Sidney had nearly faded into the background scene, his eyes having shifted to the sight of the ocean by second- nature.  It was only when he'd been directly addressed that he reentered the conversation.  "My element?  I got electricity."  He grinned.  "But I can't do much with it, I'm afraid.  Basically, I can charge electronics.  Oh, and there's this nifty little trick my friends back home enjoy.  Watch this-"

Out of his pocket he snatched a small lightbulb, grasping it gently in his fingers.  "And...  On!"  He held the bulb up, now radiating a bright yellow glow.  It flickered out after several seconds, Sid replacing it comfortably in it's home pocket.

"Hey wait..."  He paused, glancing breifly to the few elementals who had animals with them.  "You wouldn't happen to have a pet, would you?"

Amy looked up at the shouting girl, then down at her snake.

"It's alright," she said reassuringly, "it won't get eaten." She picked up the little seasnake which immediately got itself curled around her neck and buried its head in her shirt. "Hey now," she scolded, poking it through her shirt neck. "Play nice, you hear?" Untangling the hiding snake from her neck, Amy placed it back on the ground and it slithered up to the girl who'd been yelling.

"It wants to say thanks for worrying." Amy told her. "Stick out your hand if you're not shy and it'll climb up on you. Oh by the way" Amy said with a smile, "the name is Amy, I'm a water mage, nice to make your aquaintance.~" 

"Bad Ono." Avalia scolded the tiger and he hung his head in shame, sorry for what he had tried to do. He looked up at her with pleeding eyes. I just wanted to play. He whined. She folded her arms and made what sounded like growls to the surrounding people, but in reality, she said. "No, you need to stop trying to chase other animals, it isn't nice." He apologized to her and Avalia turned to the snake and made hissing noises. "He says he is sorry." Avalia said to the small snake in its language...

((I hope speaking to animals is okay, after all, she is earth.))

  Sara smiled down at the little snake. He certainly appeared friendly. She extended her arm to the little thing and allowed it to slither up her wrist, where she held it out for Avalia to speak to. "He's kind of cute, for a snake. And the tiger is adorable." She offered a hopeful smile. "I'm Sarafina, but you can call me Sara or Fi. I'm a fire mage. It's nice to meet you!"

((That's perfectly fine.))

The snake cocked its head at the girl. Since it was part sea-creature, the language of the land snakes could be considered as someone speaking traditional french to a canadian. The languages were close enough to understand, but a bit slurred. 

"It's alright, really." Amy replied for it. "He didn't mean any harm from what I see, so there's no need to worry." She held out her hand for the snake and it made its way back into her jacket. "It's a bit of a sociaphobe so I wouldn't blame your tiger completely even if it did get a bit roughed up." Amy extended her hand to the tiger for him to sniff. 

"So your name is Ono huh?" she said softly to him. She then addressed the girl who was obviously his owner. "I'm Amy, and I'm a water mage, it's great to meet you... Serafina and ummm" 

"Oh, hi then Ava, may I call you Ava?" said Amy. Oh no, she thought to herself, I'm going into hypermode again. Breathe, breathe!

"If you ever need my help with any of your plants then, feel free to ask! I love the smell of fresh flowers in the morning." She took a close look at Ava's face. "No need to clam up, feel free to express yourself." she said a bit too loudly. "That's what my dad always says anyways, he's in to all that, "Be yourself" and "Don't stop believing" stuff a bit over his head. It's been drilled into me since I was little, so I'm an over-optimist." Amy laughed and shrugged her shoulders. "What can ya do you know?" 

Amy looked over at Sara and patted her on the back. "So, you got one of those fiery tempers so characteristic of fire mages I've heard so much about?" There was a bit of rivalry between mages of the two elements, but Amy didn't care much for it, she was just curious as to how they acted which made water mages upset enough to start a rivalry.

"You think Sara?" Amy looked at Ava. "Now that I think about it, you're kinda right. You know, besides the obvious differences that come with tribe bloodline, hair color, skin color, we do look pretty similar, creepy." Amy stared at herself internally. It is completely possible, she thought, afterall, all I have to go on about my past is from my hag of a foster mother. Amy shivered in distaste. Remembering her foster mother, the bag of bones and greed that she was. She'd been too cheap to pay Amy's tuition fee, she'd had to earn her own scholarship instead. "Well what are we waiting for? Let's  go!"
