Ket didn't even bother to process the pushing of the boy back into the meadow, but watched the girl to blame with a nearly murderous glare until she disappeared once more into the woods. He nearly hissed at the intruder that this was beyond him, but before he could even part his lips he had frozen to the bone. Forra's first scream filled him nearly to the limit with sudden horror, the crippling feeling leaving him stunned beyond movement. His entire being stilled what could only have been a second, but what felt like an eternity wrapped in a momentIt took an astounding amount of self-jarring, but once the initial shock fled him he had whipped around and dropped to his knees by her side.

He reached out a hand to shake the sudden shift from her, but stopped himself only a fraction of an inch away from her skin. What would it do to her? Even if he only tried to help and comfort her, what were the possibilities that could unravel in consequence? He hesitated, wide-eyed and utterly helpless in his own way.

He didn't hear the other's arrival, nor did he see it. But the question made it through, even if just barely. Ket turned his frantic stare up to the man, pleading in his voice and no thought in his head but one.

"Help her, please! I'm sorry, I'm so sorry, just help her!" he begged, backing away from her form on all fours as he turned from Forra to the only one he had any hopes could aid her.

[[Hello! Wow it has been so long! I have been gone from the 15th and just got home today, and I was going to apologize for the wait but it seems like I wasn't the only one gone ^^ Anyways I hope you are having or had great trip traveling Lacortori]]

Time seemed to go by so slow while she walked through the forest to get to the field. And eerie feeling started to swarm through the forest air and the canopy above her started to sway with wind that had grown a bit chill. Her foolish determination still stained her black eyes and twigs crunched under her bare feet. She was almost their. She would get her way she would! A scream pierced the air that stop Petie cold in her tracks. She doubled backwards not knowing if the scream was from a human or an animal or something supernatural.

Petie let a shaky breath escape her lips, one she didn't know she had been holding for several second. She felt like her head was spinning with an overwhelming emotion. An emotion that could have came from the heart stopping scream or the realization that night was almost upon the forest. The day that never seemed to come to an end was about to end and reveal the dangers with in.

She looked back the way she had came and forward again. Going back to safety seemed like the smartest choice, though she wasn't sure she would make it in time. She thought about the burrow - that could easily fit two people - that she camouflaged years ago in case she couldn't make it to her house in time. Yes, the burrow would do. Petie started to turn around when she remembered all the people in the forest that couldn't seem to find their way out. The 'con' she mustered up back fired. She knew that if she went back to safety that the forest would clear up by tomorrow, either by running for their life or dying.

Her plan seemed fool proof. She would be safe and her life will be back to normal in no time. That's what she wanted, right? Then why wasn't she walking? She looked down to her dirty feet and shifted the earth beneath her with her big toe, like a child who had made the wrong decision and was in trouble.

Petie looked up to the trees and scanned the area around her with her hearing and as far as she could see. It seemed quite safe - for the moment at least - and spun on her heels and ran to the edge of the field where all the action was going on. She scanned the field. A human boy, it seems, backing away from the field and from a dark form. The demon-shifter! Her eyes lit up and her hunger for adventure sparked a wild fire with in her. She took a step out of the clearing to redeem herself, but as quick as it came, it settled to a small flicker waiting to be fed.

She continued to scan the area still a step out into the clearing. This action was getting way too familiar. The two snowy haired people were on the forest floor. One in pain and one with sorrow. There was also a guy who seemed familiar from earlier, in this long day. But with all these people who were visibly in the clearing, Petie knew there were on lookers too, one of which herself.

((Sorry I was gone for so long guys.))

"I know I haven't known you for very long-" He began. Ivan's blue eyes turned to Conner again after looking up at the leaves that blocked his vision's path to the sky.
Ivan looked fragile as if the slightest little think would completely shatter him. "But I care about you... you can tell me anything. I won't run... and I won't tell anyone else." He said, firmly standing his ground. Slowly he pulled his hand back and allowed it to dangle limply at his side.

~~~
Saika scoffed slightly as she watched two new boys enter the area. "Well, I'm not helping him. The human isn't any of my concern." She said as she jumped ot of the tree she was in and morphed just before she hit the ground. She darted off in the opposite direction of the clearing most of the others were at and made her way towards the Willow's clearing. Once she was there she lied against the trunk of the tree. Silently Saika debated on where to return to her little apartment or sleep here under the tree's limbs as she'd done a couple times before.
~~~

