Ace could sense the tension between herself and Bree. She approached her riding atop of her war horse Soldier."We are going to be on our way, If you know what best for you, leave.", Ace said gently, yet it was firm and very commanding. Ace didn't approve of competition and she wasn't used to losing ANY kind of battle.

Calyx,managing to force the worm to be dormant, crashed through the trees and collapsed at Soldiers left side of hid flank. "Base...destroyed..men...captured..." was all he managed to get out before pa.ssing out.

Ace lept down and said,"What do you mean the base is destroyed and our men are captured?!?!" She swore and threw her dagger so it struck home at the heart of a young maple tree. Ace pulled the blade from it and growled,"There's been a change of plan, we're going back to the city." She was angry that her men had been captured, now all that was left was saving them before they were controlled by one of their blasted parasites. "This means war has begun early." she said before Soldier kicked his m*censored*ive musclely front legs into the air and whinnied.

Bree turned around, hearing branches breaking. She was still a bit miffed about what Ace had said to her, but didn't care. Night stomped his feet on the ground, absorbing Bree's emotions. He let out a snort, alerting Bree that something was behind them. A grunt sounded in the bushes, it definately wasn't human, nor elf. The grunt transformed into a roar as a bear came bounding out of the brush. Instead of Bree hunting the bear, the bear had been hunting her. She let out a squeal as the bear lunged towards her and Night. She fell backwards off of Night, causing her to land with an, "Oof," on the ground. Night ran away, getting away from the bear. The bear ran straight towards Bree. It put its m*censored*ive paws on each side of her and let out another vicious roar right in front of her face. Her dagger and her gun had fallen out of their place when she fell, causing them to be just out of reach.

Ace growled,"How would you feel if it was you being a bear and only protecting your territory from threats? Would you like the threat to unnecisarrily end your life?" She had great respect for all living things. She'd never killed unless it was necesarry. Ace showed mercy to all living things, yet, she would not allow the parasites to stand.

Calyx nodded trying to sit up,"Yes... Unfortunately for me, you must not trust me! When I was saved, they hid a worm in my head. It waited and waited until you left. Now, they're trying to get one of their parasites into the others..." he paused for a short breath and continued,"Although, I learned this process can take from a day to several weeks. We cannot give up on our comrades. No matter the cost, don't trust anything I'm telling you after this,it took me many mental struggles to overpower the parasite and I can only hold for so long..." he sighed and fell over just trying to regain his full mental state and comprehend what'd happened.

Ace couldn't see her reflection but only said,"There is more power to that pond than any I've ever known." She knew this was true, for the magic had been around for well over a millenia and nothing had been able to beat it so far.

Calyx padded over to the edge of the pond as well, he could see a spotted cat from a far away land... he'd seen it once before... what was it called? Aw yes, a cheetah, the eyes were a crystal clear icy blue. He'd never seen such a pure color. He gasped as an alien form appeared next to it....

Ace said allarmed,"what is it?"

Calyx said,"I think I see the aliens true appearance." An that he did, He could also see a unique blue deer, it's horns were black and it had four eyes,all bright orange, and four slits for a nose. It also had six legs. The hooves were normal and black. He looked it over more and saw three large lime green spots on its hind quarters.

Ace looked too and said,"I think we can all see it!" The sight was more maginificent than anything she'd imagined, the deer appeared frightened,confused, and skittish. Perhaps this worm was less of a threat than she believed...

"No idea." Ace said.

Clayx said,"Well, the parasite seems to be giving a name of some sort of "Galactic buck" or something like that."

"Well no dur, It's from a distant planet obviously." Calyx said while rolling his eyes.

Ace sighed. This was going to be a long week.

Ace shrugged. "Now what?" She asked. No ideas came to mind for her, and no one had spoken a word yet.
