Taylor peered up from her underwater world at the figure shimmering above her domain. A stone skipped over the water three times and by the third skip, Taylor had resurfaced. She breathed in the sweet air thankfully, though her lungs had only begun to burn slightly after holding her breath for a good five minutes. She heaved herself up onto dry land and her seaweed dressing fell around her in waves. Maksis, her brother, sat down on the shore and waited for her to approach.

Taylor cast her gaze around the area, making sure that there was no one else, but Maksis. She trusted her brother, but one could never be too cautious. She skipped over to him and sat down on the beach towel he had brought. As always, Maksis wore his easy-going smile as she sat down. She could tell he was unhappy though, by the crease of his forehead. "What's wrong?" Taylor asked and Maksis sighed before pulling a piece of bread out of the picknick basket.

"Same old, same old. I'm just sick of you having to live like this." He said and caught his fingers in her hair as the wind blew. "You're hair is oily and thick from all that time you spend underwater. Your skin is colder and always clammy. You shouldn't have to be in hiding all the time." Maksis said sourly.

Taylor touched her brother's shoulder while moving his hand away from her hair. "There's nothing we can do about it." She said sadly before picking at the bread. "How many of us are even left? Ten, twenty? Do you think the others are anywhere near us?" Taylor asked. Maksis sighed and shrugged.

"Maybe I could ask the sea creatures to look for me. I'm sure they wouldn't mind." Taylor said and Maksis avoided her gaze. "Hey, I know it's weird that I can understand and talk to sea creatures, but that's just me adapting to my environment." she said and Maksis hung his head.

"I don't want you to adapt. I want you to live." He said before standing up. He threw his coat over his shoulder and gave her a small wave. "I'll be seeing you tomorrow then. I'll sniff around town for some information on the other girls if you want. See ya." He said and before Taylor could stop him, he was gone.

Taylor pounded her fist into the sand angrily. She took another bite of bread furiously before chucking it into the water. She immediately felt bad for wasting the food and became more frustrated with herself because of it. "Stupid water!" She shouted and then hushed herself. She only hoped that no one heard her.

((Lol so Taylor can speak to sea animals while Crystal can speak to land animals. 8D

And no one is supposed to know how many girls are left. :P))

Diamond purred, rubbing her body on Crystal's bare legs. She bent down to stroke Diamond, smiling.  Sure, she had many 'friends' in the forest (which consisted of animals), but Diamond was her favorite.  Diamond was still a little young, but was grown up enough to be able to hunt on her own.  Crystal continued to stroke Diamond, and then got up.

"Now what to do..?" She wondered aloud, thinking what to do next.

Angel looked over the mountain. Rocks crumbled where she stood. She sighed. Shibaan nuzzled her. " I know, but what if there's no boys left? What if I'm the only one here?" she said. Shibaan growled. She pointed to the cliff, where she could see the city. Angel peerd over."Ugh, guss I'm wroung! But, what if any girls ae left?" she asked the wolf.

Shibaan tilted her head.Angel sighed. She waned human contact, or at least really clothes.She loved her wolf-mother, but she wanted to see a person.

((Angel, how could she not know if there aren't any men left? xD  There are tons. :P  It's only the girls that the world lacks. xD

Daisy, if you want to, then yeah, I wouldn't mind. xD  As long as he doesn't ruin her secret or anything by telling everyone.

((Alright, Then. He's not much of a tattle-tale, just a wuss for Flowers. XD))

Roku Absent-mindedly hummed and continued through the forest. He didn't notice how far he had gone, much farther then were he wanted too. His mind had been whirling about his recent Attack from a guy who Thought roku knew the location of a Girl. He shuddered. He was still healing from the cuts and bruises the burly man had given him before retreating into the forest. His safe Sanctuary. Not many guys ventured here nowadays.

