"Um... By 'didn't see you', I'm gonna have to say... They're sort of chasing me?" Featherpaw said, putting on a cheesy smile.

Hawkkit was puzzled.  "If it's so harmless - not to mention cool-looking in my mind - then why are we supposed to attack it?" he asked Pinkwhisper.

 At his leaders command Wolfsong sprinted off after the intruder. He called after it, frustrated that it was faster than him "Get back here you foxhearted beast! You can run from FrostClan!"

Sharpclaw sighed and rolled her eyes.  "I don't think we are going to come out of this unscathed."  She sighed.  "I guess Sharptooth was right."  His insults echoed in her head, a true mentor would never let their apprentice get into something like this.

"Well.." Pinkwhisper paused, sighing.  How could she explain this to a kit?  "Winterstar.. and many other cats in the clan, think that different is bad.  They don't take time to try and make peace, but instead wage war, no matter what, to keep things the same as they've always been." 

(( I'm under a mega brainfail right now. D;))

"But... Change is supposed to be good, right?" Hawkkit inquired.

Hailfoot saw Sharpclaw and Featherpaw.  "There's two now!" he growled to his leader.

Featherpaw gasped.  "They're coming! And we're still a long way from the border!" she said.  Quickly, she stumbled to her paws.  She started to run, but tripped again.  "Ooohh.. Running is SO not my thing." she muttered.

Finally catching up with the winged cat he realized that it was too small to be a warrior. He sheathed his claws again and pounced on the cat pinning it to the ground to give it a chance to explain why its here. He growled slightly under his breath to the cat. "Listen i"m not a heartless cat so I'm giving you a chance to explain yourself. I'm also not weak. So try anything and you're done for. Got it?"

Featherpaw was trapped.  She couldn't struggle free this time.. She didn't have any energy left.  "Let me go!" she said.  Even though she knew she couldn't escape, she kept trying to.  Her wings ached from the deep scratches.

Winterstar snarled.  "So it is a raid.  We must fight to show them we mean business."  He raised his voice, "Frostclan!  Attack!"

Sharpclaw's eyes widened.  She kicked the Frostclan warrior off of Featherpaw, knowing that she may get hurt.  "Run Featherpaw!" She turned towards the Frostclan cats, who were coming nearer.  "GO!"  She said in a commanding tone.  This was the most serious she ever was in her life.  "Well Starclan, I've become a true warrior."  She said, looking up at the sky.  "Too bad I wont be able to show Sharptooth."

Pinkwhisper nodded.  "That is true, but many don't agree."  She sighed again.  "They think all mutants are evil monsters.  Sure, there may be a few bad apples, but hey, every clan has a few bad apples.  That doesn't mean the whole clan is evil, but many think that anyway."

Featherpaw growled.  "No! You run back with me! We won't fight!" she said, going to stand in front of Sharpclaw.

"That's bad! We have to stop them!" Hawkkit said, bolting to the forest. "Stop, Winterstar!" he said. "They aren't evil!!"  He stood in front of his leader. "No.. Don't! The one with wings is cooooolll!"

"FrostClan's after us!" Featherpaw said.  "We have to get back to camp! Come on, Sharpclaw!" The apprentice attempted to push her mentor towards the border.