Zoran continued walked until she reached the outer edges of the forest. She looked up at the sky and sighed. "A whole day... wasted..." She muttered as she walked away from the forest. Her black hair shifted slightly with the wind as she walked, her bangs falling over her crystal blue eyes even more than they usually were.

~~~
Jerith finally managed to get to his feet. "I don't even know WHAT I saw here today... so why would I tell anyone about it? I'd like to keep my reputation as a sane person, thank you." He said with a shake of his head as he back away from the one who'd drug him there with out a problem.
(( It's alright, I personally know the feeling. Great to have you back <3 ))
He leaned into the receding hand as soon as Ivan showed a notion of retracting the touch, not wanting the weightlessness of standing alone quite yet. But as the hand dropped to Ivan's side, all he could do was hide his regret.
Ivan was right, they hardly knew each other. It didn't really matter. And when he said that he cared, Conner didn't come anything close to doubting it.
He chewed on his words for a long while, even though in the end they slipped without his intent, "It's getting dark out, it's time for us to go. I'll..." he almost choked again,"...we can talk on the way back?"
Why can't you just answer... then we talk on the way back...
A voice in the back of Ivan's mind hissed. But that voice wasn't him, so he payed no mind to it. "Sure." He replied and turned towards the direction they'd been walking. "If you're worried about other people hearing your answer to my question, we can talk behind closed doors." He paused for a second to try and figure out the rest of what he was going to say. "My apartment is empty for the next few days to a week. We can talk there if you'd like." He continued as he shoved his hands into his pockets. Slowly he turned his face towards the sky to see just how late it had gotten. When he looked up moments ago he wasn't really paying any attention to the dimness of the light around him... but now he could see small sections of golden hues where the leaves didn't cover.
((Glad to be back. ^_^ I feel missed. :-) ))
He was relieved when Ivan consented and started back toward the docks, even though he felt like it was the wrong comment to make after he said it. But only moments after, he was talking again.
"I'm so sorry, Ivan, this is just so...." he rubbed the back of his neck, grimacing a bit as he popped it. The stress was killing him, and he sighed quietly before continuing, "...this isn't easy. And I'm sorry that I'm hesitating, and I'm sorry that I'm putting so much onto you."
He waited, pulling his thoughts together as he walked.
"I owe more to you, I know that, and I'll make you a promise. I'll meet you tomorrow, any time you can name; I will be there," red irises glanced over at him, "I'll do more than talk... I'll... I'll show you, Ivan." he stared a bit nervously as he waited for a reply.
Ivan listened to him intently. His blue eyes watching Connor as the two of them walked. Many thing ran through his head in that short span of time... but none of them stayed long enough for Ivan to fully grasp what they were. The whole situation made his head spin. He was only a human after all... what did he know about the secrets that this little town hid? Nothing... absolutely nothing... to him demons, witched, vampires, werewolves, lycans, shape shifters... all of those things were only thing that were in stories or table-top rpgs.... and stuff like that. How was the little human to know he'd run into something like that?
Connor's words ran though his mind again. "I'm not like you... I'm not like any of you." That phrase, if any one else would have sad it, Ivan would have thought he or she was out of their mind. But the on going seriousness made him wonder what exactly he'd stumbled upon.
While walking he kept his eyes focused on the trail ahead of them. The silence was long... or rather seemed that way... Finally Ivan spoke up. "From my point of view, you're not putting anything off onto me. As for spilling such a huge secret, what ever it may be; I can understand why you're hesitating." He began finally. His hands were shoved into the pockets of his jeans while they walked. He wasn't sure what to say next.. or what to do next. Truth be told, he wanted to pulled Connor to the side and hug him. Not a simple hug, but a hug to show he was actually there and actually cared... words meant nothing with actions... that he firmly believed. "What ever time is easiest for you. I'm up around six or seven in the morning. I don't have to work tomorrow, so I'll be home all day." He finally finished.
((Would of posted yesterday, but my parents decided that they wanted to start doing a family night. We watched Despicable Me, which was funny and awesome. So in the end, I had a somewhat good time.))
Finally, my mind slipped from the pressure and I pass out. To onlookers, I probably looked dead, with the lack of breathing and everything. Since I was a vampire I didn't breath often and my heart beats at a much slower pace, maybe once or twice a minute.
I stare down at the boy, who was begging for me to help Forra. I crouch down beside Forra and him and say, "Why do you think I'm here?" My gaze turns to Forra and a frown forms on my face. Judging by the way she was acting, I assume what she spoke of in her diary, may be happening to her right now. I watch as her body begins to still and I sense her mind slip into unconsciousness. I grab her practically lifeless body and hold her in my arms. I stand and look over to Luffy, who was now coming back. "We're bringing this boy with us." I said, while nodding to the white haired boy.
A small grin touched the corners of my mouth as I stare at the boy. I laugh and pat him on the back. "Well, I'm sure if you don't speak of this, at all, you're sanity will remain intact." I laugh again and say,"Now leave, before the sun sets." I turn to leave and mutter under my breath, "Maybe..." Referring to his sanity. I walk back into the clearing and listen to what Triston says. I reply with a simple, "Whatever." I shove my hands into my pockets and walk over to them. My eyes wander to Forra, who was out cold in Triston's arms.
Jerith shook his head and began walking out of the forest. Thankfully, to him, he wasn't that far into the woods to begin with. He muttered a thing or two under his breath before he made way for his house.
(( That moment when you know people are waiting on you but you want so desperately to go to sleep. ))
