Hmm what? Oh um nothing just a bit...on edge I guess." Raven replyed as she looked away from the starnge thing and to Firefly. Raven sniffed the air scenting the sweet smell Zavi had pointed out "Yeah I do smell it." Raven looked up at the air quizzically, "I guess it searched the area because it's scent it everywhere."Raven added.

Gambit nodded and also smelled the air, "We need to see if we can find out where the scent is coming from now. If we can that is." The sun had fully sunken behind the horizon by now and made the field dark untill Gambits eyes had adjusted. Being a Chupacabra his eyes, like the others, were adapted to to seeing in the dark.

Firefly watched her for a few more moments' time, before turing back to the others. Something seemed to have changed in him, he felt older, his senses seemed sharper, more alert. He was also able to pay attention for longer periods of time, at least when something serious was happening, like right now. In fact, now he could tell when something serious had come up, he could read it in the others' faces. He had come of age at last. "Well, does it matter where the scent's coming from, we can assume the creature followed the goats, so if we track it, we should either run into it on its way back here, or find it when we find the goats," Firefly put in, looking around at them all. He didn't think they should track it to its starting point, there could be more creatures, and they didn't yet know if it was dangerous.

Zavi listened carefully, making sure she caught very word. She agreed with both Raven and Firefly, now she waited to see what Gambit would decide. She no longer had any input, so she sat down on her haunches, waiting.

"We came here to hunt so lets follow the goats and if we find the creatur then we can deal with it." Gambit decided. He quickly turned and sniffed the air following the goats scent away from the field. He could smell worrie and fright in the goats scent but also a bit of curiousity as well. The owner of the strange fury scale must have either chased or attacked the goats.

Raven followed Gambit along with the others sniffing the air as they whent. She looked over at Firefly who was standing up straighter and even with just that small change in his apearence he look so much older. Raven thought back to what he had said about finding the creature and realized he had sounded older then. It was weird and Raven wasn't sure what to make of it so she kept her mouth shut and looked back at the ground.

Puffing out his chest, Firefly fell into step beside Raven. The forest loomed up in front of them, eerily. He noticed she seemed to be averting her gaze from his, and was looking at the ground. "Hey," he murmured, nosing her. "You could at least acknowledge that I'm here, you're acting like you're trying to ignore me."

Zavi slunk at the back of the group, sulking slightly. Of course now that Gambit was here, everything was better, nobody listened to her that much, nobody had cared that she might have been in danger while near the creature. Suddenly, Zavi noticed drag markes on the loose soil, as if the animal had a long tail. She opened her mouth to say something, but then shut it. Why should she tell the others what she'd found?

Raven looked back at Firefly is chest puffed out resembling Gambits stature quite a bit," I'm not trying to ignor you." Raven started and searched a moment for the right words to explain what she was thinking, "Your just....different now. I'm not sure if it's a bad thing yet it's just a bit sudden is all." Raven looked forward and sped up seeing as they were falling a bit behind.

"Look we can talk when we get back but we kind of have something a bit more important going on right now." Raven away from Firefly looking forward and keeping her eyes steady.

Gambit looked down as his paw felt an indentation in the ground. He slowed down seeing a soft rut in the ground probably from something dragging possibly the tail of the creature. Gambit quickened his pace again as he followed the trial and the scent to where the goats were. They were on the other side of a canyon a thin strip of rock acting as a bridge the only thing between them and the goats...and whatever had chased them here.

Zavi glared ahead as Gambit paused mid-stride. What had he found? By craning her neck around Raven's side, he could see him examining something on the ground. No, he's found the drag marks! Zavi snarled angrily to herself, resentment boiling up inside her. Trotting quickly, she pushed roughly past Firefly, and came to stand next to Gambit. She glared at him, not sure how to say anything without sounding accusing. If she did that, she'd get her fur ripped off faster than she could suck the blood out of a goat.

Firefly paused beside Raven. He brushed her pelt lightly with his nose. "They've found something," he murmured quietly, so the others didn't hear. He stuck his nose to the ground, looking for any signs of strange marks on the ground himself, determined not to start acting childish. But there was nothing there.

Gambit looked up about to talk when he saw Zavi with an angry expretion on her muzzle, "Um..yes?" He asked looking at the female quizzically. She didn't seem in a very good mood today though she rarely was in a 'good' mood. Her moods tended to be either angry, irratable, or focused but never truely happy. Some times it concerned him the way he hadn't ever seen her enjoy herself or atleast not in a long while.

Raven nodded slightly to Firefly though didn't look his way. she peered around Gambit to see what he was looking at and saw the small rut. She tilted her head pressing her noes to the ground softly taking in what scent she could but found nothing out of the ordinary. She started pawing at it lightly trying to find fur or feathers or possibly a scale.

Zavi opened her mouth to speak, but the words caught in her throat. "Um...." was all she managed. Her anger seemed to dissolve as she gazed at Gambit, he was obly doing what he thought was best for the pack. Finally, Zavi allowed her words to come out, though they weren't what she was originally going to say. "What do you think made those, the goat-chaser?" she wondered to Gambit.

"See anything?" Firefly whispered to Raven. He decided to examine the track for himself, peering catiously down at it. "Well, whatever it was, this looks like a tail mark," he murmured to himself. There was a feather snagged in a nearby tussock of grass, and Firefly briefly wondered if it belonged to the same creature that had made the rut in thr ground.
