Roz was trapped with an angry—well maybe not angry, slightly annoyed—first mate breathing down her neck. She saw right through me, she mused. Fear was not something exactly looked highly upon on the Sepmalia. Then again, Roz had always been a strange case, even since she had tried to become part of the Striders… She was a clutz, she knew it, and she had never been as serious as the others (most of the time), but at the same time she had perfect aim with her gun. “Well,” she began slowly. “It’s a bit hard to explain. I’ve never explicitly mentioned it, but I happen to have a bit of vertigo…” Perhaps she won’t see how I didn’t say “fear of heights”, Roz thought to herself, slightly hopeful. Fat chance that was. Karo was freaking sharp. -x- Don’t do it. Don’t join them. You don’t understand… Balance is everything. “Excuse me.” Asim looked up and— Oh craaaapp. Arren. The helmsman. Asim hadn’t realized he’d been standing right in front of him. “But you're blocking my view, and unless you want to be thrown overboard as bait for the Spearbirds that we're shortly going to be flying into, I'd suggest moving out of the way." There was a pause. “Or I could move you.” He really wants some action, Asim thought to himself, smiling. “No. I’ll move,” he said, amused. “I was just supposed to check the Slyvein levels.” He stepped aside. What his crew members thought of him was a mystery. Arren probably thought him a weak human. And he’s probably right, Asim reflected. It wasn’t like him to deny his faults. Better to accept them. Better to accept things as they come. Defeat, loss, truth… Those too. However bitter they might make oneself. He eyed the dagger in Arren’s hand. “One less deckhand means more work for everyone,” Asim commented, as though he wasn't being threatened with a dagger at all.

"It's not like I'm the one who would be working," Arren said with a smirk. "I really don't care for humans. Brown-nosing little beings that hang onto the most powerful and influential thing they can find. Honestly, none of you would ever get anywhere in the real world without money and weapons." Sighing the helmsman shook his head and sheathed the dagger, already unnerved by the close proximity of the cold steel. Animals and man-made weapons were never made to mix. "Now, skedaddle," Arren said loudly, making shooing motions with his clawed hands, making sure the human deckhand got a good view of his sharp nails. "I have a ship to steer and I don't need some low-level mundane to distract me." -- "If by vertigo you mean a fear of heights, I can as.sure you that you don't have it, Roz." Shaking her head at the deckhand Karo wondered if Roz really was cut out for this life. She's nervous, jumpy, she's 'afraid of heights' and it looks like Roz is constantly worrying about what people think of her. Time for some inspirational but very cheesy words? "I really don't want to say this," Karo began, slapping the palm of her hand to her forehead, "but honestly, just be the best you you can be, and ignore everyone else. Just...do that and I'm sure you'll be fine." [Short...Dx]

((Will post for Ruya member later.)) Sakura walked down the steps into the belly of the ship, looking at all the crates and barrels crammed into the space. She began to hum to herself, softly, a song that her mother used to sing to her. That was when she was young and times had changed, she was no longer a little girl but rather a tall girl with jet black hair and emerald green eyes. She froze, her ears picking up a muted sound that may have been a sigh and the shifting of weight. "Stowaway." She hissed silently, tugging a small silver blade from its sheathed which was strapped to her thigh so as to be easily hidden. She bent her knees some to allow her weigh to distribute throughout the floor without making sound, or very little sound. She heard the shifting of weight again, most likely bored and irritable. She kicked over the barrel, watching it crash open and spill out its contents. ((Sorry its small now eating.))

Adon let out a small whoop, as he was thrown upside down in the box. Before he knew it, he had been tossed out along with the contents of the barrel. After such a long time without usage of his legs, he clumsily stood up. His green eyes seemed to light up in surprise and anger, but also curiosity at being found. He clenched his fists, activating the ring on it, and scanned the room for the intruder. His eyes settled on a girl, his forest eyes moving up to meet hers. He released his hands, and pointed them at the ground, releasing the energy from the silver ring that had begun to build. He'd rather not display his power, if it was not needed. He preferred the element of surprise, which this girl happened on using on him. He'd of course never admit to his being surprised. Seeing the sword dangling from the girl's hand, Adon kept his muscles tense and stayed where he was. He wouldn't attack her, but if need be, he was willing to fight. So, Adon spoke up, utilizing his favorite weapon, his tongue. "I'm not very happy," he admitted to the girl, raising his eyebrow. "You seem to have interrupted my daily nap," with a smirk, Adon awaited her response, curiously. His sharp wit and attitude tended to annoy most that he first acquainted.

