Renn noded to Mapel then turned to Norsa, "We will hunt later" She sat up and hoped down from the rock and padded in the direction of where the rest of the clan was. Her tail flicked back and forth abcentmidedly as she walked like it had a mind of it's own.

((Grrr I couldn't think of what to type so it's a bit small this time.))

Kasey could smell Renn coming back from whereever she had went this morning. He padded out of the tree hollow. He saw Renn and some other cat. At least he thought it was a cat. It smelled like a cat at least. "Whos that?" Kasey asked looking at the hairless. He tried to be nice but he was just so un used to what he was seeing.

"This is Maple" Renn said sitting down. "He will be helping us prepare for the up and coming winter so treat him as you would a clan-mate." she explained to him her eyes telling him to hold his tongue if her had a problem with it becuase she knew he would. He never did like new comers.

"Well Kasey will need some getting used to but the rest of them will be much nicer." Renn confirmed in a whisper. "So shall we begin with the preparations for winter?" she asked in at a normal volum. She stood up and padded into the tree hallow. "Be nice or you sleep outside" she told Kasey as she passed him by on the way in.

Kasey understood and nodded. He padded into the tree after Maple and sat down at the entrance.

Renn took a deep breath and turned away from Kasey and continued walking into the woods. "You catch the rabits and i'll meet you back at camp." she didn't turn to look at him and her voice was still a bit off but she pretended as if nothing had happened. Kasey and Renn whent their seprate ways Kasey going to the west and Renn going to the north.

Renn sniffed the air her mouth open a bit to catch the scent of a bird. She looked up to the sound of flaping wings seeing phesants with long fluffy tail feathers. She padded after them her paw steps silent on the ground. The birds landed near a large pond to clean themselves and probably take a break and catch some fish or wathever they ate. She crouched down her belly hitting the ground as she stalks twords the birds.

Kasey was still thinking about how Renn had just....blown up I guess you could say. He sniffed the air with little intrst in if there was actually the scent of rabit in the air and continued walking in the westward direction.

Maple sat boredly near the entrance to the camp. "Word around camp is that there's a new cat." said a voice. Maple looked up and was surprised at who he saw. "A..Aspen!?" Maple gasped.

Renn got close to one of the birds and took a deep silent breath. She kneaded the ground with her paws before she lunged at the closest bird and brought it to the ground. she sank her teeth into it's neck and cracked the neck as the body of the phesant whent limp. The other birds had noticed the birds destressed cry and had flown off in fight. "Drat" she muttered to herself. She took the bird by the neck again and back twords the forest.

Kasey herd a russle in a bush and her crouched down instictivly. He padded silently twords the bush ready to attack. He got close to the bush and sniffed it but he couldn't smell anything. he peered into the bush.

Maple jumped excitedly to his paws. "Aspen~!" he mreowed happily. "It's so good to see you!" Aspen smiled. "Hi, brother!" she purred. "I thought you where in Europe with your French human?" she wondered. "Nope. He.. died before we could get on the boat to Europe." he mewed. Aspen sighed. "Oh.. Well, where's Father?" she asked, changing the subject. "Father..? Well, a badger severely wounded him and the old cat lost his memory about everything there is to know.. and then the dogs came. The ripped him nearly to shreds... that poor old cat.." he mewed. It pained him to talk about the gruesome memory. Aspen let out a little wail. "Oh no!" she whined. Her eyes dulled with pain and grief. "I.. I had no idea he was dead! That's the second time this month i learned someone I loved had died.." she said, her voice quieting. That was when Maple learned his sister was going to have a litter of kits that would be fatherless. "I'm sorry to hear about Sky's death.." Maple mewed. "He was hit by a car while trying to escape a group of human children.. I had just learned I was pregnant when he died.." Aspen said softly. "Now my kittens will never know their father..."

Aspsen had gone back to eating a squirrel and maple wated instensly for Renn to return.

Renn padded back to the tree carrying a phesant in her jaws. She droped the dead bird at the entrance to the hollow, "I will be back I have another" she said to Mapel as she dashed back in the direction she had just come from. A couple miutes later Renn had come back with another pheasant in her mouth and droped it next to the other bird she had carryed in. She sat down and waited with Mapel for Kasey to return.

Renn and Mapel weren't kept waiting long. Kasey was sauntering back to the large tree with two rabits in his jaws. He set down the prey on top of Renns catch and sat down to likc his paws. "So what now?" he asked Mapel woundering what the next step was.
