Amy slid to a halt when Ava spoke up. "Yeah I'm 16, and my birthday is November 14th, at eleven thirty pm apparently. I guess that's close enough right?" Amy tightened her grip on her things. "It's time to go, the boat is docking." She said, changing the subject so as to not make it awkward for Sara. "I'm getting on, I'll save you guys seats kay?" Amy bounded down the dock to greet the skipper, singing another tune. Well either way, she thought, it seems I've found some friends here, this is going to be a great year!

Krov looked up at the boat as he pulled in, was this year going to be fun at all? All he had talked to was Sara, Sidney... well kinda, and Avalia. He watched as Sara and Avalia walked over to the girl with the seasnake, he would of followed but mostly he  was too shy and scared deathly of snakes.

He started to walk away when he heard the girl with the seasnake say that the ship was docking, he looked over towards the dock and saw she was right. Krov walked onto the boat and looked around, he has never been on a boat, so he doesn't know where to sit or even what to do! He was so scared he wanted to go back to the mountins.

Sylvia sat down next to him, glad he'd found somewhere to sit. She was too shy to try to continue the conversation on further, so took out her sketchpad instead, and began sketching the people around her. Finally finished on one that was the perfect likeness to someone across the boat, she laid the sketchpad open in her lap and waited for them to set off.

Amy waved to the skipper who'd just disembarked the ship and skipped over to say hello.

"'ello sir, are you going to be our captain today?" she asked.

"Yes, th't I be." he answered in a strong scottish accent. "And I reck'n ye be one of 'em new students ey?"

"A sharp one you 'er there." she said, copying his accent so terribly that they both burst out laughing.

"Welcome aboard, Lass, I be Capt'n Harvard, skipper to the boat Maid of Mage. What'd they call ye?"

"My name is Amy, Amy Bleu de France, and I'm a water mage, pleased to make your aquaintence Mr. Harvard." she replied, bowing deeply.

"Now now, none of th't, we be friends aye? Call me Harry, Lass. And if ye be a wat'r mage, how's 'bout helpin' me wit drivin' this thing? Gets a bit rough once we hit that wee barrier." he complained, tilting his hat a bit as he spoke.

"Course Harry, I'll help however I can!" Amy yelled enthusiastically.

Due to her rushing, Amy realized she'd forgotten one of her bags and rushed out to grab it. She looked around at the small docks, taking it all it. She wasn't going to get a look at the outside world much during the school year, so she figured might as well remember this. Her snake came out, curious as to why they'd left the boat. She petted him softly, "Little one, we'll be going soon, I just forgot something, that's all." If it could talk, she swore it scoffed at her before going back to his hiding spot. Everyone but her was on the boat now and it looked pretty ready to set off already, bumping along with the waves from the outer coves. Amy made her way back to the boat and sat down in her seat, twiddling her thumbs. 

Krov looked over at sylvia, should he make confersation? He sighed and looked at her arm, he saw all of the little snow flakes she had drew on her arm "I-I gues you're an i-ice mage?" He asked her, as his eye level went from her arm to her eyes.

Getting extremely bored sitting around, Amy went to the control room to find Harry munching on scones. Grabbing one and stuffing it in her mouth, she looked up at him as he took another one and bit a small piece off, looking back at her with a funny ex
pression.

"So this is how childr'n eat these dais huh? A wee bit undignified if you ask me, but then again, no body did."

"Man," she said with disdain, "lighten up." To show her what he was seeing, Harry shoved his scone into his mouth the same way she had, and they both cracked up looking at each other's faces. Just then, they felt the boat rock a bit, then a bit more. Amy started to wobble, and fell to her knees, her eyes growing large.

"No, not now, I can't, lose, control." she muttered, almost unaudibly. A few seconds passed before the water stopped, and Amy got up and brushed herself off as if it'd never happened.

"Sorry Harry, but it looks like I'm not ready to assist you yet. I'm sorry, I have to go." She ran out of the control room and took her seat next to her new friends, quickly falling asleep from exhaustion. 

Krov pointed into the sky "i-im a wind mage, my names Krov." He told her as he held out his hand for her to shake. He hoped he could get to know this girl alittle better, she was like him, shy and not so good with other people.

[[Naw, he's supposed to fail. So's she, they're both socially awkward, as far as I cn tell. And the post itself wasn't a fail.]]

Sylvia took his hand, a little hesitantly. ''I... My name's Sylvia.... Nice to m-meet you... Krov.'' She thought it was an unusual name, and might have remarked upon it if she knew him better. Or was braver. Sadly, she was neither.

While Amy slept, her little snake decided it didn't want to get crushed, and came out of hiding, situating himself behind her head to sunbathe. It then got bored and slithered around, stopping to look up at Krov and Sylvia. It flicked its tongue, then made its way back to Amy's jacket, where it curled up since she'd stopped moving around and was at peace.

Krov nodded and looked back at the dock "I- Uh I'm from the mountins if your wandeing why my name is so weird." He said as he took out a juice pack and started to take a sip from it. He looked down at his feet when he saw the seasnake from before he put his feet on his chair when he saw it slither back away. He sighed with relief and put his feet down.

''Oh... uh... I'm kindof from the mountains too... Canada...'' Hesitantly she added, ''And... uh... I-I like your name.'' lancing at the sea snake, Sylvia hoped it wouldn't come back. She hated snakes.