"So sorry to wake you. Pleasant(?) dreams?" Sakura replied cooly, sarcasim coming naturally to her. She eyed the ring of silver and squeezed her fist tighter around her dagger, hoping that this stowaway wouldnt be the cause of her being found out, the cause of a secret to be revieled. A very important secret. "Why are you here? Come to steal our treasures? Money? Shards?" Her deep green eyes narrowed, slitting to cat like slivers to prove she was powerfull herself. She did a once more look over of the guy, relaxing her muscles a little before peeking up at the ceiling above, wondering what she should do. Her eyes returned to normal as she sheathed her dagger, putting her hands up to say 'peace'. "I am Sakura, I take it you are a magic user as well? What is your name?" She asked, never removing her gaze from him, not frightened of him but fully aware that if it came down to hand to hand combat that she would surely be pinned quickly. ((Sorry for the fail XP))

Adonis raised his eyebrow at the girl's many questions. "Well, Sakura, you're a curious little thing, aren't you?" he commented with a smirk, determined to get under this girl's skin. He sighed and relaxed his muscles accordingly, though, when she gestured. "I'm Adon. That's short for Adonis. And I come to steal nothing. Just to hitch a ride on this little air ship," he replied with a icy glare over at Sakura. He slyly avoided her previous question, the one of being a magic user. She most likely would notice, but there was always the chance she would just shrug it off. She had spotted his ring quickly, though. To avoid her looking at it again, Adon shoved his right hand into his pocket. That should harsh a little of her curiosity. At least, he hoped. ((Ahh, short. Sorry! Writer's Block... DX))

((Lols, thats alright. Wednsdays are a nightmare for me so this is all I get to post before I'm off to bed.)) "Well, it's very nice to meet you, and dont worry. Your secret is safe with me, the ring, it is important isnt it? Trust me, when it comes to secrets, I am bound for life." Sakura lowered her eyes to the ground, wishing to return home, her true home. But as a 'member' of this ship, she was forced to stay and hunt for shards and all that what-not. "Though, secrets shared with me earn you a few in return." She prodded, hoping to get the information on the ring. It very well may prove usefull on my mission. I may need him, as much as I dont want to admit it, but what else am I to do? No crew, no back up. What if I get caught? She thought to herself, hiding the panic that had risen to her eyes quickly, hoping that it wasnt seen.

"Ring?" Adon replied, in mock innocence. He laughed, before continuing. "It's important enough," he added, growing serious. "It was p*censored*ed on to me, from my mom. It was my father's ring. I've only recently discovered it's powerful use. By accident, actually." Adonis chuckled, as if reminiscing a funny story. His eyes refocused back on Sakura, before he spoke again. "It can paralyze anyone, with just a flick of my hand. Of course, the effects are only temporary." Adon took his hand back out of his pocket, and studied the small carvings on the silver ring. "It sure comes in handy, though," he added, a mischievous glance flitting over to Sakura. He reluctantly put his hand back in his pocket. Taking a step closer to Sakura, he was a silent for a moment. "What secrets are you hiding?" he asked, a curious spark in his eye.

Sakura held her ground, scowling at his little unspoken joke. "Well now, that would depend on what you wanted to know. I have oh so many secrets, I just dont know which one to share." She smiled innocently, but her thoughts raced having no idea of what tell him. What if he asked about her reason for being here? That wasnt her only problem, what if he asked about her past and why she was here? Should I invent a history? She wasnt sure what to do but she decided she would evade anything that could give her position away. ((Dang, this is a failure! Just got off from school so still dead.))

Adon took his hand out of his pocket, once again. This time he removed his ring. Tossing it around in his hand a few times, he spoke, "You know, I've never been paralyzed by my ring before, but from what I've heard it can be a pretty gruesome experience," He grinned over at Sakura, slyly. In all actuality, this was a completely idle threat. He knew for a fact for the ring's effects to be quick and painless. Most just ended up confused and distracted when it's effects wore off, and highly annoyed at Adon's little disappearing act, that often accompanied use of the ring. Adon slid the ring back onto his fingers, nimbly flexing his hand and aiming at a spot near Sakura. His ring flashed as the paralyzing affected a nearby rat, looking for stray crumbs. "Whoops," Adonis murmured, with a suggestive sideways glance at Sakura. He walked to a crate next to Sakura, and leaned against, folding his arms and watching her, pointedly. "A secret in exchange for my own..." he prompted. ((No worries, I didn't find it to be a failure. ;D))
