Max pulled behind an oak and into a defensive crouch, the bullet wounding her. Pain shot up her arm and she needed to get away. She could feel the aura of anger coming from the human and didn't want to feed that. putting the bow back, Max clutched her arm to stop the blood and sulked behind a nearby pine. The human was now faster and that was a threat to her being.

Creek stopped and looked off into the forest. First he thought he heard the sound of an arrow hitting a tree then the gunshot came. "Ace get the kid, im going to see whats going on" He told her, he grabbed his bow and arrow and ran through the woods in search of where the noise came from

Ace picked up the small child and said," If you see any VERY quickly moving arrows, it's either an elf, or a vampire." She mounted Soldier and waited. AS Creek took off she called after him,"Well played duel."

Creek ran and saw the arrow in the tree and yelled to ace hoping she would hear. "Its an elf, definatly, the arrow says it all!" he kept running and saw the girl from ealier aiming the gun at a tree. He ran and slide kicked her leg out from under her and pinned her down with his bow "What the hell did you shot?!?!?"

"Well," Ace said appearing out of no where with the child,"We need to be escorted directly to Varinel {Vair-een-ell}, the prophecy has fortold we need to seek out this promised city and visit the queen." ~ Meanwhile, the rest of their comrades back at the base were overcome. The parasite Nero had finally come to control Calyx as soon as Ace and Creek left. Now, there was no where left to go back to except Varinel...

"Ace keep this one down ill find the elf" He told her and walked direclty towards the tree she was aiming at and put down his bow and daggers. he turned around the tree to see the alf and spoke slowly "We got the one who shot you, we need yor help, its a matter of a species survival."

"It's not a matter of a species survival, it's a matter of our entire worlds survival." Ace interjected, keeping a close eye on the girl. She didn't need trouble now, and wouldn't tolerate it later.

"I don't know what the hell I shot, it shot me!" She grabbed her leg and got up. "What the hell was that for!?" She pointed her gun at the tree. "That thing, whatever it is, shot me and missed." Her face was red with anger at the thing, and at the guy that had just kicked her.

"Be quiet." Ace snapped, she wasn't in the mood for any for of conversation for teh time being. She went back to looking off into the distance. Ace didn't need to watch Bree, it's not like she posed any threat any way, even if she had a gun.

Max had fainted. She was barely awake and, without opening her eyes, tried to stumble to her feet, only to hit the ground. Hard. Her body now ached while her arm throbbed. She didn't know where she was at all. It made her feel vulnerable. She regretted shooting at the threat but, needed to get away. Tears stained her cheeks and her uninjured hand came back to meet the cool metal of her axe. Max rolled on her back, then into a crouch, her eyes blurry from the tears.

Max's staff came into both hands and she piveted to face the speaker that she had recognized. There were slight mechanical sounds as the mas.sive battle axe unfolded into it's true form. She held it closer to her, ready to reflect any bullets. She slurred in her native tongue at the human, not caring if she wouldn't understand. Max hissed angrily, her tired muscles straining to stay tight in her crouch. Her dark tendrils of hair fell around her face but, her arm would both wouldn't be able to hold the heavy axe on it's own or have enough energy to push the hair from her face. She hated being underestimated for her small and fragile size, she strength, agility and the will to fight.

She finally got a clear look at the 'thing'. It looked human. Bree gasped. "Oh, oh my gosh. I was supposed to bring back food, not an injured person." Then, she heard it talk in an unknown language. "I'm sorry. I didn't know you were an elf." She could recognize the elven language, but she couldn't understand it. She saw the battle ax. "Hey, hey, chill out. I didn't mean to shoot you." She pointed her gun towards Max.