Ket was slow to stop, his voice growing ever softer and softer, "Please Forra, I'm so sorry, I'm so sorry... please, please... please..." he folded himself into a ball, staring at her. Then his gaze flickered down to his hands. They could all touch her, they could all do good. He couldn't do the same. He felt the burn of oncoming tears, but made no move to hide them as they rolled silently down his cheeks.
He was nothing but a monster.
He didn't need to look up to know that the boy had already taken her, nor to know that another was approaching. When he was spoken to, he didn't give the others the courtesy of knowing that he had heard.
But then he looked back up to Forra.
The only ones he didn't want hurt were the ones he seemed to hit the hardest. He should run away, and leave her without ever coming back. She would be better off. And yet as heavily as he weighed the thought, he knew he wouldn't be able to go without knowing that she would be okay. It was greedy, but he didn't care.
After that he was standing with one hand on the other elbow, hunched over with his eyes at the ground like an contrite, injured puppy. He knew he would follow.
Conner watched the other out of the corner of his eye as he walked. What I wouldn't give to know what he's thinking. The harbor lights were starting to become visible through the trees in the distance, and he was already chewing on what he was going to say when Ivan spoke up. In reply, Conner nodded, "I'll show up some time around eight, then." The lights were even more obvious and far closer now.
Pleads of forgiveness spewed from the figure hunched over on the ground. His back was to her but from the looks of his posture and the agony in his voice, she could tell those pleads were sincere. It was strange that this guy who had seemed so violent and monstrous earlier that day had grown feelings and a heart. Petie furrowed her eyebrows at the notion but she couldn't help but feel heart broken for him. This truly was like a story she could only imagine reading about.
She took a step forward, not knowing what to do, but feeling like she should help in some way. She had, had a weird day, and if anything, this was the moment of redemption she was looking for. As selfish as that sounded, Petie really was concerned for Forra, as she recalled them calling her. She didn't seem like the kind of person who deserved this kind of madness.
Petie stepped closer to the heart of the clearing. She tried her best to keep her excitement contained and the fluttering in her chest locked up as she got closer to the demon-shifter. But to do so it consisted of pretended he wasn't there and avoiding his eye contact.
This wasn't the time for losing her voice, but she could feel her throat tight up as she hovered over them. What was she going to say? Need some help? No. What could she possibly do to help? It was getting dark and they needed to get out of here soon, but how-
"It's getting dark." Petie said. Her voice a croak at first but then evening out. "I suggest we get out of here soon." She gave Forra, and the guy who was holding her a short glance until her eyes landed upon the white-haired boy that now stood. And stood quite a bit taller than her, like most people do. "Creatures from your worst nightmares come out to play in this forest." She concluded, still in disbelief that this monster could turn out to be so normal. She tore her eyes away from him and looked at the others, feeling a little silly warning them about something, she assumed, they already knew.
[[Blech. I didn't know what to write.]]
Unconscious....
I looked at the boy, who looked horribly depressed and conflicted. With a stern voice I say, "It's not your fault, ok. She's in pain right now because she didn't tell me about this... power. So the only person to blame is her and... myself, for not seeing this." I had to stop for a moment before I continued speaking. "So stop moping and get your act together. It won't help her or you in any way." I turn to Luffy and am about to tell him to take us to her place when a female voice from behind him speaks up.
I turn around when I hear a familiar voice. "Yeah, we kind of already know that kid." I especially know this because I used to be like these dark creatures. Glad I'm no longer one, but I still don't like being with that idiot of a master. At least having Forra around helps liven things up. I feel my mood sink when I think of Forra, but shrug it off. My gaze burns into the girls and I say, "Go kid."
Her feet stayed firmly on the ground beneath her. She wasn't going to leave, it was too late to turn back now. Petie turned her head towards the guy she had been trying to ignore. She glared at him for a moment, "I am not a kid! Stop calling me that! And if you knew then why aren't you heading out of here?" She snapped. It wasn't that she was mad, he just... he just got under her sink, and make accusations that weren't necessarily true. I am 17 and have been on my own for years now. I think that makes me mature enough to be considered an adult. She ranted in her mind.
Petie turned her face away from him and now sunk her black eyes onto the guy in front of her who was carrying Forra and seemed to be the leader here. "If you wouldn't mind," she hesitated for a second, not knowing how to address him, "Sir," It seemed out of place to call this stranger Sir in the predicament they were in, but she hoped it made her seem less of a 'kid'. "I would be happy to help you in anyway I can. You never know if you will need an extra hand." She said trying to spit it out as fast as she could for Forra's sake and also bracing herself for denial.
Before she gave this leader guy a warm and begging smile, she shot a glance at the demon-shifter and said quietly, "I can't leave now, I would be a sitting duck if I dared to go to home."
(( I love the way you put Forra's status, Tiger. XD ))
"This isn't the first time I've done this to her," he whispered, almost inaudibly. He was about to say more after that, but the word "moping" silenced him completely. He despised that word with all of his being, but at this point no anger touched him. He knew the boy was right, and now it wouldn't do either of them any good if he were to snap. He fell silent again, then looked up with tired eyes as the girl came up and addressed him. At the nightmare comment, me merely snorted and turned his eyes away.
He listened to the exchange between the shadow boy and the newcomer, under the sudden assumption that they had already met. At the pause in the argument, he spoke up grimly, "She's right, we could use all the hands we can get. It's not going to do any of us any good to stand here and keep her waiting," he glanced at Forra, then to the boy holding her, "Lead the way, please."
