(So many wolf mixes and me and AirForceGirl have the same dog breeds. :) Here's my intro.)
Shadow was standing near Marro and Amanda,tuning out Marro's story. Her ears were pricked up and her fur was covered with the blood of a recent battle. As she watched the events outside the alley she barked at Marro,"Would you quit telling those stupid stories over and over?" She licked her lips and turned to look at him and his little 'pet' female dog. Walking over she took a spot near them on a blanket and put her head down. "Those stories get really annoying,mutt."

Rosy had finshed the meat and continued roaming around her packs territory. It usually wasnt her job to patrol but on cool nights like this she did it anyway. She thought about the dog that Nerrez was talking about. Such a strange sounding dog. But why did he want him? He only had three legs and half a tail. She decided to taker her mind off it but badly wanted to look for the dog. As she was walking she came upon a cat. As her insticnt, she barked and chased after the cat. It screeched and stratched Rosy's nose hard. Rosy let out a small whimper but continued chasing it off the Mafia's territory. She chased it and it led her to an anclove. Weary,Rosy stopped and caught her breath. She hasnt chased a cat for months and it was sure full of adrenaline, kind of. But Rosy licked her nose, tasting blood and watched it drip to the floor. "Ugh, stupid cat.." she whispered. Inside the anclove, she saw two dogs. Rosy growled fiercley, "What are you doing here?". She could see a bit clearer now, two males, one looked like a husky and the other seemed like a mixture of lots of dogs. (( Whats an anclove, Wulfey? o3o ))

Tux had been dosing lightly while laying next to Zeus and barked as the intruder entered. He cocked his head and growled at her as Zeus answered coolly. "Seeing as this is our Anclove, what is your name?" He says, before looking at the ferociously growling Tux and suppressing a smile. "And think over your answer, wouldn't want my brother to be let loose now, would we?" He asked, as Tux gave a particularly fierce growl and and bared his teeth.
Zeus looked at the female closer and saw the tell-tale scratch marks on her nose that told him she'd been chasing cats. Tux, meanwhile seemed to have calmed down, but his ears were pricked up in alert and he'd already glanced at Zeus, as if reassuring himself that his brother was unharmed, but as a whole was still snarling at the female from time to time.

Nerezz looked at the two who had dragged in a goat. He was a little confused at how they found a goat this far into the city, but didn't care enough to ask any questions. With a growl he said, " Oh yes. Lovely. " In all honesty he was tired of dealing with other dogs for today, but it didn't feel right to take out his anger on them when all they had done was drag in some fresh meat. Despite living as a mafia leader, he still had some morals. That was why dogs were loyal to him in the first place. If he were a heartless monster they would probably just kill him and do what they want. Despite this he couldn't help but glare at them. They really had come in at the wrong time. Then, he had an idea. " Hey. How would you two like to be part of a special mission? "
Marro paused, his mouth still open as he had stopped in the middle of talking. " Ey! Is that a challenge girly? " Marro growled, glaring at Shadow. It seemed like she always had something nasty to say when she was around him, and he was getting sick of it. This was his terf, not hers! She could at least show some semblance of respect.
Amanda quietly sighed and lean over to Marro, whispering " Don't go starting a fight right now. I'd like to have at least one area of this neighborhood be blood free. " He really needed to control his temper better. Sure, Shadow could have worded that better but he still didn't need to go for her throat for it. By now, the other dogs had realized something was up and were either silent or whispering to each other while they stared at Marro and Shadow.

Rosy rolled her eyes at the growling mutt. "Please. I'd like to see what he's got." she said glaring slightly at the dog named 'Tux'. The other, though, seemed more calm. Rosy decided to not to try to get into a fight tonight.Every other night she had to deal with fighting off a dog of the Mafias territory. "And secondly you dont have to know my name, it isnt important who I am. And this is the Mafia's territory. Unless, of course your in the Mafia then Im sure there isnt any hard feelings?" she said looking at the both of them, showing just a bit of teeth.

Raeyura looked confused at Nerezz's glare, cocking her head and narrowing her eyes a bit, but Navion knew not to question it. When Nerezz asked them to perform a mission, Raeyura barked excitedly and pawed at the ground; she had never been on an official mission before, beside food gathering, of course. "Sure, boss," Navion replied, smiling slightly at Raeyura's antics, "What exactly is the mission?"

Tux growled again, but before he could retort angrily Zeus cut in, glancing at his brother. "We're in the Mafia, and my brother here has ripped dogs tougher than you to shreds." Tux growled again to illustrate his point, before laying down, his eyes switching from being fixed to the female and Zeus. "Now you name?" Zeus asked impatiently, knowing that if she attacked, Tux would meet her with a fierce retort of his own. "Or is that confidential?" He asked mockingly. Tux stood at this and spoke for the first time in the females company. "Where do you stand in the Mafia?" He asked, a surprisingly British accent tinting his deep voice.

Shadow shook her head with a smirk and replied,"Not searchin' for a fight right now. Just tellin' ya the bitter truth." She then raised her head up when she her the female speak and nodded. "Your 'pet' is smarter than I thought,since I always thought prissy dogs were the stupidest thing on the face of the planet." A smile flashed at Amanda before her head fell back to the ground.