His attention was full alert as he noticed how far he had gotten ,and began to curse himself, but stopped in his tracks. A girl sat by a large, clear lake. The surface of the water glittered as the steady wind moved it. Hew tilted his head. Was it a guy? No, The Features were far to feminine. He leand forward, staring at the girl, then let out a shrill cryu as he lost his footing and tumbled down the hill, splashing into the water.

The icy H20 Shocked his body momentarily, then he began pushing himself up. His head burst through the water as he gasped and choked, hair soaked and dripping onto his face. He coughed, sputtering and spitting out some water before Cautiously climbing up on land and laying on his back, his chest heaving. He hated water. He was about 20 feet away from the girl, and slowly got up, looking at her through squinted eyes. His lungs burned, water had gotten into them. His nose, throat and eyes also stung, as he stared at her in disbelief, the slightest trace of bliushing appearing on his pale cheeks.

Crystal gasped, staring at him in shock.  A person!  She hadn't seen one for....... who knows how long?  He had just fell into the water, but she was way too shocked to be able to help him.  And.... he was male.  The gender she had been avoiding for years.  Although he was a bit far she still could see him, and when she heard him let out a shrill cry thats when she had noticed him.  Right now she was just going through the events, and was also trying to remember the last time she saw a person that wasn't herself.

Finally, she managed to say a few words, though she stuttered.  "W-who are you?" She asked nervously, walking up to him, Diamond following close to her heels.  "A-and y-you're male!" She shuddered, and Diamond growled.  Crystal put one hand on Diamond to tell her not to attack, and then continued to stare at the young man.  It felt so weird to see a person since she hadn't seen anyone but herself for a very long time.

By then, roku's Cheeks were bright red and he was still huffing. Trying to get his bearings, He stuttered, wheezing a bit before squeazing out his Dark brown hair. It was completely out of shape, flat and wet. He looked embara.ssed, Shocked, and rather curious all at the same time. he watched her aproach cautiously. I swear to god this is some Guy acting liek a girl.. His suspisions were proven false when she stammered abouth is gender. He scratched the back of his neck awkwardly, then deciding his throat could survive a voice words.

"I-I'm... Roku.... And you are...?" He Paused to cough multiple points in his sentance, his voice thick and scratchy, somewhat gravelly. He nervously began tracing his birthmark once more. "A-are you one of the.... Girls...?" He asked, shuffling awkwardly. She had a cheetah that looked like it was about to kill him, and she seemed terrified of him. Great, my first impression on her was falling into a lake! Good going, Idiot!" He cursed himself in his mind.

Crystal didn't respond.  Telling her name would make it obvious she was female, and his other question would easily give away her secret, too.  She doubted that he was one of those men who literally kill themselves just to get some girl to be with them, or at least get violent and abusive when trying to be with the girl, but what she didn't doubt was that he might tell her secret to others just for money.  Like, he could say, "Hey, I know where one of the few girls are hiding.  Gimme 100 bucks for the secret." And if the person believes him, they'd pay him 100 bucks and he could reveal her hiding place to them.

But not responding would make him suspicious, so she quickly thought of something to say.  "Um, i'm-" And she tried to find a name, and the first male name that popped into her head was the one she said.  "Brian." She finished quickly, hoping that she hadn't acted fake, like made it obvious that she faking.  Wait, but then what was her explanation for her looking female?  She had the name thing done already, but she needed a reason to back up her lie.  He would think she was lying if she said her name was male and she looked clearly feminine, unless he just as.sumed she was gay.  Wait, that was it!  Although she hated even the thought of saying it, if she told him that she was gay that would make sense.

"And i'm gay." She added, trying not to talk to fast.  When she was lying she tended to talk fast because she felt like they could tell she was lying.  "I'm a gay man who wants to look and act female, so please, please don't tell anyone.  I want to imitate a female person, and if my secret were out everyone would know the truth." She said. trying to do her best to imitate someone with that kind of 'please don't tell anyone' look in her eye to appear to actually be gay and not want anyone to know.
