  Sybil smiled down at the list in her hands. The six new students joining the college were listed there, with their age, element, and pet. Her own new protoge was named Avalia. Fervently, Sybil hoped this year went well.

  Sarafina huffed heavily as she dragged her bags to the Mage Ship port. Her long black hair kept getting in her way and she threw it back over her shoulder wrathfully as she reached the bench where the mages-in-training were supposed to meet. She was so excited! Sara was really looking forward to meeting the others. She wondered it there would be anyone else with her element, how many boys there would be. If any of them would be cute... She suppressed this train of thought with a blush and giggle. Wondering when the other students would arrive, she plopped herself down on the seat and pulled out her book to wait.

Krov's mother rode with him to the shipport in the cab, he was glad his family had alittle money. As he got out of the car all he carried was a brown sack, that had his lunch in it. He waved good-bye to his mother and walked inside the building, it was huge and crowded full of people. He looked around the scenery amd sighed, he couldn't find anyone. Until he spotted a girl with black hair standing alone, and walked up to her.

It was all so strange...  Especially after years of living on that same mountain, in that same village, with that same family.  And now, Sidney found himself countless miles from home on a rickety old train, golden eyes focused on the ocean view outside.  The flawed tracks made for a ride that was a far cry from smooth.  Of course with all the better ways of travel, the locomotive had stopped recieving regular maintenance.

As if to make sure this wasn't make- believe, he retrieved the official note he'd recieved from the depths of his jacket pocket, gently unfolding it.  It detailed where he was to meet the others, of which there were five of.  This sparked his curiosity of what they were like and how they appeared.  His own refelction in a nearby mirror reminded Sid of how little he looked like his own element.  Though his honey- colored eyes seemed to flash and twinkle like lightning, he wondered how black hair could possibly represent electricity.

The train eased into a halt, clicking into place before the doors opened to let off the passengers, of which there were so few of.  With only his bag of spare clothing in hand, Sidney confidently set off to the port.  It was about fifteen minutes before he arrived on foot, wandering about aimlessly before he noticed a lone bench.  It looked fairly cramped already, meaning he'd just have to stand.  An awkward feeling soon overcame the mage, and he knew he'd have to be the one to break the silence.

"Hey..."  He started, eyes thoroughly surveying the group  "I'm Sidney, but you can call me Sid.  And you guys are...?"  He resisted the urge to stare at the undersized tiger that accompanied the girl dressed in nature.  Were those clothes made from real plants?  How creative, he thought.

Meanwhile, back at the college, Salem had just finished preparing a dorm for his new student.  He was quick to retreat to the top floor of the frigid building, excitement shown clearly in his movements.  He pushed his ice- lensed glasses up the bridge of his nose, long and sloppy silver hair falling in his face.  Currently, he had no classes scheduled, meaning he'd free time to practice his favorite hobby.  Ice skating.

The flat and polished surface of the classroom floor area made skating easy.  Skillfully, he twirled about the make- shift rink, wearing a pair of flat shoes instead of skates.  He didn't have a need for them, seeing as they only put divits in the delicate ice.

"Ah, journey by sea~" Amy sang, "and a journey, this journey will be~" She skipped along the street swinging her luggage back and forth while singing one merry tune after the other. Her seasnake came out of her jacket to smell the air every once and a while before hiding again, safe in a hidden pocket of her jacket. As Amy passed a fountain, its water rippled in her direction to the tune of her songs. There were more people ahead whom she guessed were headed to the mage transport as well, so she ceased her singing and straightened herself up before walking towards the docks. She nodded to them as she went past and decided to sit on the edge of the docks to stare at the sea. 

Out of boredom she practiced her water magic by making mini-typhoons a few inches above the water and sending them out in different directions. After making a few formations with them she stopped and took out her snake, using the water from the typhoons to slowly lower it into the water.

"Go find a snack before we leave kay?" she said to it. "I'll call you back before the boat comes, so be quick about it." The snake looked at her, then dove under the water to pick at shellfish clinging to the docks.

Amy leaned back and stared up at the sky, thinking about what she'd do at her new school. She looked over her shoulder to see the other students in the same boat as her. They all looked nice at least, one of them had a tiger, which intimidated her a bit, but she didn't mind.

"As long as it gets along with mine." she grumbled as the one in question broke from the water. "Done already?" she asked. Again the snake looked at her, so she used the water to make a small platform which rose to the height of her arm. The snake slithered on and the water dropped back to its original position.

"You look like you found something good." she told it, patting its rounded stomach with her pinkie finger. Without an answer it made its way back to her jacket where it fell soundly asleep. "You little lazy butt." Amy whispered before getting up and walking to join the others. 

Sylvia was only just getting on the train when she glanced at the time and groaned. She was late, by at least an hour. Sighing, she reached into her backpack and pulled out a book, turning to the last page she had been on, reading quickly, and getting out another book when she had finished.

About an hour later, she felt the train moving again, even though she hadn't felt it stop. Quickly yelling for it to stop, she jumped out the doors while it was still moving, if only slowly. Her leg was grazed, and she headed towards the building. Once inside, she looked around, and saw a young girl with a cat... Taking a step back and glancing again, she realized it wasn't a cat, but a small tiger. Deciding not to join in whatever conversation they were surely having, she leaned against the wall about ten feet away, seeing what elements these people had.

((Shao, I'm sorry, but you need to meet the others at the port. There is only supposed to be one Mage Ship transport to the school. I really am sorry to be a brat.))

Krov looked at Avalia, he didn't know much about the elements, he only knew about wind. he thought about it for awhile, he could fly, i mean if you can call it flying. He has practiced flying but never worked he only seemed to jump 20 feet into the air and go forward about 30 ft. Krov could only nod "Well, yes kinda." He said looking around nervously.

Curious as she was about the group, she figured her normal strategy "barrel in and say hi really loud" would do more harm then help. Amy sat down by a girl who was drawing on her arm.

"Those are beautiful," she said softly so as not to frighten her, "I'm assuming you're an ice mage? I'm Amy, and I'm a water mage, nice to meet you.~" Amy tried to sound as calm and reassuring as the waves of the sea, although she knew that sooner or later those waves would crash and she'd be back to her over-excited self. It was at that exact moment of internal conflict, that the seasnake came out of hiding and slithered into view.