Rosy laughed a bit. "I'd like to see him 'tear through my skin'. Oh no what will I do?" She asked looking at the sky mockingly. "Anyway I'm Rosy." She said, answering Zues question. She then looked to Tux after he asked what her position was. She didn't realize he had a bit of a British accent. "I'm one of Nerezze's killers. You know the one he releases on the enemy gangs. Only the 'little' missions but I'm hunting a dog he is looking for now." She said in a bit of a bitter tone. "What about you guys?" She asked

Nerezz grinned and said, " Oh it's a very special one. Top secret. I want you to track the members of my top ten. Keep an eye on them. Make sure they aren't doing anything...undesirable. And make sure they don't see you. " He had been getting the feeling lately that one of them wasn't doing what he had been told to do. There was no other way a dog could evade the mafia this well unless they had some inside help, and Nerezz was determined to find out who was leaking information.
Marro snorted indignantly before continuing his story with a drawn out " Aaaanyways. " The other dogs sensed that the aggression had died down and they could go back to their conversations. Soon the area was once again filled with the normal happy barks and growls.
Amanda watched Shadow for a few more moments, uncertain of whether she should be offended or not. In a strange, twisted way she had received a compliment, but all of the derogatory terms made her rather unhappy. Finally she decided that she didn't want to have to look at Shadow and gave Marro a brief statement of, " I'm going on a walk, " before leaving.

Raeyura nibbled on the goat's leg, seemingly not paying attention, but her ears were pricked and she took in every word. When Nerezz had finished speaking, Navion cocked his head in confusion, and asked hesitantly, "Wait- you don't trust your top ten? I mean, of course we accept, but why?"
Ambrosia was prowling the streets that she thought of as hers with a piece of hot dog in her mouth, quite satisfied with her morning so far. She saw a shape in the distance that was Amanda. Another dog? she thought, This should be interesting. She slunk back into the shadows and watched her intently as she drew nearer. |

(wow I missed quite a bit)
Hercules trotted quickly with his tail tightly tucked between his back legs, from the circle of high ranked bullies that were hurting and calling him names because of his low rank. His sides were cut deeply and bleeding, and the fur on his rump was torn out and sore. His dark coat was streaked with red, blood red. He tried to remember what the dog bullies looked like. Ten of them, well fed, good shape... No, they couldn't possibly be... Nerezz's top ten? He would be able to smell their rank... If he had the ability. Hercules sighed and continued trotting fearfully down an alley and past the place where Nerezz usually stayed. "So much for your top ten. More like top ten bullies." he muttered. He shivered from the bitter cold of the wind and lay down in a corner, staining the cold concrete ground beneath him crimson. Hercules nursed his deep wounds with pain filled grunts and yelps, but he couldn't help suffering from top ranked dogs. He howled a little, showing both pain and emotion, but cut short. He didn't have enough rank to howl, as howling was classed as showing territory. He shut his eyes tight and curled up into a shaggy brownish purple ball.

Shadow stood up and stretched when she caught the scent of blood and went to check it out. Soon she found Hercules and nudged him with her nose,making sure no one was around to see her trying to be kind. "Hey,Hercules. Are you alright?",she asked and then gave him a gentle lick on one of his bleeding wounds.

" That's not very important to your mission, so I don't see why I need to tell you. What's important is what your task is, not why you're doing it. Now go do it. " Nerezz said, the smile leaving his face. He didn't trust anyone with the things he knew anymore. With his top ten being a potential information leak, he had been getting stingier with what he was willing to tell them, and generally anything he wouldn't tell his top ten wouldn't be told to some dog who was a lower rank than that. If he were capable of it, Nerezz would have just spying on his dogs himself, but he didn't have time for that. He half a city to control and didn't have time to waste on paranoia. Without giving the two time to ask more questions, Nerezz left.
Amanda walked many blocks, nearing the edge of the neighborhood that Marro controlled. Everything in the place smelled like filth and dogs. She missed the cleanliness of her old home. And the warmth. And the safety. And, well, everything. She looked around and sniffed the air, smelling a dog that she didn't really recognize. While she didn't recognize the scent, she could tell a little bit about the dog behind it. They were definitely a street dog, but they didn't smell like mafia. Why would a non-mafia dog come by this part of town? Amanda decided to follow the scent, as she was curious about the other dog.

Hercules looked up at Shadow when she came over, talked to him and licked one of his wounds. "why would a high ranked dog like you care about the lowest of low ranks?" He asked in an innocent voice. He felt kind of honoured to be talked to so nicely, but was curious to know why.

Shadow smirked and replied,"I can smell the top ten in these wounds. When dogs are harmed by them,rank don't matter." She then sat down and added,"Plus,I don't care about ranks that much." Smiling now she yawned a bit and looked him over,the wounds were beginning to quit bleeding as much,but were still pretty bad.

Hercules looked up and whispered a faint "Thank you." before curling up next to Shadow. "I wish more dogs could be like you. Maybe it is something with big German Shepherds... Are you pure bred?" Hercules asked, and yelped a bit from his cuts. He then thought over his question. If he could smell, then he would be able to know wether Shadow was pure bred or cross bred. Now she would ask about his smell. Great.
