of the human." I ordered Luffy. He complied and went over the boy. I quickly make my way to Forra and the other boy and ask, "What happened?"
The look on Tristons face changed and I could tell something was wrong and that it had to do with Forra. All I noticed was the anguish in Forras screaming. When he said my name, I quickly locate Forra and begin to transport us to her location. The scene held Forra, the boy from earlier and a new face. I was ordered to deal with this new person, a human. Once again, I comply and quickly head over to him. I grab the boy by the collar of his shirt and proceed to drag him some thirty feet away from everyone. My purple eyes look down at the boys oddly, in-human eyes. I quickly say, "Leave and forget what you saw here today. If you speak of this event to anyone, you will regret it.
((I decided it's about time this first day starts to come to a close. The daylight is quickly fading and night will soon be upon us. The reason the forest is considered haunted is not because of vampires or werewolves, but something more dark and mysterious. Creatures that solely dwell in the night and won't think twice at taking a human victim. Some of these creatures are even feared by the non-humans and dare not venture into the forest at night. Be sure to get somewhere safe or you just might get some creatures unwanted attention. This includes the unwary and foolish non-humans as well.
I'll be adding another part to the deions on the first page. It'll be about the forest at night and a few other places at night as well.))
